Absolute Plumbing

We’ve called on Absolute Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs. Last week was no different when our water heater was leaking in the garage. Jose was able to come the same day to assess and provided us with quotes for a replacement. At no point did he try to up-​sale us and actually we were the one asking for quotes for tankless water heater. He was able to provide us with a very reasonable price and we opted for the tankless. He was able to install the following day (and was even able to install it outside of our house) and though he did not finish wrapping everything up, he made sure to leave us with hot water before heading to another job.
I commend him for running a one-​man business, from answering the calls, to providing estimates and evaluations, and also for performing the job. We found him very genuine and would definitely call on his services for our plumbing needs.

Jose is as professional as it gets! He is always available and incredibly helpful. We’ve been using Absolute plumbing and Jose for years both in our home and our business and we trust him completely. I highly recommend!

Thank goodness for Absolute Plumbing. I came home from work on a Friday, just before 5pm, to find out that our kitchen sink drain was backing up. I called Absolute Plumbing and they told me that they could have someone at my home in less than 2 hours. After asking the price, I continued to call a couple other plumbers to cross check. Short story: Absolute Plumbing beat every other price.
An hour later they showed up and got to work. They drained my sink, snaked my drain and cleaned under my kitchen sink, as well. To my surprise, he finished the entire job in less than 30 minutes. I saved some money and got my sink back days earlier than anyone else would have. Thank you Absolute Plumbing! You’ll be the first call I make for any future plumbing needs.

Called to as a question. Was told they don’t work with General Contractors. Then hung up on me. Will not use for anything business or personal.

This guy is a Jerk and an Grade A asshole… he is homophobic!!! do not support his business… someone needs to clean his drain pipe for him… and if you by chance are on the rode with him driving look out because he CAN NOT DRIVE either.

These guys are lazy and scammers. I paid them to clear a 4 inch drain pipe and 3 days later is it backed up again. They came out to clear again and 2 days later it is backed up. $ 350 and they say they cleared it but there are roots. If I pay you to clear a pipe, clear the roots if you have to. They now want more money. Clearing a pipe means clearing a pipe so it doesn’t block again in a week. He even hung up on me when I called to clarify that clearing a pipe means clearing it.

Jose has done many jobs at our house. I, of course, was not there to deal with him, but my wife was. She was full of praise for his honesty, integrity, punctuality and expertise. Moreover, his prices were more than fair.
I would recommend Jose Lujano of Absolute Plumbing absolutely.

Our hot water tank started leaking so I looked around to replace it with a tank-​less system. I called Absolute and they came in with a very reasonable price. The guy who came was very polite and helpful. We settled on the type of heater, and when it arrived, he contacted us and we made an appointment for the weekend. He came out and installed the system on an outside wall (avoids needing a long flute). Once he got it working, he said he just needed some more parts to tidy up the work.
We didn’t hear back from him for a month. Finally he came back in a big rush and kind of lipsticked it and ran back out the door. I tried to slow him down so he would address some cosmetic issues and the dangling power cord but he just wanted to get out of there.
Mechanically the system works fine but his workmanship was pretty rough. He popped a hole through the wall for the power but didn’t seal it so I had to hound him for something that basic. I also had to ask that he tuck the gas line to make it look a little cleaner. I bought some cable track to cover the interior where he left the power cable essentially dangling.
Good price but you do get what you pay for.

Worst possible company customer service I ever dealt with and this is just from calling for an estimate. Total scam artist. Wouldn’t install a water heater unless we bought it thought them and nope, of course their price wasn’t competitive to any online retailer like Home Depot etc. Avoid like the plague

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I wish I could give 0 stars because this company SUCKS! They are ruder than ANYONE I have ever encountered in customer service! I called to ask some questions and was told that he was too busy to answer questions to call back at a letter time. When I said he didn’t have to be rude, he said I didn’t have to call back then! WOW! REALLY?! Please people… There are tons of other plumbing companies… Do NOT use this one!

This was a hard decision for me to make, but eventually their lack of service is what won them a single star. Yes, I’m not giving it to them — they’ve earned it.
I’ve used Absolute Plumbing over ½ dozen times in the last four years and in the beginning they gave me fast, great service at a fair price. Recently though, their service has literally gone down the drain.
They cancelled on me last week because of a problem on their current job. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and proceeded to reschedule for the following Monday at 9am. I rearranged a new time with our renters, arrived as scheduled and waited and waited and waited. I called them at 9am when I first got to the condo to confirm that they were coming and sure enough Jose acted as if he had no idea who I was. It was EXTREMELY frustrating. They take no notes, remember nothing and never call you to check in and confirm appointments.
I proceeded to repeat my situation to them for the 20^th time and then a light bulb turns on… «Oh yeah, you need the kitchen to be jet-​flushed. I need a smaller tip for that pipe so we will be there in a few minutes.»
Here’s my question Jose — if you had any semblance of pride of ownership and service with your company how in the hell did you not check your appointment records the night before and PLAN AHEAD. I got off the phone with you at 9:05am you told me you’d be a few minutes late. So… I waited. And waited. And waited.
I’m 7 months pregnant and have to lug around my two year old with me in order to take care of issues like this. When you fail to plan and prepare you really SCREW UP MY DAY and inconvenience not only myself, but our renters. It’s disrespectful, rude and shows me that you have zero desire to manage your company with excellence.
When I finally called you back at 9:55am, basically an hour after our scheduled appointment I chewed you out. Yep, mama bear came out and I gave you a calm, quiet and honest piece of my mind and you decided that instead of FIXING my situation that hanging up on me would be the best option. Well, guess what… I’m going to shout your company name from every rooftop in San Diego and make sure no one uses your business.
We’ve given you repeat business, our name should be in your system, our problems flagged etc. But no, instead we get cancellations, late arrivals and hang-​ups. I really liked you guys and appreciated all the workers I’ve dealt with in the past, but this is just too much.
Two words: Fix. It.

I’ve scheduled twice with Jose and he never showed up both times. Unreliable and unprofessional!

I purchased a $ 500 faucet online and contacted Absolute Plumbing to come and install it. I was bluntly told that «they don’t install material they haven’t provided». I’ll admit, that’s an expensive faucet, and I did a lot of research to make sure I was getting the best price and warranty. It came from
(trusted source), it was new and sealed — not something that I bought from Ebay. They didn’t even ask, they just turned me down right away and a fairly rude manner.
Understood… but you’ve just lost a customer that has been using your services at least 3 times a year. You can say no, but there are better ways to turn down a customer who has been loyal for 3 years.
I called Courtesy Plumbing instead (scared of hearing the same snippy response), and I am really happy to have found those guys. They came the next day, were very professional and the installer was as nice as one can get.

I just called this company to ask about getting an estimate. They were secretive about just HOW they might find a slab leak and what they would do about it if they found one. Basically, it’s $ 200 to do a slab leak search — assuming the old lady who owns the house is correct and it IS a slab leak.
I was so unimpressed, I’d just as soon call someone else. Anyone else. The county is full of rude young men who think they can run over older people. And some of them will come check out the wet carpet for a reasonable price.

Something stuck in our toilet. We called and made an appointment. The appointment time was 8 to 9. The estimate given was 125 $.
The guy never showed up until 9:30. Finally he showed and gave the estimate as 165 $. When I asked for 10% discount, he did not accept at first but finally agreed. He was finally able to take the object out of toilet but he would never allow me to see what he was doing. I wanted to learn it so that I could save the money next time by doing it myself. Anyways, the problem is, all the stains he left in the toilet bowl with the plumbing snake. The toilet looks horrible now. I wish he did a clean job or at least cleaned the toilet bowl after work. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

After the complete ineptitude of another plumbing company (check my last review) I found Absolute with high ratings and lots of them. They said they would be able to come within the hour but about 15 minutes later called and said they would have to come a little later but would definitely come. The man (Sean) called when he was on his way and was here a short time later.
We showed him the problem and told him the story of the idiots who made the situation worse. Within 20 minutes he cleared the drain and did what the other company couldn’t figure out between two guys. Sean was very nice and respectful and the great Unilocal deal they had saved us money. I would definitely go to these guys again and highly recommend them.

I called for an urgent leak location service requested by the underwriters on a home we’re buying. Jose was able to squeeze us in first thing the morning after I called. We were scheduled for 1 hour. He quoted a flat rate that was fair. Not cheap, but fair. Jose was 1 hour late due to a previous job running over, but he called to let me know.
My house presented some unexpected problems. First, my house is above average in size: 5700 SF, 2 storeys, 7 bathrooms, and difficult access to the yard. It took almost 30 minutes just to check all the fixtures and valves inside and out to make sure they were shut off prior to turning the water on. When he turned the water on, there was an irrigation pipe leak that had to be located and plugged before the house could be tested, and he had to call 2 other trucks to get the equipment he needed to do that plug up a 1″ PVC pipe. Luckily, once that was done, the house turned out to be fine, without leaks.
But over 2 hours of work later, he came back with an invoice for the original price he quoted minus the 10% Unilocal discount. I told him that wasn’t right, and I gave him a little extra for the inconvenience and for putting 3 trucks off schedule for the day. Will definitely be using them again! Thanks, Jose!

Who hasn’t hired a plumber and fretted ‘I BET he’s gonna rip me off… SOMEHOW’…
Well, I have to say, Jose is a pretty honest, decent guy! We have a few rental properties and called him based on Unilocal reviews. The dude’s awesome. A tenant was freaking out about a plumbing issue and Jose went over there the next day (he didn’t charge me for evaluation and estimate!!) and 1) calmed her down, 2) talked to ME about the issue and not the tenant, 3) fixed the issue a week later and 4) the invoice was super reasonable.
He works w/​property managers so I think this company might just be my new go-​to Plumbing company (and trust me, I’ve used ALOT of plumbers over the years).
Plan on hiring Jose to fix a broken shower issue at my own residence (that a handyman botched) sometime soon —

We had a shower that was backing up into our tub after a couple of minutes. Before calling Absolute Plumbing to snake my drain, I first tried Liquid-​Plumr Gel and waited the 15 minutes it said on the bottle before flushing it with hot water. Unfortunately it started to back up into the tub after a couple of minutes of running water. After sopping up with towels the water that had backed up, I called Absolute Plumbing yesterday.
When Raul came out today, before attempting to snake it, he first tested the drain by running water through it for 5 – 10 minutes. Miraculously, nothing backed up… apparently, the gel had a much greater delayed reaction than the 15 minutes it had said on the bottle, and the clog cleared overnight.
I asked Raul what I owed him for his time. Raul, who is super friendly, said he wouldn’t charge me a dime. I can’t remember the last time someone made a house call and didn’t charge anything. Given how friendly he was, that he didn’t charge me, and how reasonable their Unilocal pricing of $ 60 was going to be to begin with I wanted to give a five star shout out to them.
