Rin’s Bridal

My sister and I decided to go looking for local bridal shops today, she’ll be getting married in December. We figured we’d just go in and get some info about appointments, hours, collections etc. We walked in, stood by the counter, and we were never approached by the many employees that were walking around and standing behind the counter. We just kept getting blank stares, like if we weren’t even there. We stood around for a good 10 minutes and still nothing, so we figured they weren’t worth our time or money. Their loss! Horrible customer service!

I’ll admit we have had our ups and downs with Rin but in the end I got what I wanted which was my dream dress! Everyone at my wedding was in LOVE with my dress! This was the second store I came to to find my dress. I made my first trip to David’s Bridal and my consultant was rude and obnoxious. I came here and I can’t remember who I worked with I’m so sorry! But she was so nice and patient!
I did need a lot of alterations since I needed my top fixed and the bustle to be created. Let me just say the bustle was crazy! I had like 12 loops and my bridesmaids took a bit to put I together for the reception. But all in all I was IN LOVE with my dress! I was also able to get my veil from here that I got custom made (I wanted the longer veil to be shortened) which Rin called the manufacturer and they made it happen!
Be upfront with what you want and they do in store alterations make sure that everything that is said is written down with alteration pricing.

After running around to every bridal shop imaginable to try and find the right dress, Rins had the golden ticket! Rin worked with me on getting a fair price and altered it beautifully. My wedding dress was amazing! So was Rin’s customer service. Her staff is very friendly and helpful. Love this place!

After going to various bridal shops in the San Jose Bay Area and not being able to find a dress in my price range, I found Rin’s Bridal. I was very impressed from the moment I walked in. When I scheduled the appointment, I gave Anna, the Sales Consultant, my price range and size. By the time I got there, she had already pulled some dresses in my price range for me to try on. I must have been there about two hours trying on dresses, and found one I really liked. I purchased it and had the alterations done there. I went there for three fittings and Anna was very helpful and friendly each time. I felt she went above and beyond.
The only reason I am only giving four stars is that there was one issue. The dress was strapless and from the beginning I was told that I could add straps. I understood it was included in the alterations price I was given. Come to find out about two months from my wedding I was going to be charged another $ 100 for adding straps. I was able to negotiate down to $ 50. Overall I still recommend Rin’s Bridal, but make sure all costs included are understood upfront.

Making appointments at Rin’s, I had no issues. Julie helped at my fitting and was so much fun. Her energy is radiant. My dress had a lot of issues (because of the dress maker, not Rin’s). The team of ladies at Rin’s listened, helped the very best they could, and fixed my dress in time for my wedding day. I could not be more appreciative for all of the advice, phone calls, fittings, emails, and alterations. As stressed as I was, my dress turned out gorgeous and my wedding day was perfect. I received compliment after compliment on my stunning dress, and I am so thankful that it all worked out. Thank you ladies!

Rin’s Bridal was the 3^rd salon I visited during my search for THE dress. By the time I visited the salon, I was very clear that my perfect dress must be satin, have a lot of bling and be very formal for an evening black tie wedding. Unfortunately Rin’s did not have anything that fit the bill and I left pretty disappointed after only trying on 3 dresses.
If you are looking for a lace dress, this is the place for you. EVERYTHING is lace – which is exactly the opposite of what I was looking for. Additionally, if you want something more high end and formal, this place won’t meet your needs. After showing Rin pictures of dresses I liked, she had to admit that she really didn’t have that many dresses for me to try on.
As far as the customer service is concerned, I worked with Rin directly and she was awesome. She listened to what I wanted and was very polite. She wasn’t pushy or rude at all. She even offered to try and find one of the satin dresses I had shown her a picture of.
Lastly, I think its important to mention the condition of the shop. Frankly it was old, it was somewhat dirty and cluttered. Even if I had found THE dress at Rin’s I would’ve been hesitant to purchase it there. Trust me, I’m not a snob, but I was sort of surprised at the overall feel & look of the shop. For me its important to have confidence in the bridal salon I order from. Based on appearance alone, it would’ve been really hard for me to feel comfortable ordering a dress from here and feeling assured that the dress would be treated with the utmost care.
THIS PLACE ISN’T FOR YOU IF: You’re more of a «high-​end» bride, you know the difference in fabric and embellishment quality and you want a dress that doesn’t have lace.
THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU IF: You’re balling on a budget, you love lace, and you’re not looking for a super formal gown.

I had the best experience at Rin’s! They were so nice every time I went in and they helped my find the most perfect dress for my wedding day. It was a little expensive with all the tailoring and everything but I was able to stay within my budget. Rin did the best job with tailoring it so it fit perfectly and made me feel so beautiful! I would definitely recommend Rin’s to anyone who is looking for a beautiful dress at a reasonable price with fantastic staff to help you out.

As the Mother of the Groom in 2014 and then the Mother of the Bride in 2015, I have to share my experience at Rin’s Bridal! Both my daughter in law and my daughter chose their bridal gown from Rin’s. For each of them, Rin and her staff went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience. Especially I would like to recognize Rin and Mary… two women who became like ‘family’ during this joyous time. From the initial ‘searching’ for THE dress to the final fitting, Rin and her staff were there for us. You can see why they have been in business for over 30 years! I would highly recommend them!

At a loss as to where to purchase my daughters prom dress, we chose Rins Bridal salon. Rin and her staff are so friendly, accommodating and helpful, it made the confusing choice of dresses a slam dunk job! Rin helped me stay in budget for money and time and came thru effortlessly. She is a consummate professional and clearly understands young ladies. No more shopping quandaries with my teenage daughter. Rin has my business!

Rin’s bridal has fantastic selection, great prices, and very helpful staff. I purchased my dress and got it fitted here — it ended up way below my expected budget and looked gorgeous! Rin was very helpful, and because I work the same hours as they are open she even stayed late for me one night so I could get in a fitting. The alterations were completely seamless and fit great, even though the dress had a pretty detailed design. I only take off one star because the bustling hooks were quite well hidden — it took my poor helpers quite a while to get me situated when I was preparing for dancing. Great for the walk down the aisle, but ended up delaying the reception.

Seriously can’t say enough good things about this salon. Growing up in San Carlos I had always walked passed Rin’s, trying to catch a glimpse of the gowns through the window. When it came time to find my own gown I knew this would be my go-​to shop. The experience shopping for a dress with my mom was made very special by our saleswoman Ellie, who helped us from start to finish and always made me feel extra special. Her expertise is unmatchable. I even made sure she was working the day I brought my bridesmaids in to find their dresses… She really is the best! She has great attention to detail and was amazing at following up by phone on any questions I had during the process. My mom and I are forever grateful for Ellie and the special way she made us feel at Rin’s!

I tried on several Allure dresses at a different salon and found out that Rin’s was going to have a trunk show for Allure that I decided to go to Rin’s to potentially purchase my wedding dress at a discount (trunk show usually gives you at least 10% off). I really wanted to like Rin’s especially since my friend, Ellen seemed to have a good experience at this salon.
I made the appointment early. .like a week early and they had lots of opening that day, they called me the day before to confirm my appointment too so they knew I was coming. Upon arriving at the salon, however, I felt that I was not given the attention that I should have received as someone who made appointment early. The consultant that I got clearly didn’t know a thing about wedding dresses and the whole appointment was a disaster.
I told her my budget and she went shopping for dresses for me to try on, all of them were at least $ 200 more than my budget, before taxes! The worst part was that she pulled dresses that are way too small and impossible for me to try on because they were 4 sizes smaller than me and the styles were fitted mermaids! When she finally did pull bigger size gowns, she didn’t know how to put them on. Took her like 20 minutes to lace a dress with a corset back and after she laced me, the dress was very lose that I had to constantly hold on to it, oh boy!
There was a dress that I liked and the consultant persuaded me to purchase. She said that the dress would arrive in time even though my friend was questioning her about the timeline between receiving the dress and then get it altered … 15 minutes later, she said that I had to pay $ 300 rush fee! Then she also convinced us that their alteration department can alter a dress within two weeks and later the store manager told us that that’s not possible.
Overall, the appointment was just a mess and Rin’s certainly didn’t impress me.

I LOVED my experience at Rin’s Bridal! My future sister in law recommended this place to me and I’m so glad she did! The entire experience was amazing and I absolutely loved working wit Tai. She was so so kind and very easy to work with. She picked out some dresses for me and also let me pick some of my own. I loved all her choices and she is so good at getting you in the dresses! She’s so good at clipping the dresses to make it fit and also helps you to get the complete picture by providing accessories. I never ever felt rushed when I was working with Tai and she gave me 100% of her attention the entire time I was there. She made it such a fun experience and even asked if I wanted to try some dresses on «just for fun». So we threw on a few that I probably wouldn’t get but it was fun to try. How awesome is that?!
The place is clean and I also love that the dressing rooms are huge! Very comfortable and there is also a huge mirror inside so that you can see how you look before walking out in front of everyone else. I was so stressed because I’m trying to plan my wedding in 6 months and many of the places I went to made me feel very bad about trying to get a dress in such a short amount of time. But not Tai! She worked with me to find designers that could send dresses out faster in the time that I had and didn’t make me feel bad for not having 6+ months to get a dress. It really was an amazing experience from beginning to end. I was bummed because after going to two places, I didn’t see any dresses that I liked. Then, I came to Rin’s and left with 2 dress options! Now I can’t decide which one! Oh and the prices are reasonable too — both of the dresses I liked were well within my budget.
I think I’ll be saying Yes to the Dress at Rin’s!
PS — I came on Valentine’s Day and at the end of the appointment, Tai even gave me a little goody bag of cookies and chocolates! Love!

I’d just like to start this review by saying I did not purchase my dress from Rin. This review is solely for the customer experience.
I came to this store with my mom to find a wedding dress and was immediately bombarded by Rin herself. She was pushy and insisted that we should try on dresses even though we were only there to look and said so to her and her staff. She approached us AT LEAST four times in less than a minute and a half. After picking only one dress that I liked to try on, she approached me yet another time asking me my budget and what I’m looking for. I let her know how much I can afford and she suggested a dress that I actually liked a lot.
After trying it on and falling in love with it, I realized that it was almost $ 500 above my budget. Even while in the dress, she would not leave me alone to just let me look at the dress or let me talk privately to my mother. I was fuming that she pulled a dress that was above my budget after asking what I could afford. I was very annoyed by Rin and will never recommend anyone to go there.
Thankfully I found the same dress almost $ 700 cheaper at another shop with great customer service and a super awesome owner.
The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because the staff (aside from Rin) were friendly and I did like that I was able to look and try on dresses without an appointment like so many other bridal shops require.
Overall, I’d say you’re better off at another store.

I just purchased my dress here yesterday. I went in, not expecting to find my dress that day. I was paired with Tai, who I have to say was so fun/​easy going and personable, and I tried on about 20 dresses. I came in at 2:30 and didn’t leave until 5:45. At no time did I feel rushed nor that I was over-​staying my welcome. The customer service here from everyone involved there was above par. I felt that everyone cared about me finding my dream gown. When I finally thought I’d decided on a dress Tai was kind enough to help me find the perfect accessories, yet at no point did I feel pressured to make a purchase same day, in fact, they suggested taking a day to think about it. However, I knew the dress I found here was «the one» so I went ahead with the purchase. If you buy a dress over $ 1500 you get a $ 200 credit toward accessories, which came in handy!
Overall, Rin’s Bridal has a very broad selection, a plethora of sizes and if not, they are pros at clipping you into a dress! Overall, my experience there was 100% lovely and I am so glad I decided to visit the store!

This is an update after the wedding. My dress was perfect and beautiful and the alterations were reasonably priced, and I was very happy with my experience at Rin’s!
Here are more details: I bought a Marisa dress, and there was a bit of an issue getting the French lace. The factory kept pushing back my delivery date, and I was getting really worried about having enough time for alterations! One of the girls told Rin about what was happening, and she took over and comforted me over the phone, and called the factory repeatedly demanding my dress and not taking any excuses! It was really nice to know that Rin cared about me and my dress and had the clout to get things moving.
Not only that, but when we were discussing options for the delivery date etc. I told her I did not want to pay for expedited alterations since I had ordered my dress well in advance, and she was completely receptive and said they would definitely help me without extra charge.
I thought that after the wedding, I’d alter my dress to a cocktail dress, but I can’t bear to change it because it’s just too beautiful! AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RIN’S BRIDAL!

Rins did a great job! Rin herself is so sweet it was a great experience working with her! This was the first place i went for dress shopping. Julie was my consultant and was SO nice! I showed her pictures of what i want and she pulled tons of dresses that were similar to what i was looking for. Rins has a variety of dresses by many designers in all price ranges. Trying on dresses with Julie for the first time was such a fun experience. My bridal entourage and I had the whole place to ourselves and got to play with the accessories with everything i tried on. The second dress i tried on was absolutely stunning and perfect however I had a dress in mind by a designer they didn’t carry and they weren’t at all offended when I said I had to see that one as well. The dress i had in mind ended up being the opposite of faltering and me and my dress entourage immediately headed back to rins.
I got my Kitty Chen Couture dress that day and they matched it with a beautiful lace long lace veil that was better then I imagined.
Rin did a great job with alternations on my dress. It fit like a glove and I also got a beautiful blinged out sash. I really have a love for buttons on the back of dresses and didnt want my sash to cover it so rin came up with the genius idea of pulling the 3 buttons that the sash would cover off the dress and sewing it onto the sash so it blended perfectly. She also did a beautiful bustle (very hard to find with my big train) but beautiful none the less!
My bridal party and flower girl ended up getting there dresses at rins too! They have a wide range of bridesmaid dresses! We cant wait to get pictures from our photographer. All ladies in the bridal party looked great at my wedding!

I found Rin’s Bridal through Unilocal.This was my 2^nd time trying on wedding dresses. Julie, my consultant was SO helpful. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, super helpful. She LISTENED to what I wanted and selected dresses that’s within my price range. Honestly, coming to Rin’s bridal I was afraid that I wouldn’t find anything in my price range. Luckily, Julie told me that there were a few dresses in my range. I tried on 5 dresses, and absolutely LOVED the 3^rd one. I haven’t made a decision yet. Have plenty of time to shop around, but Rin’s Bridal is in the very top of my list. It’ll be interesting to see what I choose :-) Thank you, Julie for making my experience wonderful!

I found out about Rin’s Bridal through a coworker and decided to make an appointment. This was my first time ever trying on wedding dresses. Rin’s was my first bridal store and the first dress I tried on was it!!! I tried on 5 other dresses just for the sake of trying on dresses but once I put on the first dress again I knew it was the one.
I want to extend many thanks to the staff at Rin’s, especially Mary and Katie. Mary was very accommodating with my large entourage even as we ran late for the appointment. She was able to reschedule the appointment 30 mins. later with no problem.
Mary was very patient and was able to set us up towards the back of the bridal salon so we had the area all to ourselves. She was welcoming and provided great customer service resulting in an excellent experience.
I plan on bringing my bridal entourage to Rin’s for bridesmaid dresses. I definitely recommend Rin’s Bridal.

After having an unpleasant experience with my wedding dress boutique store, who delivered my wedding dress with only a week to do alterations, I found Rin with the help of friends, as I searched for a place who would do dress alterations for me in such short notice and with a quick turn around time.
As soon as I learned the date that my dress would come in, I contacted Rin to see if the time frame would work with her seamstress’ schedule. She knew I was stressed and in a crunch and Rin did everything in her power to put me at ease and work with my time frame. She cleared her schedule and told me that as long as she had the dress for a week, she could guarantee alterations to be done before my fiancé and I departed to Palm Springs for our wedding on September 7, 2013.
When I came in for my first appointment, we realized that the boutique store where I purchased my gown from, ordered my gown several sizes too big and failed to do custom length on my dress. I am a very petite woman and two of me could have fit in the dress I was wearing at the first fitting. Rin took care of it though, she fitted me herself both times, and the finished product looked absolutely perfect. The dress was taken in from everywhere, essentially creating a brand new dress out of the original oversized gown I had purchased. Rin had promised me the dress on the 29^th of August, and she had it finished early morning on the 28^th!
I couldn’t have asked for better service, reasonable prices and quality work! Thank you Rin for doing such an exceptional job on my my wedding gown!
