My BMW 335i was hit 2 times in a week. Took my car to Bumper Authority both times and they fixed my my car both times with same day service! Thanks a lot.

2 years ago I had an accident which resulted in damaged bumper and driver side door. I got three estimates. Bumper Authority’s was the lowest, so I went with them. The job was done on schedule, no problems. The more interesting side of this story is that Steven offered me different prices depending on if I wanted perfect match. I opted for the not-​perfect as my car was getting old and I couldn’t see spending so much money for that. Guess what, to this day nobody has noticed the difference! Oh sure, after it was done, I could tell, under a certain angle, if I really looked for it, I could tell. But the difference was very subtle. And now, after 2 years I can’t even tell anymore. It just goes to show you, sometimes it’s better to save your money.
And to this day the job has been holding up very well. Come to think about it I remember asking Steven if he could repaint my spoiler (the 2005 Prius spoiler paint didn’t hold up to the hard California sun, specially since my car stayed outside every day) and that paint job is still holding up as well, surprisingly better than the original.
PS: after getting my car, I told Steven I would write a review for him, but life got too busy and I forgot. But today, something happened which reminded me of this place, so I am fulfilling this old promise. Thank you so much Steven for a job well done!

Despite the relatively positive ratings on Unilocal I would dissuade anyone from taking their business here because of the amount of undue stress and time that these guys cost me over the 3 weeks that it took for them to get a new bumper and headlights onto my car. As a customer who had just been involved in an accident, you hope for the best from the caretakers of a damaged car and expect honesty from people who represent themselves as professionals. But after the multiple delays, imperfect workmanship, and misrepresentation of facts regarding the services that was rendered, I am truly surprised that this business is still intact.

Very professional and quality service, you will get the best price here for all your body work!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU WERE IN A CAR ACCIDENT!!! Not only do they not know anything mechanically, they suck at their paint jobs and putting cars back together.
One of these days a lawsuit will be coming their way.
My advice, if you took your car here go get the work checked. They committed insurance fraud by charging my insurance company for a Lexus bumper while putting on an after market bumper on my car — way less and I am assuming keeping the extra $$$. They ripped me off and defrauded my insurance company.
If you have issues I would say don’t deal with these scam artists, go directly to the BAR and file an appropriate lawsuit to get the car fixed correctly.

I had a very mixed experience here. The manager and the owner were both very nice and easy to deal with, however I feel that the job was rather sloppy.
I brought my car in to have scratches and a dent fixed. The scratches were fixed nicely, and the paint matched well. However the dent was not fully fixed as was negotiated.
The biggest problem I had was not the remaining dent though. It was how much of a mess they made of my car. There are paint spots left in several places inside my car including the gear shift, the steering wheel, and the door handle. I’m not sure those will ever come out. There was also paint dust all over the front seat area and what looks like paint splatter all over the wheel area where the scratches were being fixed.
Despite the friendly staff and ok workmanship, I would probably not return here.

Bumper authority did a perfect job on my new car’s bumper. My bumper looks same as it was new. Reasonably priced, super quick.

After a couple months of driving my car around, I’ve noticed the dullness of the color of my bumper… guess I was a little too excited in the beginning. It is true what they say, you get what you pay for.

Really really great place! Very reasonable price and very helpful! I don’t have much money to repair my bumper and lamp, all the other store quote me 1500+ and told me they must replace all the bumper and fender. Only bumper authority willing to repair it for me and only charged me $ 250. They are very helpful! They looked at my bumper carefully and give me a plan, the other store is just push me to spend money!

They did a great job on my car! Fixed all dents & scratches & took good care of me for a reasonable price.

Bumper Authority did great by me! Steven goes above and beyond to earn your business and really is a stand up dude! They run an honest and reasonable business here. I’ve already referred them to all my people and will continue to do so! Thanks again Steven!

This place suck ass and don’t trust all the review below. I read the all the review and they quote me a good price that why I when there. I had to come back a few time to get it right and get it repainted. There was about 2 customer that had to come back to get touch up on there paint job. They got a lot business since there quote usually $ 200 cheaper. Trust if you keep your car you will need to come back to get it retouch again and again.

Bumper Authority is great! They were reasonably priced and were super quick. The staff is very friendly and the quality of work is great! I will definitely use them again.
I went to Bumper Authority because its close to my office and I am so glad I did. The guy there was so nice and professional, he gave me an estimate on my bumper and said they could get started that same day! I picked my car up the next and it looked brand new and when it came down for the final bill it was ten dollars less than what they quoted me. I love their Honesty and professionalism, these guys are great! Thanks Bumper Authority.

So over the holidays we hit a deer with my poor Jeep. Luckily my boyfriend was able to slow down enough on the icy 395 up by Mammoth to where I only had minor cosmetic damage on my front bumper. Jeep/​America: 1 Deer: 0
Even though I only had a cracked bumper. I still didn’t want to drive around with it looking like that. So I decided to get some quotes at bumper places up and down Miramar Rd (if you don’t know the area… there’s an abundance of body shops on that road). I was actually dreading this task because I’m the typical clueless/​bubbly girl when it comes to car stuff and I heard body shops were notorious for taking advantage of unsuspecting females. Steven was very honest with me and assured me that my damage was indeed fixable. Steven gave me a quote that was quite a bit less than his competitors so of course I took it in the next day.
They were so sweet and dropped me off back and home when I went to go drop of my Jeep in the morning. When I went back after work to pick up my Jeep, I guess the color they had matched was too dark so they couldn’t finish the job that night. Steven was so apologetic and I’m glad they didn’t just paint my bumper and be done with it. He gave me a discount for having to bring it in again the next day. I wasn’t mad about it or anything… I get it… stuff happens and I rather they do it right. Steven handled the situation very well.
I brought it back the next morning and they were done by the time I got off work. To my surprise, he threw in a mini-​exterior detail for my car! I wasn’t expecting that at all. (Thanks guys! :))My jeep hasn’t looked this good since the day I drove it off the showroom floor.
I was very happy with my experience at Bumper Authority and would definitely recommend them for your car’s needs.

Man, where do I even start?
Steven, the owner of Bumper Authority is the most honest man I ever met. Called him up and got a killer deal to get my roof, trunk, and bumper painted. This man hooked me up with a killer price and threw in a free detail, buffer, and polish.
I am a student at UCSD and I don’t have that much money. (Especially with tuition rising…) I even considered taking my 2006 BMW 530I to Maaco. I am so glad I didn’t because the car looks spot on. Looks brand new and the color matched PERFECTLY.
If you have any car issues or autobody repair work, give this man a call. He’s the most honest mechanic out there.

I called ahead and spoke to the owner Steven about getting my bumper repaired. We agreed that I would come in for an estimate after I read the great Unilocal reviews on here. I was worried this would be an out-​of-​pocket expense that’s the cost to be very high. We agreed that I just wanted to get my bumper touched up and buffed out a little bit and the results were great! I was in and out of the bumper authority within an hour from start to finish it was truly a great experience. Customer service was great. It’s no surprise why the bumper authority is one of the number one places on Unilocal for fender benders. I hope I won’t have to be back but should anything arise on my car I will definitely be paying for authority another visit. Steven, it was fantastic!

I took my car in for an estimate to repair my car, filled out the paperwork and was told to bring it back in two days. I returned in a couple of days at 9:00 AM, the front desk verified they had my paperwork and I handed off my keys. Before leaving I explicitly ask «will you call when the work is done, will the work be done today and will you call letting me know if I need additional parts» with all answers being: yes.
Fast forward to 4:30 PM still no call. I call their office: no answer. I call a second time: no answer. I call a third and final time at 5:00 and still no answer so I leave a message assuming surely someone will call me back since they don’t close until 5:30. They did not call back.
The following day I had to leave early in the AM for an appointment so I borrow a friends car. She calls their office to check on the status for me and she summarized by saying «they were flippant and unapologetic for not calling.» At this point, I am fairly disappointed but a simple «we are sorry for your inconvenience» would have sufficed and all would have been forgiven. That unfortunately didn’t happen.
I go to pick up my car at 9:30 AM and there is no one at the front desk. I wait for ~10 minutes and still no one so I roam around the area and finally one of the mechanics comes by and helps. He calls the manager and has him walk through how to process my credit card on the phone which is fine except for the fact that he doesn’t know how to use the machine and doesn’t take my signature etc. It wasn’t an ideal experience.
The mechanic takes me to look at my car and the dust cover crumpled up sitting on top of car and the car is completely dusty (which is fine) and there are large white fingerprints all over the front of the car (which I guess is fine too). The mechanic responds «it looks like it is going to rain today so no worry» and proceeds to back my car out. He slams the horn many times (first time was unsettling but understandable to alert potential people in the area; however, the other two times were annoying).
I expected someone to at least talk me through the work since there was significant work done but that didn’t happen. I had some additional questions; however, there was no one working the desk to ask. The work itself looks good– I need to review it again once I get my car washed because it is difficult to tell at this point.
My general summary would be the work looks good but the customer service left a lot to be desired. My expectations were set fairly high, based on previous reviews, and I was disappointed that Bumper Authority didn’t execute on very basic customer service items.

I emailed Steven today. And got it fixed in 30 mins.
The fix was paintless dent removal. For 100 $, he fixed the dent for me.
I was working in Nissan so I know the detail of fix work.
Despite the little reminder I had to gave them for the tricky screw,
and the minor paint damage they did when they over heated the bumper, everything went pretty smooth.
Steven was a pretty chill guy.
I know I am not suppose to stand inside the shop and watch.
I know he got a little bit irritated. However, I have to stand there and watch what they are doing to my car.
Overall I would give a 5 stars for the reasonable price,
yes, yes, 100 $ is a lot for a simple heat gun job, but hey, at least I saved myself from risking burning my self from the heat gun, and, or to crack the paint.
And the price is cheaper than a oil change service at the retail shop. Cant beat that.

Just picked up my car after a fresh detail! 9 months after buying my new car and it was desperate for a clean and wax. It looks like I just grabbed it fresh from the dealership!
Coming back in 6 months for what will now be a biannual detail :)
