History

Established in 1998.

Wedding Photographer: Jack Arent began his career as a photojournalist with the Palo Alto Daily News, covering news stories such as Steve Jobs commencement speech at Stanford University, along with photographing countless feature portraits. After three years in the newspaper industry he then joined the Golden State Warriors and NBA Entertainment, working on local assignments and assignments around the country. He now splits his time evenly photographing weddings, NBA basketball and special events like parities at Larry Ellison’s private estate in Woodside, CA. There is a unique similarity when photographing weddings and NBA basketball, that being there is a heightened sense of urgency to perfectly capture these once in a lifetime events, the pressures to perform in these situations are when Jack is truly at his best.

We have hired Jack as our wedding photographer and could not be more pleased with our experience so far. He is very personable and eager to make his clients’ dreams come true. When we took our engagement photos in San Francisco, he was very willing to listen to all of our ideas (I had quite a list from Pinterest!) And provided many of his own. He knows a lot about his craft and taught us to be patient while waiting for the perfect natural lighting for shots. Our friends and family love our engagement photos and we can’t wait to see the ones from the wedding!

I agree with everyone else that wrote a review for Jack. He is great to work with. From our initial meeting and throughout the entire process Jack was there the entire time. He was responsive, detailed, attentive and made our lives very easy. Besides that the pictures turned out amazing. We were both very happy with all of the pictures. Most importantly, he is a man of his word. He did what he said he would and how we wanted which is rare these days. Jack is also very patient and accommodating.
We plan on using Jack for future events and highly recommend him to anyone for any occasion. You won’t regret using Jack.

Jack is amazing. He has taken photos for our company over these past few years. Every time Jack was able to capture the essence, spirit and the look we were wanting to achieve. Hands down the best. Some photographers just snap away and think it’s art, Jack understands lighting, positioning and most importantly tells us if we have flyaways in our face or if we need to be in the correct angle for the shot. It also helps that he photographs athletes in action! We highly recommend Jack!

Jack did our wedding and engagement shots in August. He was amazing. For our wedding we got over a thousand great edited with high resolution photos. He spent a great amount of time with us at our wedding (over 8 hours) & he even brought an assistant. We couldn’t beat the price and his service with anyone else. We also had full printing access for all the photos so it made it easier for us. We also got the photos shortly after we came back from our honeymoon. Perfect!!!

Jack is an incredibly talented photographer. My wife and I hired him to shoot our wedding in August 2014, and we couldn’t be happier with how our photos turned out. We knew him as an NBA photographer, and those skills certainly translate to wedding photography. He has a knack for capturing expressions. When we were going through our photos, we couldn’t believe how many great candid shots there were, and from varying angles as well.
In addition to being a great photographer, he’s super easy to work with. I’ve been to weddings where the photographers are rather intrusive, and Jack’s pretty much the opposite of that. He’s super professional and was never «in the way» of anything that happened at our wedding.
From lighting to editing to an easy going demeanor that made him incredibly pleasant and easy to work with, our experiences with Jack were amazing. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would.

Jack Arent is a photographer who is passionate and loves what he does. We had the privilege of having Jack do our wedding photos. Five stars are not enough for his review, he deserves so much more! Jack is AMAZING, he’s experienced, professional, punctual, and works with you on what you need and want to make your wedding photos all that you want them to be. The photos Jack took for our wedding were unbelievable!!! We had our ceremony at a church, the lighting, clarity and exposure in all the photos were beautiful! He works hard to get all of the ceremony and family photos done in a timely manner so my wife and I didn’t feel like we were spending most of our time in front of a camera. The reception photos that were taken were breathtaking!! They truly bring us back to all the special moments that day, every time we look at the photos. Jack is amazing at what he does and you don’t even realize he is there. He captures all the important pieces of your wedding day! He is very reasonably priced and I assure you that the work you get from Jack is worth far more than what he charges! We are so grateful to have all the most meaningful moments of our wedding day captured in photos that we will now get to remember perfectly for the rest of our lives because of Jacks outstanding photography!!!
