Aquatech Raingutters

I thought all had gone well with installation of my gutters but the biggest problem I had told Aquatech that needed to be fixed was a spot where the old gutters were not catching water off the roof but leaking in a stream between the roof and the gutter and making an ugly scar on the two-​story wall. I was assured that the spot would be sealed to prevent any leakage, but we noticed after this last rain that water was still coming down that spot and the wall continues to corrode.
I’m sure it’s a problem that can be fixed but I’ve tried for four days now and no one answers the phone at the company nor will anyone return my messages. I hope they will come out and fix the spot they promised to fix – which I assume they will do if I can ever get through to them. I know they must be extremely busy now, but that’s no excuse for failing to follow up on work that should have been done correctly the first time.

They did a really good job. Now I’m ready for El Nino!

At first, I thought they had done a great job. Then it rained. They had installed one of our rain gutters on the patio in a way that the corrugated roof could not drain into the gutter. The corrugated roof is held on by a metal edge piece. When they installed the gutters, they bolted the gutters to this piece and tightened it up against the wood below in a way that blocked the flow of water. The end result was that when it rained, the water did not run into the gutter but poured down behind the gutter.
After a week of arguing about who installed the metal piece and that the gutters were, in fact, installed incorrectly, I finally got a call from Jordan who agreed that the installation was faulty and scheduled to come fix the fallowing week. Everything seems to be working fine now.
So, I have mixed feelings about this company. Jordan was great. He came out, explained things to me and bid the job at a reasonable price. And in the end, he took care of the problem. The arguing with several people at Aquatech about who’s fault it was and sending multiple pictures to prove the faulty installation. Not good. In the end, we have rain gutters that work and match our house nicely. Oh, and I’m rewriting this review at their request to «correct false information». I also find that strange.

after a horrible esperience w/​the aquatech mob, i called a few other companies for quotes
they all came in at the same price as the hated aquatech mob so i felt the most comfortable w/​west coast and told greg to book me for the gig
i was told scheduling was three weeks out due to heavy el nino business and the job was done in three weeks w/​no problems — they showed up early
the crew was very good and
no drama
just professionals doing a good job whilst enjoying their work w/​customer service in mind
west coast is nothing like the inept aquatech mob and i recommend west coast highly
i have one leaky joint and if they fix it, I’ll bump em up to 5stars

The Unilocal reviews of this company speak for itself. I am writing this review 3 years after rain gutters are installed by Aquatech. The hardware is still in solid shape. We never had to worry about it – after the day it’s installed.
The guys spent quite some time, did the due diligence and left.

So ecstatic with Aquatech! Everything went so well from my first call to them. They were very professional, courteous, and accommodating. Jordan took his Time With us during our estimate appointment. They scheduled me for the next available installation appointment and called to confirm the day before. We were happy that the installers notified is when they arrived and asked to walk the project with us when they were finished. All in all we would highly recommend them to our neighbors, friends, and family!

They came out and installed a bunch of new gutters but one gutter they installed was not done properly and when called out again, they said they would provide an estimate and never did — I would look elsewhere.
The gutter in question ran through a patio roof. They installed a new bottom part but did not bother to look up the old part that ran through the patio roof — if they had (see photo) they would have seen holes in the old gutter that was leaking water into my patio roof. They came out and said they would need to charge a minimum fee but then never called back. I ended up going to Home Depot and repairing it myself. Not cool.

Aquatech Raingutters did a great job. They are very professional and the crew as well as office staff are top notch. The estimator really knows systems and designed a big improvement to our previous rain gutter installation that was ineffective. We had a complication with some water damage on a patio and they figured out a way to make things work. On the day of the install, a very skillful crew came out and professionally got to work. They communicated with us throughout the work. Highly recommend this company.

I called Aquatech Raingutters to get a quote on a new gutter install. They arrived on time and were extremely professional and nice. The gentleman who gave me the quote was extremely informative and explained all of my options and made sure to go over all the details and point out reasoning behind his suggestions. Their quote was extremely competitive. I quickly booked my new gutter install.
On the day of the install the team was running late because their other jobs were taking longer than expected. They made sure to keep me informed of the delay. Shortly after the team arrived to start the install, the company sent out a second team to help expedite the install process. I don’t know of many companies that would spend the extra money to help expedite an install just because the other team had finished their work early. Aquatech Raingutters has great customer service from friendly team members, to communicating, to going the extra mile to perform a great job.
Rain has finally come to San Diego and the gutters are working perfectly! I wish Unilocal had a 5+ rating that could be used once a year — Aquatech Raingutters would get my 5+ star for 2015 and it is only Feb.

I scheduled an estimate and Jordan came out right on time. He was pleasant, professional, personable and thorough. We talked about the color samples for the gutters and downspouts. He made some good recommendations. He gave the estimate and mentioned that when I was ready, I could call them to schedule an appointment.
Fast forward about a week later, I call in to Aquatech gutters and talked to Lindsey who schedules the work at my convenience. The work was scheduled to start around 8:30am, Igot a call from Robin telling me they had to wrap up work from a prior job and would be arriving around 9:30am instead. Ryan and Gelan came out to do the install.
They were both professional and purposeful and getting the gutters and down spouts installed. It took them about 2 ½ hours to install everything. They cleaned up on the outside of the house. Galen cleaned off the downspout where his handprint and other materials gotten on them.
As the worked in the yard and they were very mindful to keep the gate closed so my dog did not get out.
I paid by calling in with my credit card to their admin offices and spoke to Robin. She was pleasant and prefessional. I would recommend Aquatech gutters to anyone in need of gutters for the home or business. They offer quality workmanship at a reasonable price done in a timely manner by pleasant employees!

Andrew came to give us and estimate, he was running late but called to let me know (which is totally understandable driving around town). He gave us a great price and the crew showed up right when he said the would. They did a great job and the colors look great! We would use them again.

These guys are awesome! I emailed inquiring about an estimate and they got back to me the next day. They were able to set up a day to come and give the estimate. Our estimator, Jordan, was very nice, friendly, and professional. I think he had some traffic on the way, but was kind to call and give a heads up. When he came, he explained everything thoroughly with options and what not. The estimate was very affordable and a great deal! I have consulted a few other businesses and Aquatech was by far the cheapest! Also very professional and great at communicating with their customers! The installation was quick and the installers were very nice, friendly, and professional as well. Totally recommend them, thanks Aquatech!!!

We had gutters added to three sides of a two-​story house. Aquatech recommended wide gutters and extra siding because of clay tiles and a steep roof. This increased the price somewhat over other companies but then again those other companies were offering smaller gutters.
The gutters in a fake copper color ended up looking wonderful. The regular downspouts do match the stucco color but tend to look cheap.
What I find disappointing is that apparently no testing was done. We discovered two leaks where the gutters are crimped. After sending an email Aquatech came out quickly to correct that — unfortunately they did not wait for confirmation and arrived when we were out of town. I sent a follow-​up email which did not yield a reply.
Another email and this time they did respond. During that appointment they tried to fix the leaks. One of them is fixed now, the other one is still leaking.

Aquatech, why do you continue to fib? Your were well advised that I would Not be home, but a college student would be in charge. Why did James lie about having access to the property denied? Why when I spoke with James he proposed installing raingutters without EVER inspecting, and not noticing I ALREADY had them???
He did not evaluate the problem I was having. Having Aquatech Raingutters out to my home was a very unpleasant experience and a complete waste of time!

Installation of rain gutters and downspouts
* Single Story house
* $ 1400
* 145 linear feet.
* 11 Gutter sections
* 7 Downspouts — hand cut and angled (not using the flex type but the box type).
I had contacted AquaTech about 6 months ago but had to postpone work due to other house repair needs.
* They came out, explained the work. Shared samples, we picked colors, and all the planning was done.
* Estimate came in over email — Convenient for me.
Recontacted AquaTech via email on Monday:
* They got back to me on Wed.
* Re-​confirmed negotiated price
* AquaTech was able to come out on Friday of the same week.
Installation:
* They asked to meet with me in person at beginning to re-​confirm downspout locations — Good thing to do.
* Had the option to leave but decided to stick around — I’m that type of customer.
* Stated they would arrive at 8:15AM — did not arrive until 9AM.
* Spent about 10minutes confirming downspouts and that was pretty much it — work began.
* At around 11AM I noticed it became very quiet:
– Went outside to check and they had left (they mentioned they would leave around lunchtime).
– All the gutters were up on the house (no downspouts).
* I heard noise again at around 1PM
* By 3 or 3:30 I heard a leaf-​blower going.
* A few moments later a knock at the front door.
– They mentioned the work was done and invited me to take a look and review their work.
– All look good, I signed the paperwork and they were off.
* I called in to may payment with CCd
Professionalism /​Friendliness:
* Everyone on the team (3 in the morn, 2 in the afternoon) was friendly and nice. I had no issue /​feelings of awkwardness with them around.
Cleanliness — Grounds:
* They did run the leaf blower to blow off the dirt in my courtyard.
* After the work, I did find bits and pieces of gutter, nails and screws on the ground. Nothing excessive.
* One area was left with a lot of dirt that had fallen from the old gutter.
* I had to go back and do some minor cleaning up.
Cleanliness — Gutters:
* These were left looking brand-​spanking new.
* I noticed they used a cloth to go back over the gutters and downspouts and clean off hand-​dirt.
* Overall install looks good and professionally done.
Thoughts /​Surprises /​Notes:
* They came and went without saying a word to me. Some may not like this approach as some may like to be kept up to date about every step in of the work. In my case, I was OK with it. They were just installing gutters, and when I peaked outside and saw the progress, I knew they were on-​track to finish as promised.
Gutter:
* My first home and never had to deal with gutters. The *Original* gutters on the home (there were two types installed when I purchased the house) were a complete seamless box — along the length and at the ends. My neighbors have this on their home too.
– These gutters are seamless along the length, but at the ends, a type of «cap» seems to be installed that is crimped on. So, these gutters do not have a true seamless box look at the ends.
– I chuck this up to my inexperience and not asking specifically about this — never occurred to me.
– Part of it could also be the price.
Downspouts:
* The *original* downspouts were also the box type that were hand-​cut. These original downspouts were *very* clean and smooth.
– The new downspouts are also the box-​smooth shape. However, where they cut the downspout to make the joints, they used screws to hole them together and attach the gutters to the wall.
– So instead of a true smooth install from top-​to-​bottom, screws can be seen.
– Again, I chuck this up to inexperience and not asking and maybe price — if I had paid double, maybe that original look would have been an option — one I would not have taken at that price.
Color:
* I live in a PUD with a strict HOA.
* Color was matched as I requested.
* No gripes here.
Unexpected Extras (A Bonus!):
* So there were some concerns that I may need «riser metal» on the gutters.
– A piece of metal that rises above the gutter to protect the water from overshooting the gutter.
* Without asking and without charge, the guys installed riser metal in key places where they felt water could potentially overshoot the gutter. The riser metal was installed nicely, It does not look like some extra piece of junk metal that they put up, but as if it was part of the overall plan — Props to AquaTech!
Price:
* I did call around and get a few quotes. They were not the cheapest around, even with discounts.
* I received the Angie’s List discount.
* They gave me a little additional off when I asked.
Why I chose AquaTech:
* The guy who came out to give me the quote was very personable, patient and explained everything very well.
* The reviews online were mostly positive.
* verall impression that AquaTech would be professional, do quality work and be efficient in their install.
Final Recommendation:
* At the very least give them a call and have them come out.

Rain gutter installation San Diego. Very nice family owned business. Did great work and were priced right. If you are looking for rain gutter installation in San Diego check these guys out. Glad i did business with them.

Our rain gutters were installed by Aquatech Raingutters in September but I have been holding off to get some good rain before leaving a review to make sure the gutters were doing a good job! I couldn’t be happier with how they worked during the recent rainy weather. I already know that the gutters look great and are exactly as I expected in color and design. We worked with Andrew and he was extremely knowledgeable and answered any and all of our questions very patiently. We also spoke to 2 other companies but preferred Aquatech and are now very pleased that we went with them. I would recommend them to a friend and I have already! The 2 men installing the gutters did a great job and were very professional.

Had some gutters installed by these folks last month and they did a good job at a reasonable cost. They were professional, courteous, and efficient. I’m docking them one star because of their «no show» on our first appointment. When I called again, I was informed that due to an unexplained mistake my appointment didn’t get on their calendar. They immediately went into action to make it right,… I’d use them again.

Had Aquatech do my gutters and was fairly happy with the work and the price seemed reasonable. However when I wanted them to move a downspout 1) I had a hard time getting response from them and 2) when they did move it, it was pretty costly considering they just patched the hole and moved the existing downspout. For what I was quoted I assumed they’d replace the short piece of guttering. But they didn’t and now my seemless gutters aren’t so seemless.

My wife & I purchased a home last spring and during the unusually heavy rains it became obvious we needed new rain gutters. We searched around a little and choose Aquatech Raingutters. The professionals at Aguatech know there stuff. After a brief consult with owner Andrew Merrick, who was courteous, friendly and took the time to inspect our gutters and explain various options for repair we knew we were in good hands. Andrews team of installers were polite and focused replacing our gutters quickly & neatly with minimal clean up.
