Disrespectful employee threw cigarettes down in front of this business. He was just getting out of this shit hole Grey van marked with the name of his business on the side of it and tossed a lit cigarette onto the sidewalk. I live in the immediate area and was pissed off seeing this occur. Be responsible and pick your trash up. Butthole.

I wanted to update as its been 2 years since Abbas reupholstered my sectional. It looks as wonderful as it did the first day we got it back. The fabric is durable and aesthetically appealing. I continue to be so happy with the work they did. I have given so many referrals to Abbas and will continue to do so.

This was my first recovering experience and I was unsure about the process. However Basson came to my home, brought samples (within my budget), recovered my couch in one week and somehow we kept to my budget. My couch is so beautiful, I highly recommend Abbas. These guys are the best, they really listen to the customer and do outstanding work. I’ll use them again without question.

These guys came highly recommended and they jumped right on the repair while I waited. But they simply didn’t do the job right. A wooden leg on my antique dining room chair was splitting, and instead of using screws and/​or a dowel to shore it up, they used wood glue and a bunch of staples. The leg lasted about a month before splitting again. Now I need to find someone who will fix it properly.

We found 2 chairs at a Consignment Store, I called Abbas Upholstery & Design to ask about the chairs, as far as the quality, etc. Basam was so helpful, I sent pictures on my phone for him to view.
Basam not only advised me, but also picked up the chairs and took them to his shop. I went to the shop, picked out my color and in 2.5 weeks the chairs were beautifully re-​upholstered. Basam, put in new cushions, cleaned up & polished the legs and wood handles, etc.
We love our chairs! When we have other furniture to re-upholster…guess who we are going to call.. .thats right «Abbas upholstery & Design»

I brought a near 100 year old family chair there and they recovered it and cleaned up all the old wood finish and I was very pleased. Had no issues and got great service. Chair looks awesome. Will be back again…

Just picked up my sectional cushions and what a great job they are just link new what a great job done same day. The price was more than quoted but you know what they say… you get what you pay for. It feels like the day if was delivered. Two thumbs up. Thanks!!!

We recently had him reupholster our mid century sectional. It turned out awesome. He was communicative and easy to reach throughout the process. His prices were fair and the work was done quickly and professionally. Will happily return to him with more furniture and recommend him to all my friends.

I received such excellent service and work done from Abbas Upholstery. The work I had done was so superb and beautiful. this business has been around for many many years, and I appreciate the technique and detail that went into my furniture. This place can literally make anything or redo anything! I highly recommend this place.

I have had Abbas Upholstery do serveral projects for me and I have been pleased the result. The fabric selection is great and the quality of there service is very good. I have happily recommended Abbas upholstery to my friends.

Horrible, I would never recommend this place. I took a chair and ottoman in and left it for one day while I shopped for fabric to bring back. Later I realized that Abba’s labor quote was way too high. Next morning I called to say I was coming to pick my furniture up, and the owner said they had already spent 3 hours taking it apart (which I hadn’t authorized, nor was any contract signed). He offered to knock $ 100 off the price, really wanted me to let them finish since they’d invested so much time. I considered this, but when I went to drop off the fabric, found that maybe 30 minutes had been spent. I was really mad that he could knock off a quarter of the price & still make a profit, which tells me his first price was a rip-​off, so I ended up bringing what I thought was the whole chair home to reupholster myself. I have found that several small hardware items and a couple pieces of fabric (which I needed to use as a pattern) were not returned to me. I have to say that Abba’s employee was nice and even came out to the car to give me a couple of bolts removed from the chair, but his kindness was the only redeeming feature of this business.

I am so disappointed! Abbas Upholstery has done such great work for me before, but something has drastically changed. I have worked with Abbas on two other upholstery projects, and recommended them to a new client. She lives elsewhere during the winter, so we had six months to take care of her reupholstery. After Abbas picked up the sofa, I would have to leave several message before I would get a return call about the project. Every time I did get to speak to Mr. Abbas, he said the fabric was still on backorder, and when I suggested that we choose another, Mr. Abbas said he would call me back. I would never receive a call back and would have to go through the same process of several phone calls until he would call me back. It is six months later, he will not return the calls, or offer to even just return the sofa to the homeowner.
I can not recommend Abbas Upholstery for any project due to their lack of communication and willingness to work with their clients.

Abbas has done work for our family twice now… once to repair a broken frame on our leather sofa (don’t ask how we broke it :) and once a few years later to reupholster the same sofa. Both times we were extremely pleased with the quality of the work, the speed with which it was done, and Bassam’s professionalism. We will continue to use him for future furniture repair needs!

I had a similarly negative experience here that I am still mad about. I had an antique loveseat redone here that came back to me with a giant stain on it! He denied its existence but said he would fix it for me. He never returned my call and the loveseat didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to anyway. So bummed. It needs to be redone again.

The main reason why I’m giving this place two instead of one star is because the staff was somewhat nice to me. I brought a huge two-​piece retro couch to them in May 2006. It needed to be re-​stuffed and re-​upholstered. They did it poorly. The backs of the two pieces came back to me with different heights, a panel had to be reattached and some stitching came undone with in the first week of having it back. I have been playing phone tag with the owner, Baasam for eight months now to repair the stitching. My advice to you, go somewhere else for your upholstering needs.
