History

Established in 2004.

Corporal is a military rank used in most military forces and by some police units or other uniformed organizations. A Corporal is a team leader, one who receives orders and executes them with precision, a sense of urgency and pride. The name came about many years ago when Christian Gutierrez founder of CBS was assigned as supervisor of a maintenance crew on a military base. A few weeks after and many «Yes Sir» later, The commanding officer at the base was impressed with Gutierrez’s ability to follow orders and complete them while surpassing expectations. The officer on one occasion called Gutierrez aside, looked him in the eye and said «You are a Corporal!». This caused quite an impression on Gutierrez because he knew how many maintenance crews had come and gone without being able to fulfill the Officers demands. Many years later Gutierrez would have the opportunity to start up a company and name it Corporal Building Services.
