The worst store and the worst service! They have ridiculous coupon policy. I hope they will change the manager!

Word to the wise: do your research. Be sure you are well aware of ALL deals and promotions, otherwise you’re going to be majorly ripped off. Two framing jobs. I guess they were both 2×2. Estimate was pushing $ 700. $ 700!!! Fortunately members of my party came prepared and presented a 50% off coupon. The fact that a major chain readily has 50% off coupons available on their website speaks volumes to their pricing structure. This basically acknowledges that they’re ripping people off who don’t know any better. After presenting another hidden promotion at payment the final price was about $ 300 for the pair. Much more in line to what it should be. But the fact that they tried to get us to pay nearly $ 700 for these two things is absurd. Support a local framing shop instead. I can recommend a good place in PB if you’re willing to drive. Had original Star Wars posters framed and mounted for about $ 100 a piece. Don’t fall for it. Go elsewhere.

What a complete waste of time and rip-off. I wanted to get a 25×25 print framed; no mat, no glass. Their«cheapie» frames were in the $ 180 price range, and their so-called premium frames were almost $ 350 — and that was with a 50% off, then 20% off coupon! Meaning the full-retail price for this frame was over $ 800; again, with NO frame, NO matting!!! What, is that made out of gold to be $ 80 a lineal foot? This, after waiting almost 30 minutes for help, sizing, etc.; the gal was helpful, but if I had any idea that a frickin frame was going to cost more than cabinetry, I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Ridiculous.

It’s great knowing that Aaron Brother’s employees are knowledgeable about the products they sell. The Escondido location is always pleasant to go into. The store is always clean, the shelves are organized, stocked and, presentable, and the employees always greet you and are very friendly. I frequent ABs for art supplies more than framing, and they always have what I need.

FIRSTIMPRESSIONS: Consistently helpful + friendly staff. Rarely out of stock. Tons of framing + matting options. Custom shop is competitive. Cheaper custom shops out there, but quality here is very good. THEDEALS: This is my neighborhood framing shop. The products are higher quality than some of the other shops we all know. That said, there are multiple levels of quality here too; some are«inexpensive» others can seem prohibitively so. One neat thing about Aaron Brothers is that every 6 months they hold their 1-cent sale. This is THE best time to get a bunch of frames. It’s especially helpful when you want a multitude of frames for gifts, shows, or just because. THEVERDICT: Aaron Brothers is a name I consistently go to when I need frames for my photographs. Sure there are better custom frame shops out there, but where else can you find familiar frames at the last minute in a different town? I have yet to find many other places this consistent.

Prices are ok. Service is slow and they are always understaffed. They have a ridiculous coupon policy. I have to ring each item separately in order to use the coupons. Their systems are old and they are definitely in need of a technology investment.

Honestly, I’ve patronized a number of different Aaron Brothers locations and I’ve had the same experience at all of them. It’s really a great company. This one is closest to my house and I’ve had several great experiences there recently with an employee named Dian(in the framing department), so I figured it was the best location for which to post a review. Some things I love: — They have frames in pretty much every style, size, and color you can imagine. — They’ll cut you a custom mat at a reasonable price. — They’ll assemble your art(custom or prefab mat and standard frame) at a reasonable price, including a nice papered back and wires hung for portrait and/or landscape orientation. — Everyone is always friendly. The employees always seem like they truly like their jobs. — The people who do the framing will give you their educated opinions and REALLY seem to care that the final product comes out as you hope. I could go to IKEA and buy frames for a little cheaper and just assemble things myself, but I love Aaron Brothers. It’s my go-to for art and photo framing.
