Express Plumbing Heating and Air Inc

Shady, so shady. So we used this company through a home warranty we got with our house. We had a slab leaked capped and they came out for reroute. Two guys show up look around and tell me 3500 bucks and my warranty will cover 500. I tell him no way and then he asks for 65 bucks for the service call. I tell him no and call the warranty company. The plumbers told them the job was 900. I will be copy and pasting this to the better business bureau.

I think the plumbers provide good service, but they need to listen to their voicemail. I have now left 3 messages telling them my plumbing issue has been resolved, but they keep calling.

— Wait for a week for the service
— The plumber came, almost did nothing in diagnosing the plumbing issues (not even put his finger into any works) but recommended another professional service. I felt either he is lacking of proper tools, knowledge, lie or lazy.
— Inconsistent report to Home Warranty that he did not show any proof and evidence
— Very rude and irresponsible.
Wish we should have checked the Unilocal reviews and asked Home Warranty to assign a professional plumbing company for the service. We did not have any confidence in this company!
Update: We called Home Warranty to get another professional service company and they fixed the issues right away. I told them what Express Plumbing Heating and Air Inc reported to home warranty and they laughed…

Would definitely not recommend. Long story short, I had some plumbing issues, one of which was the water pressure from my faucets had been decreasing over the past couple of months, initially with my kitchen sink, but eventually also in my tub and bathroom sink. I called my normal plumber out who has done quite a bit of quality work for me before and he fixed everything I needed. When I asked what the issue was with my faucets he said the dip line in the water heater was slowly disintegrating which was clogging the aerators and recommended my next major plumbing project should be a new water heater (my water heater is probably about 30 years old). Given I still have my home insurance from when I purchased the home, I reached out to them and they sent Express out. The Express plumber who came out basically said there’s no way my normal plumber could know that was happening. I should add, that was the Express plumbers opinion before he even walked in the door or looked at anything. He was here for about 5 maybe 10 minutes total and basically said its not possible and the aerators were clean. I explained again, which I had already told him, that of course they were clean since my original plumber cleaned them out a couple of days ago. He then advised me the issue could be either the city doing something with the water or deposits in the water. That later changed after further questioning of him to sedimentation at the bottom of the tank or dirt when they replaced the incoming pipe into the house. I kept trying to tell him that the other plumber had just, a couple of days prior cleaned the aerators out and replaced the pipe so yes the faucets were now working and no there was no way it was dirt from the pipe change since the issue was well prior to the pipe being changed out, but he refused to listen, and basically told me he didn’t know that since he wasn’t here. I told him I’d be happy to show him the invoice showing when and what had been done. He back tracked back to the fact there was no way to confirm the dip was deteriorating, essentially said he didn’t have xray vision. He kept insisting I’d have problems with the mixing of hot and cold water if it failed, I kept telling him I didn’t say it failed only that it was deteriorating which is what the original plumber told me based on what he pulled out of the aerators in the faucets. The express plumber kept insisting it was not possible to know that and informed me he’d been doing this for 20 years. I definitely felt he had made up his mind before even walking in the door so wouldn’t listen or even consider other possibilities. One of the worst experiences I’d had in a long time.

A pipe broke under my slab at my home in Carson, my home warranty sent out express plumbing out the two guys they sent did a good job cancelling water pipe and rerouting line through walls. Great job guys…

I was very impressed and happy with the management of this company. I still am very disappointed and angry with how their two plumbers treated our house (see initial review), but I am equally relieved and happy with how their management is handled and how they treated us.
A day after my initial review, I received a call from Express Plumbing giving me the opportunity to tell them what happened and to offer me compensation for my damages and time. I greatly appreciated their gesture. If the management of their company operates with this kind of integrity I am confident this problem will be fixed and I was just unfortunate to have these particular plumbers at my home.

I am a plumber and have a home warranty through Fidelity, I would have fixed several of my little misc. issues myself but it didn’t make sence since I have a home warranty. I have three high end toilets at my home (Kohler) that they don’t make any more. Retatil they are about $ 1000.00 each. Express told the home warranty that they needed replaced and Fidelity authorized it, Express called to make a appointment for the replacement, I asked what toilet manufacturer and model number were they going to put in, they refused to tell me and said I would have to take what they gave me, I refused, and the person that i was talking to was screaming at me over the phone. Fidelity warranty said Like for Like kind and quality. Express said I could take a cash out from Fidelity based on the info Express gave them they were going to give me $ 460.00 for all three toilets and that included labor. Express are a company of liars and deceivers the cheaper they are the more work they get usually at the customers expence. After talking to the home warranty myself and sending them pictures to prove what I had the manager at Fidelity told me if I had a high end toilet they would replace it with a high end toilet. After a couple more conversations with Fidelity (very cordial) they sent me a check for $ 2664.00 dollars to do it myself that’s $ 2204 more than express plumbing est. I have called Express plumbing several times to speak to the mgr or owner they never returned my call. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL BE TAKEN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. Although I have nothing against the teck that came to me house he’s had to come back three times as what he repaired isn’t working properly.

we had an appointment with this company through home warranty. very disappointing they gave us a 4 hour time frame (8 to 12) however they said they will be here mostly by 9 I told them I have to pick up my kids by 1 pm. they never showed up! I called 3 times! And I got to spoke to most unprofessional people ever! very rude. Girl that picked up the phone told me tech will come when ever he can! I explained but that girl was getting even more rude I asked to spoke to manager as this was not acceptable. after 12 minutes hold same girl with same voice picked up and claimed she is the manager. She was even more rude this time and said her name is Elize O.
I still can’t believe a company runs with that kind of customer service and management at the end i thought maybe its a joke or some sort of hidden camera! unbeliveable!
I called my home warranty and let them know who they are contracting with they which they didn’t seem surprise at all.

This company was dispatched by my home warranty company. I booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance and arranged my schedule around their appointment. Two days before the appointment, they called to inform me that my appointment window would need to be changed (instead of 8am-​noon, now it would be 10am-​2pm). They called again the next day to change the appointment window again.
The morning of the appointment, they called to cancel. I asked when they could reschedule and was told to call my warranty company for a reschedule.
Just a couple days ago they called, pretending to call from the warranty company to try and reschedule. When I finally got them to disclose that they were actually calling from Express Plumbing, I told them I would never do business with them. They seemed surprised.
AVOID EXPRESS PLUMBING!

Worst company ever. Find another provider. They send out inefficient workers and also try to rip you off. Trust me — they send out the same plumber twice and that one kept saying there was no leak, after collecting a bowl of water at the bottom sink they send a different guy who says yea there’s a leak. Seriously?! Trust me don’t waste your time or money with this company. Should’ve listened to the negatives reviews because they’re true.

We called Express Plumbing after having another company come out and tell us our shower and toilet could not be fixed within 10 min Neil was able to pinpoint the problem, got the parts, installed and within the hour everything was good to go! highly recommended to anyone with plumbing issues

This is a very annoying business. The insurance company sent out a plumber who could not figure out the problem with hot water pressure. Then they sent out one from Express Plumbing who concluded that I had to — at my expense — find someone to remove the sink and vanity so he could fix it. Express Plumbing’s ditsy receptionist keeps calling me to ask if I have removed the sink and vanity yet. I told her to stop calling and that I will let her know when I have done that since I have to find the time to find someone to do that and get the money together. The bimbo keeps calling me. I am writing this Unilocal review because she is costing me money by calling me on a prepaid phone. I have told her at least 8 times to stop calling and she keeps calling! They just want money and don’t care if they cost you some.

My home warranty send express plumbing to my property last month for a leaky water heater. Neil was sent out on a Friday afternoon to inspect it. After coming to conclusion that my water heater needed replacement, he explained to me he needed to get authorization from the warranty to do so and that would normally take a day or two … I got extremely sad since I figure I would be without hot water for more than 3 day which is no fun with kiddos at home. Neil was so nice and helpful, he put a rush to the authorization with the home warranty and I had a brand new water heater the next day! I would totally recommend express plumbing for their great service and great people!

Neil Terry was the most professional knowledgeable plumber to work on my home. I had a leaking tub faucet and clogged sink. Neil was very clean and courteous and fixed the problem in no time.

Had one of the technicians come out to fix my shower cuz I wasn’t getting any hot water. All he did was mess with the thermostat of the water heater. Still didn’t fix the problem. I called him back and he said he needed to talk to his supervisor but never heard from him again. Now my shower is leaking from the technician tightening the shower valve.

Russell W. Came to my home to fix a sink issue. He went above and beyond with his service, even with my children harassing him. I would recommend him to everyone I know! I appreciate the time he took and the extra things he did to prevent me from having to make another service call! Such a professional.

Terry, the owner of Express Plumbing Heating and Air, Inc, called me personally to ensure my continued leaking faucet was corrected. I genuinely appreciated his personal outreach to double check everything went well for my faucet.

I had Mathew out to my property to fix my AC & luckily the AC was just low on freon & he filled up my AC & I’m back to enjoying my summer with a cool breeze home. I would highly recommend Express Plumbing, Heating & Air! Worth 5 stars.

This review is on behalf of my dad house since he doesn’t have a Unilocal account. My dad was having a problem with his hot water coming out too slow and he made a phone call to his home owners insurance. The home owners insurance put a claim in that morning and almost immediately, he received a call from a gal named Katie at Express Plumbing Heating and Air to schedule a day to come and see what the problem was. Well having to wait at least 15 minutes for hot water and with our water shortage. She schedule him for the following day. Jonathan came out and said the water heater was over 10 years old and needed to be replaced. Jonathan replaced it super fast and with a much better unit. My dad was completely satisfied with the fast turn around, installation and great customer service.
My dad also wanted to mention this company has fixed his central air two years ago. He was glad they still delivered quality work.

Problem with backed up sink and needing a ‘clean-​out’ and kitchen pipe leaks
Warranty Company sent them out.
1^st time they were suppose to come out they called after the ‘time frames’ they were to show up that they were not coming — they said the plumber was held up at an emergency
2^nd time they were to show up — they called again after the time frame … to tell me that the plumber could still come out after 9PM!!!
3^rd time I schedule Saturday morning … and was assured I would be the 1^st one out or they would call me to let me know what was going on… 45 mins after they were to show up I called them… they told me the plumber was running late… OF COURSE THEY DIDNT CALL me I had to call them to find out… Keep in mind that I told them that my Warranty Company closes at 1pm to get any approvals… and I need a SENIOR plumber… 11:45 they sent a beginner new plumber out to my place!!! [more waste of time] and he fixes the leaks… supposedly [needed a 3^rd different plumbing company for that…]
I was on the phone right away complaining why they sent a new plumber out, why they were so late and my warranty company is about to close the lady who answered the phone was not helpful and could not tell me where and when her Senior plumber was coming out. So I asked for the shop manager and got Lattee… he was RUDE to me on the phone and even told me that I could go somewhere for a different plumbing company if I could not wait… he was short with me and gave me lots of rude attitude. Let me remind you he never EVER said sorry. Also Lattee could not tell me when his Senior Plumber was coming out…
Senior plumber eventually shows up at 12:50pm right before my Warranty Company closes… they dont want to wait on ‘hold’ to get an approval from my warranty company!!! Lattee gives them permission to leave.
They drive off… 20 min later they come back and tell me they can work on my plumbing and that they have pre approve amounts they can do… without the warranty company approval.
The Senior stayed with the new plumber to show him how to work the clean out. [I discovered later and cant prove it… the new plumber by accident I am sure put a hole in my kitchen shelf /​tight spot reaching and working on the clean out. I discovered that later with another plumber] I felt that — was a disservice to me for not telling me the new guy did that and fix it. If you do hire them STAY WITH THEM THE ENTIRE TIME and watch them.
I would advice not to use them.
I had another different company come out to fix the leaks which were suppose to be fixed by this company. I would write good things about that company but I dont remember their name they basically did a normal decent job. They fix the leaks.
