Established in 2007.

b balanced was created out of the strong desire to help people increase their quality of life by naturally restoring their health.

After observing my mom’s struggle to resolve her health challenges with Western medicine and caring for a husband with lung cancer, I went back to school and deepened my knowledge about whole food nutrition and holistic health. I knew that the key to well-​being was to be found there.

Now I thoroughly enjoy being part of my clients’ journeys and to experience their healing on a daily basis. I help people who have already suffered too much, who have had to face health challenges as my family members. With my work I honor them.

Business Owner

Birgit Witherspoon, MS, HHC, earned her Master’s degree in Domestic Science/​Health in Germany. She graduated with honors from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, and is certified as a Holistic Health Counselor and Nutritionist by Teachers College of Columbia University and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Birgit believes that good health is our birth right.

She specializes in Nutrition Response Testing (SM) and applied kinesiology for nutrition; non-​invasive ways of analyzing the body to determine underlying causes of non-​optimal health.

Trained in multiple dietary theories, Birgit develops a unique plan for each of her clients in accordance with their bio-​individuality, using whole food nutrition and supplements and up-​to-​date scientific techniques to help them achieve peak performance physically, mentally and emotionally.

She walks the talk! And the proof is in the results: she won a gold medal at the 2008 World Taekwondo Championships.

I’ve been seeing Birgit on and off for many years. She is very intuitive in her practice, and I have had much success in fixing both big and small health problems. I don’t feel like I need to be the perfect healthy eater, either. She has a great attitude of balancing your diet with your own life and tastes! If you want to take your health to the next level, and are tired of trying things that don’t work, give her a call.

I was diagnosed with Grave’s disease and was scheduled to have my thyroid irradiated when Birgit offered an alternative solution. With her help over the last 2 years, i totally changed my diet and significantly reduced the amount of medication required to keep my hyperthyroid under control. I highly recommend Birgit Witherspoon & b balanced. I had been diagnosed with gout and basically was told by my medical doctor to quit eating red meats, any type of beans and not eat to many fried foods. OK made sense to me. And I was prescribed some medication to clear up the uric acid in my system. I took the medication for months and didn’t observe any changes and the gout pain remained in my big toes. I couldn’t wear dress shoes for more than an hour without experiencing intense pain. A friend of mine recommended Birgit to me to help with my gout. I went to see Birgit. I told her my issue with gout. First thing she said to me was” Do you want to get rid of your gout and eat anything you want”? Of course I said yes. After a few visits and taking the natural supplements she prescribed. I’m very happy to report I’m gout free, no more pain and can eat whatever I desire. I saw Birgit for help with some «belly issues». I am a new vegetarian and wanted to make sure I was getting everything I needed. Boy, was I wrong! Well, she did some cool muscle testing (?) and identified what I was missing and suggested a couple of supplements. I have been taking them and feel much better! Definitely recommend Birgit!
