The Mills Technique was founded by Mr. Jim Mills in 1964. Jim set out to create a better way of cleaning carpet. The issues he faced where wet carpet, recurring spots, and carpet seamed to get dirtier faster after cleaning. Jim developed an neutral ph balance solution that when worked into the carpet crystalizes around the dirt and is easily removed. He realized in order to get the best cleaning the carpet needed to be vacuumed thoroughly, in betted dirt removes better dry then wet. We utilize three different commercial vacuums to achieve the best vacuuming possible. The 6 step cleaning system was started. Over the years we have been regarded as the top commercial cleaning company and started residential cleaning in the 1980’s

I started working for Jim Mills in 1982 and became a crew leader after a short time. I left California in 1993 and moved to Northwest Arkansas. There i started the Mills Technique Carpet Cleaning System and built a successful business. I returned to Southern California at the request of Jim to the San Diego area in 2007 and own the Mills Technique here in San Diego.
