Scrapbook Depot

This store is closing, so get your deals while you can. Still some pretty papers and other miscellaneous items left.
It’s a bummer that the scrapbooking concept store is dying in this economy.

I registered with Unilocal for the sole purpose of reviewing this store. I have been here many times and almost every time I am disappointed. If you need basic colors of cardstock, they do have quite a variety which I appreciate. Often times, they do not even have the basics like adhesives. The customer service at this store is horrible! They rarely greet you when you walk into the store and if you ask a question it feels like they really do not want to help. They used to have a frequent buyer program for some reason not any more. When I inquired about it, there was no reason given for why they no longer have it. I asked if they were going to get more of a certain product in and after a long pause, the worker said yes. Now, I would think in most cases you would be asked if they could order some for you, right? Nope not here!!!
Despite the distance, I think from now on I will have to travel to San Jose to get my scrapbooking products.

This is a cute friendly scrapbook store. Decent selection of cardstock, adhesives, and other fun products.
As someone who knows what she wants when she visits a scrapbook store, they don’t always have the latest product. They do have a decent amount of stock however. If you’re looking for stamps they have a good selection.
Friday night crops are fun. They have a Cricut to use, and a decent amount of table space. Staff is friendly. I also love that they have a lego table in the back to keep the kids busy — my son loves it there!

Note to self:
This store is not as impressive as Cranberry Mercantile in Sunnyvale.

I’m not a scrapper (am far too… particular about my designs & would never finish a page, let alone a whole scrapbook) but Scrapbook Depot is my go-​to place for card-​making supplies that I can’t find at a craft store. Despite it’s tiny size, Scrapbook Depot has gobs of papers to choose from – everything from glitter to vellum, mulberry to cardstock & a nice sticker selection, too.
Carina, the owner, as well as the other friendly employees are awesome at helping me find the perfect supplies for invitations or birth announcements.
Are the prices similar to Michael’s? No, of course not. It’s a small retail store owned by one person. I’ll pay the difference to avoid walking aimlessly up and down Michael’s aisles trying to find someone to help me.
Today I had a gal on the phone searching out the perfect orange shimmer cardstock for my daughter’s birthday invitations. 15 minutes later, she’s got everything I need in a nice neat pile so my husband can swing by and pick it up while I’m stuck at home with a sick baby.
Just TRY that at Michael’s!
My friends attend scrap nights there each month & really enjoy themselves. If, between the two of them, they’re missing a Cricut cartridge that one of us needs, you can be sure Carina’s got it.

Ok, the daughter wanted to make a scrapbook. I figure, what the hey! There is a scrapbook place right here in the ol’ home town. So we mosey on down there after work on a Tuesday.
When we went inside the store, there was one customer being rung up at the counter. Never having been there before, I spent a few minutes looking for a starting scrapbook kit (you would think they would have them, si?). I couldn’t find what I wanted, and neither could the daughter, other than a mighty expensive blank scrapbook which required buying all the accoutrements. So… I went to the counter, as the prior customer was done and leaving. I noticed (out of the left corner of my left eye) that a woman was standing and looking at a rack by the front door. I opened my mouth to ask the woman behind the counter about some starter kits and she turned her head towards the other lady and said very loudly «May I help you?». Okay, now I’m
confused. Did I stink? Did I look like a bag lady wondering where the bathroom was? Was I not «San Carlos» enough for her?
You know, I read reviews about my town a lot. The general feeling is that the ‘HELP’ in the stores is snotty and pretentious. Well, guess what? They are. I can’t believe what happened. I grabbed the daughter and told her, rather loudly, that I would take her to Michael’s Crafts and she could get whatever she wanted. And I did, probably for half the price.
I only wish that the ‘HELP’ in the stores realize that snot only makes a mark on your clothes that never goes away and the shiny mark is what people see and know you are too stupid to get a tissue.

I went to the Scrapbook Depot to create escort cards and favor tags for my wedding. Originally I was just looking for some nice paper, a stencil and a fancy pair of scissors, but then Nicole suggested I use their Cricut machine to efficiently and precisely create the items I needed. She then proceeded to teach me how to use the machine and get the cards the exact size I wanted. Then Karina and Nicole put up with me while I took over their backroom, cutting out escort cards and tags for almost 4 hours! The best part is, they only charged me $ 2 an hour to use the machine! They were so helpful and accomodating!

I guess I would be a fan if the prices were better, but stuff here is just plain expensive. That being said, they do have plenty to offer and it is a scrapbooker’s dream to enter into such a store. It’s not that big of a store, but they do manage to pack a lot into it, especially the 12×12 papers. Wide selection there. They even have a section in the back with clearance items… of course, nothing too good, but maybe all the good steals were already taken. I saw their classroom section in the back and was unimpressed by it. At first, I was considering a membership here to be able to use their classroom supplies and scrapbook there, but now I would rather not. I wish they had more «inspiration» throughout the store of other people’s works. I don’t think I saw any. As for service, I did not find the lady that tried to answer my question to be particularly nice nor helpful…

I heart scrapbooking. To me, it’s so much more fun that just throwing photos in an album (which is still good)…
Though Scrapbook Depot can be a little pricey, they have a lot to choose from and the service is great. I do suggest going to Michael’s or a place similar if you want stickers that are a bit cheaper; however the variety at Scrapbook Depot is unmatchable.
It’s very hard not to get carried away, I often find myself wanting everything– and then realizing that I want to scrapbook my photos… and not have an album full of cute stickers and cut outs.

This is a nice local scrapbooking place. I love their Friday night crop, 6:00 till midnight. Very fun, great company and plenty of classroom supplies.
Prices are reasonable, and you can find some great deals in the back.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are all very enthuiastic about scrappin’.
Only bummer is they are closed on Sundays… my favorite day to scrap! Could they be closed on Mondays? The most hectic day?
Oh well, I am glad to have them near by.

Scrapbooking is still so fascinating to me in that the possibilities in creating a project are endless. There is no limit to the imagination, only ones pocketbook.
I’m partial to Scrapbook Nook because it’s larger (and closer), but Scrapbook Depot shouldn’t be overlooked in the least. While The Nook did have papers that I couldn’t find here, The Depot had other materials I couldn’t find there; both stores are invaluable, and complement each other well.
This place features a wide variety of scrapbooking materials and offer classes, all the same. Prices are on par, and the staff are just as friendly. The only problem? They’re closed on Sunday.

I found the Depot via a scrapbook magazine and decided to check it out. And I wasn’t disappointed: lots of cute chipboard, stickers of various themes, clear acrylic stamps, trims and embellishments, and a wonderful assortment of 12×12 sheets of complementing color palettes (with varying prices depending on texture, designs, prints, etc). I spent way too much time checking out each and every display, not to mention spent a bunch of money on cute paper and stickers.
The staff is definitely friendly and helpful! They offer lots of classes, so it’s best to check out the website or sign up for their mailing list. They’re closed on Sundays, so make sure you get your scrapbooking fix in advance.
Scrapbooking is a tad bit expensive, so it’s best to supplement the basics you get at Michaels (there’s only so much Michaels you can take!) with the cute cropping stuff here at the Depot.

My favorite Scrapbook Store. If you’re a beginner to advanced this is the store for you. The staff is really knowledgeable and make scrapbooking their life… so they really know what they’re talking about! They have a nice selection of everything you could possible think to put on paper and more. If they don’t have something or are out, they will happily order it for you. Beginner or advanced, they offer a wide range of classes to attend. Come in with a project and they react with true interest. As long as there isn’t a class or event, they have an area for you to work ($ 2 per hour). They have a small staff, so you get to know the people who work there quickly. I always enjoy my shopping experience at The Depot!
