Lau Photography has been serving the greater Bay Area for the past thirty years. We offer a wide range of event-​centric photography services, specializing in wedding photography and family portraiture. We are versed in formal and candid styles of composition in studio and outdoor environments. I was exposed to the true meaning of time constraints, making deadlines, and pressure during weddings and action photography. We have expanded our photographic services offering video production support for commercial branding and independent filmmakers alike.

Established in 1984.

Hello! I am Eric, Lead Videographer and Photographer. I started my photographic journey when I was 10 years old, loading medium format film for my parents during weddings. A lot has changed since then, we swapped our film for memory cards and have been lucky enough to add video production components to our in home studio. We would love to help you capture your moments/​media so family or audiences alike can share your experiences.

When we first started to plan our small civil wedding, we didn’t plan on hiring a photographer, however, when my wife was choosing a dress at Rin’s bridal and was suggested to check out a local photographer here in San Carlos. At first I was hesitant to go since we only had about 2 months to plan everything. When we first arrived Tammy, her husband, and son greeted us at their door in their photo studio/​office, as if we where family. We saw some of the previous and current projects they where working on and for sure I thought we weren’t going to be able to afford them. As we kept discussing some details and time frames, we where able to plan a custom photo plan that would satisfy both our time and budget.
I am so gad we where able to come to an agreement, our wedding pictures came out amazing. We trusted their experience and creative direction when we started to shoot on our wedding day. We started at the SF city hall and from their added extra hours so we could get everything the way we wanted. Erick, Tammy son, also let me add some cool car scene of our challenger that we bought when we where going out, which added a little extra creativity and customization to our wedding pictures.
The end results where second to none, Lau photography really went above and beyond with our photos and video. I not only showed our guest but all of our family and friends that could not make it. We plan on using them for our church wedding in a couple of years and also for any other special occasions.

Lau Photography did a wonderful photo shoot of my family. With three photographers, they were able to capture many different moments to give us many options to choose from. They were kind, patient and professional. I am appreciative of all the time and care Tammy and her family spent with us. They had great ideas but were also flexible and open to suggestions. The whole experience was enjoyable and I am very grateful to have the beautiful pictures of my family.
