Speedy Smog And Service

Man was so nice and was able to get two cars that I brought in smogged in a very reasonable time. Prices were fair and cheaper than I was expecting! He also physically showed me one of the tests that it failed and offered a quick fix! I would highly recommend!

Surprised I didn’t find this hidden gem years ago. Glad I did. This will be my primary service shop. Very satisfied with the service.

I got my smog inspection done here. There was no weight and it took 10 minutes. All in all a fine experience.

Excellent experience. I filled out the form for DMV smog check and was waiting for them to start, but they were already done! They had even taken info from the vin tag and done the DMV paperwork. Fast, efficient and nice folks too.

These guys are great. I called on a Saturday afternoon to get a 2001 Honda S2000 smog checked for registration. Julio had me in and out in no time. Great guys and a clean shop. I’ll be back for all my future smog checks. Highly recommended!

Arrived there promptly on a Saturday at 9am. Got my car quickly verified and left 15 minutes after. good service and quick turnaround

My favorite place for smog check for all my cars. Cheap and fast and you can go across the street to Jack-​In-​The-​Box for a little snack as you are waiting too.

Excellent service. I called and they don’t take reservations, but told me it would be 20 min. I drove up and it took exactly 20 minutes. It is a gas station so if you want to sit, bring a chair.

Website says they are a STAR Smog check station. I called to make an apt… they dont take Apt. I drove there and they said they are not a STAR smog check station…
is where it said they were. Then I went to another so called star smog check station in belmont… Same deal… not a star station… Finally fount the 76 station on Ralston which matched a price of another star station and took an apt.
Tom was nice enough but just not a good communicator.

They did great job, great price, just make sure to bring cash and show them the coupon on website before the test. No need to make appointments, 20 minutes and $ 35 including certificate. They also gave me the coupon for auto repairs, will definitely come again when necessary.

There isn’t a sitting area — since it’s a gas station. But was kindly provided a comfortable lawn chair to sit in while I waited. Talk about customer service.

Yes, the price to pay for living in beautiful California is that we need to get our cars smog checked every 2 years. You just want to pay little and get in and out quickly. This is the place to go! Cenk (pronounced Jank) is quick, provides a great value and is friendly too! No need to make an appointment. Just pay in cash to get the best deal. FYI: it’s in a Shell Gas Station and no need to print out coupon, just say you found him on Unilocal!Put his location on your GPS or Google Map app. Just do it!

IMPORTANT: When comparing prices for Smog Check, remember to ask if the price DOES or DOES NOT include the $ 8.25 (price as of this writing) cost of the certificate.
Most places quote a price without the certificate in big font, then the additional cost of the certificate in smaller font or as an asterisk somewhere else.

TIPS BEFORE YOU GO:
1. It’s in the Shell Gas Station. So there’s no confusion, there is a separate guy that works for the gas station and a separate guy that works at the auto service center.
2. The rates advertised are if you pay in CASH. ***SO BRING CASH*** I presume he charges more if you use credit card, I don’t know.
3. There are different rates depending on if your car is 4, 6, 8 or other types of engine. DON’T RATE LOW STARS BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T ASK FIRST! Rates are advertised clearly on their website.
4. BRING YOUR DMV NOTICE. IT HAS A BAR CODE TO MAKE BOTH YOUR LIVES EASIER. He will send the report electronically to DMV. All you need to do after you car passes is pay the fee online or by mail.

As Jessica B mentioned, they are FAST! He got my car in right away and it takes about 20 minutes once he starts.
The price I paid is $ 30 for 4 cylinder engines, INCLUDING THE DMV CERTIFICATE.
Lowest rate found in nearby smog check stations ~ $ 31 not including certificate.
