My name is Huyen Pham and I am the owner of CSR Plumbing. I have been a San Diego native for over 31 years. I grew up in the La Mesa area and got my bachelor’s in business at San Diego State University. During my enrollment at SDSU, I worked as a car stereo installer to pay my way through college. That was the first time I really started working with my hands and realize that I had a knack for it. After graduation, my father (original owner CSR) needed help with work and the rest is history. Under his tutelage, I obtained the tools necessary to build a solid foundation in which CSR is based on… provide the highest level of customer service and craftsmanship at a fair and reasonable price. With hard work and 100% commitment to the trade, CSR Plumbing will be regarded as the premier plumbing company of San Diego.

Called CSR for a plumbing problem. They were able to schedule me in the very next day. Their supervisor, Mike came out. He very quickly assess the problem. He patiently were over the options of what needed to be done. His vast years of experience was very evident as he took the time to explain the cause and the required repair. He quoted me the cost of the repair. He was very careful and inspected around the plumbing problem and found that the original installation was misaligned and realigned everything prior to the repair to ensure the problem would not occur again. He sweeped up and vacuumed all the mess after the repair was done. We had other plumbing questions and he took a look at the plumbing in other parts of the house and even replaced a few water filters for me. After he was done, I only paid the original quote and he would not accept any additional payment for replacing the water filters.

Called CSR for a second quote on my shower valve. Mike Colleta came out and gave me a max price of $ 200. I was psyched as the first quote was for $ 800 for a total replacement. Mike fixed it within the hour and I got to save a lot of money! Very happy I went with CSR. Honest fast service is hard to find in San Diego.
Update:
My neighbor had an hot water issue. Called CSR and requested Mike. Mike was able to save the unit versus a total replacement. My neighbor was very satisfied with CSR.

Ray is a lifesaver! He took care of our leaky toilet valve the same day we called. He also helped troubleshoot a couple other minor issues. He’s great as he took the time to thoroughly explain how things worked and how to prevent them from going bad. I’ve already used him for another job and would definitely recommend him to my coworkers if they are in need of a good plumber. Also, he’s a dog lover and had treats ready for the pooches. I contacted CSR Plumbing to replace my water heater’s anode rod. They responded quickly, were competitively priced, and owner Huyen was very friendly and professional over the phone.
Today the technician called a half hour out as requested, replaced the anode rod quickly, and cleaned up the area.
Very happy with CSR, will definitely be calling them in the future.

This is the first time I’ve worked with CSR and I’ll definitely be calling them again if I need anything else. I don’t know much about plumbing, so it’s important to me to have someone I can trust. Mike showed up on time, gave me a solid handshake, answered all of my questions, offered me some useful guidance on how to proceed (resulting in less work and a lower than expected cost), did a fantastic job, and cleaned-​up after himself thoroughly. It was Christmas in July!!! CSR got the city to pick up the tab! This rental is in city heights so the plumbing pipe is very old around that area. The pipe broke. I received 2 estimates. One is from a plumbing friend that can do it for 10k assuming all goes as planned. My friend has his own plumbing company and has done multiple jobs for my husband rental also. Our other estimate was from a big plumbing company for 30 something K. Both people say it was hard or not possible for the city to pay for it and I would have to fight hard for it to happen. I was at the dinner table with my husband and sad thinking I had to take my rental profit out I’ve been collecting to pay for this. I made myself feel better by telling myself I will still come up on top after paying for this, since my rental was been a cash cow all these years and with the booming real estate market. But I was not ready to part from my money…
My brother refer me to CSR. He said CSR is a reputable company. Does big job for corporations and don’t take short cut. He also said CSR is competitively price so they are not the cheapest guy in town. I gave CSR a ring. CSR said that if they got the city to resolve my problem I would pay 400 and if the city doesn’t fix it I won’t pay anything. I had nothing to lose. I was so relieved CSR was willing to fight the battle with me. CSR went to look at my plumbing issue and got the city to come out. In a couple days the city was out there digging pipes in the alley fixing my plumbing problem. Everything is resolved. Love CSR! Geat service because you only pay if your issue is resolved! Best $ 400 I ever spent! Thank you CSR!

If you’re looking for a great plumber look no further and call CSR! These guys were extremely knowledgeable, efficient, polite and respectful of my home and property. Alex and Alan came to my house the very next morning after speaking to Huyen. I had advised him this wasn’t an emergency as the issue was in my guest bathroom, which is rarely used, but nevertheless he sent someone out as soon as he was able to.
Alex and Alan arrived on time and were quick to fix seal that was installed improperly on my toilet. Even though they had to take the whole toilet off the floor and replace the seal, they had everything done within 20 minutes! That’s a sign of someone who really knows exactly what they’re doing. They left my bathroom fixed and spotless.
I’ll only call CSR for any of my future plumbing needs and I suggest anyone who wants a knowledgeable and honest plumber do the same! Thanks CSR!

«Rumble, rumble, rumble???» Uh-​oh, that doesn’t sound good :(…what to do, what to do?! I tell myself, should I put in a claim with my home owners insurance? But there isn’t any water damage. With that said, my insurance adjuster recommends me to withdraw my claim & call CSR PLUMBING and pay out-​of-​pocket (no increase in my premiums)… Best part, they’re local (San Diego/​Chula Vista), perfect!
I call and I speak to Nguyen and he gives me possible scenarios on what it could be… b/​c he knows what he’s doing :) I schedule a visit and because the repair didn’t require immediate attention, they come out a couple days, later.
Long story short… SUCCESS!!! Everything I had described was exactly what he serviced. He gave me a FLAT price with labor, parts, and tax included. No hidden fees. Nguyen and Ray replaced regulator & ball valve from the main water line coming into my home.
Exceptional service and immediate delivery. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00am, and they were here at 10:30am. My service was completed all within an hour!
BONUS, before I gave him a chance to leave, I mentioned that my downstairs toilet was leaking. He gave me a quick quote to replace & install for $ 20 more… But I turn and showed him, that I had the replacement tube, already (I was going to install it myself and since he was already here) …and before I could even ask, without hesitation, he offered to replace at no extra charge, on the spot, right then and there. WOW!!!
Finally, I tried to offer a tip (something extra to go get lunch) for a job well done but he refused and said it was all a part of the service. Now, that itself deserves Unilocal, 5 stars!!!

We recently relocated to San Diego and had a real shock with our first water bill. After two weeks with just one person living in the house we registered Tier 4 on the city scale, and had a water bill of almost 300 dollars, about double what most people report for a two month billing cycle!
My wife had noticed hotspots on the floor of the kitchen and adjoining garage. Talking to family they told us we probably had a «slab leak» and it could cost big bucks to fix. But not fixing it was going to cost us big as well, so I started looking for a plumber.
The reviews on CSR were very good. I admit, I tried calling a couple of others first, but Ray answered my call right away and instead of having to wait two to three weeks, he was able to bring a crew within a couple of days. We setup the leak detection appointment and within a day I had to call and cancel. The moving van was going to arrive a day earlier than expected and I didn’t want to have everyone colliding. Ray was great, he actually moved the appointment UP and extended his work day to do the detection the night before the van arrived.
They came in, verified the leak, hot water as expected due to the hot spots and estimated at a rate of 8 oz every 5 minutes.
He bid a price that seemed very fair and we setup the appointment for this morning. He brought a crew of two additional with him, reassessed the situation and proposed a better solution. The cost was the same, but I was happier with the new proposed layout of the pipe rerun.
They were here almost four hours. The did seal the places the new piping comes into the house so we won’t have more unwanted guest entries. We will have to hire someone to fix the drywall in two rooms where the reruns impacted the walls, but I again agreed with Ray, paying $ 95 an hour for plumbers to do drywall didn’t make sense although he was quite willing to do the repairs if we really wanted him to do them. Again a reasonable suggestion and shows he wasn’t out to gouge us for the maximum dollar figure.
With a one year warranty on parts and labor, I’m very happy with the outcome.

Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly and took care of us during a stressful time. He repaired a leak in the wall that could have caused great damage to the property. He was calm and thorough. He located and stopped the leak immediately. He explained the problem and possible solutions clearly. I continue to use CSR Plumbing because I have trust with Mike and I definitely recommend CSR Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing in Encinitas (North County) or San Diego area. Since we have replaced a water heater and upgraded our faucets and shower fixtures. CSR plumbing is my first call for plumbing crisis or even for small jobs like leaky faucets and running toilets.

I live in San Francisco now but when I lived in SD CSR was my go to guys. They installed my water filter, hot water heater, shower, and countless other crap that has been stuck in my toilet (literally). Fast forward 5 years later and living in sf. I had Home Depot install a dishwasher for me and they royally screwed up. Not only was the door catching on the counter, but water was leaking out everywhere. I called home depot but after 20 mins on hold and several departments later I called CSR in San Diego (I still had them on my phone under plumber). Huyen from CSR walked me through the potential problems and after 15min on the phone, no more water leak! Best customer service in the world. When sh*t happens call CSR.

I am not a handy guy at all when it comes to fixing up things in the house, but I’m also not an idiot and know when I found great service.
After I purchased my condo, I discovered that my bathroom tub valves had issues. The valves were worn out and leaking with little water pressure coming out. I contacted several plumbers and many of them seemed not very interested with the job I was describing (since I was looking for a quote) and the few who did come out seemed to want to charge me an arm and a leg.
Luckily, I spoke with a friend of mine who referred me to one of the workers here. From the start, I was well received and all my phone calls were easily returned and my questions answered even before I committed to getting the work done. They replaced my bathroom valves within an hour. I was most pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone else.
Prices were affordable and upfront. Their communication was responsive, and personally they were just good people and it showed through their work.

These guys did a professional job for us, addressing 4 issues around the home including a busted pressure regulator, adding in a thermal expansion unit, and relocating an outdoor faucet.
From start to finish they were motivated, courteous and helpful. When I had what was truly a minor issue with some of the work, they dropped everything to come back out and correct the situation.

I can not fully express in words how great these guys are. We discovered a water leak (so we thought) spot in our ceiling and feared the worst. The initial call to make the appointment was very positive which is a great start. Very polite and was able to fit me in the next morning.
Mike called ahead and showed up right on time. Could not ask for a better plumber than Mike. Very nice, no muss — no fuss kind of guy. Within two minutes he diagnosed the problem and said he was pretty sure it wasn’t a plumbing problem to begin with. With our permission he made a small hole where the moisture spot was and it was exactly what he said it was! Just condensation from all the cooking that was rusting a nail that was not fully flushed with the beams! Talk about experience, that was impressive.
He did end up replacing our water regulator, a separate problem that we already knew we had to fix. He also solved a very annoying problem we had with our shower which would vibrate like crazy sometimes. With much experimenting, he isolated the problem as being the shower hose. We thought it was a much deeper issue, but another pleasant surprise!
Mike is a super plumber and just a great guy and I feel very fortunate that he showed up to our house today. He must have taken his shoe booty off and on 20 times going in and out of our house. He simply wanted to improve the quality of our lives and he did that. I will call CSR and Mike again for all our plumbing issues and so should you.
