Custom Creations came highly recommended as a «go to» when I was thinking of window coverings for our new home. Luis and his son worked with me all through the journey. They walked me through all the options available and listed pros and cons for each of them. I scheduled 3 appointments with them before I finally settled for honeycomb shades with top down functionality since I was going for a modern and contemporary look. I’m so glad I made the decision to go with custom creations because the experience was the only part of our move that did not stress me out! I highly recommend this local business if you are looking for a seamless and pleasurable experience for your window covering projects.

Its 5 years to our blinds and have had a couple of the cord winders give way. we called up Luis asking where we can get a replacement, he said they will order it for us. They stopped by one day and replaced all our cords just in case. Awesomeness!

I wanted to provide a slightly different perspective after looking around. We scheduled for a consultation based on all the positive reviews. The appraiser arrived on time and was professional during the consultation. He didn’t bring any product samples/​pictures to look through so we just discussed options and I had to pull up pictures on my computer to understand what he was recommending. He was really pushing me towards plantation shutters that would have blocked our beautiful canyon view. He did come around to a different option and started measuring the three rooms where I need window treatments.
He spent a good amount of time measuring our windows to put together a quote. About five days later, a quote came back with ²⁄₃ rooms incorporated. I guess the measurements for the third room had been lost. The quote was about 2x the price from competitors. They also didn’t recommend some of the newer window treatment options that are high quality and more affordable.
Between the high price, the lack of recommendations for the latest and greatest window treatments and no product samples during consultation, I would recommend looking around before you settle on treatments from Custom Creations.

After getting quotes from both Graber and Smith and Noble, I decided to give Custom Creations a call at the last minute. Glad I did! Luis came out and immediately understood what would look the best in our house. He stopped me from ordering solar shades for my small windows that would have looked clunky and not given us any privacy. He recommended very clean and simple cellular shades and his price was very comparable. They look fantastic and are just what we wanted. The thing I most appreciated about Luis is that he sells all different kinds of window coverings, so when he comes over to give you a quote, he can recommend what would work best for your space. I didn’t feel like he was just trying to make a sale and then would vanish as quickly as possible. I felt like I was talking to someone with a lot of experience who could steer me in the right direction. The window coverings came quickly, were installed efficiently and fit perfectly.
No need to stress if you call these folks!

I purchased wooden shutters for my entire house 15+ years ago from Luis. As Luis promised, today the shutters still look ABSOLUTELY AWESOME in our house despite having 2 teenagers trying to destroy everything in our house.

I chose to use Custom Creations based on their good reviews on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. The product they are selling is very good quality! Their estimated delivery time was very accurate, the installers were very professional and polite and did the job efficiently. I had plantation shutters installed as well as other window coverings. After the job was complete, I had some questions and the owner’s wife who takes the calls it is I believe is always very friendly and very very helpful! They are not cheap but they deliver! The tiny problem I had was when I installed the shutters, the installation guy did a very bad job patching up the paint on the wall around the shutters. I was told that he will fix everything but he did a bad job. However, I was busy with the baby and didnt notice the imperfections until after he left. Next time I would just check the work before he leaves. But it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. It is something minor and I am SURE if I called the office, they would send someone to fix it! They are good on customer service! Would definitely use them again!

Everyone at Custom Creations is very professional and cares about their clients. I have worked with two other companies prior to being referred here and had very bad experiences with both, so bad that it took us three years to put window treatments in our new house. Luis was unbelievably patient and helpful — leading us to the best styles for each of the five rooms we needed addressed. His prices were very fair and competitive and the customer service is above and beyond. Additionally his installation crew is the best I’ve come across, very efficient, clean, helpful and on time.

Custom Creations was referred to us by someone who worked with them before and was pleased with their services. We were looking for a clean look in our home and something that was low maintenance, so we opted for shutters on most windows. Louis was very prompt for our consultation appointment and quite knowledgeable, helping us decide on the best options for the windows we didn’t want shuttered. After getting the price quote on 20 windows (17 wood shutters, 3 faux wood blinds), we were in sticker shock and decided to put off the order for some time in the future.
After about a month or so, Louis followed-​up with us on our decision and was able to offer a better deal because he had another order for the same shutters we wanted, leading to wholesale pricing for both parties! They were flexible in booking the installation appointment and after it was finally done I came home at the end of the day and was speechless at the gorgeous quality! The 5-​stars is for that great service and not to mention great products :)

After visiting three other shutter vendors, I looked up Custom Creations on Unilocal.I worked with Luis on very short notice (I called 5 minutes from closing time and he was kind enough to wait for me). He walked me through the shutter process and then even came to our house to check out the windows (all after hours).
Luis provided some very good input on the proper sizing and framing of the shutters, which no other vendor had done., even those who had come onsite.
The best part, though, was that CC’s price was $ 1000 less than the other guys, installation was in time and quickly done, and the shutters (as recommended by Luis) look fantastic.

Louis — the owner — was very professional and detail — oriented. Setting up the appointment was quick. Louis called to confirm before coming, showed up on time and helped us make a decision on our drapes. He estimated about 3 weeks for the job. William — the installer — showed up a little after 18 days inspite of the inclement weather (it was stormy and rainy that day) and installed the drapes perfectly. I am very happy with the job and cost and would definitely recommend Custom Creations for your window fashions needs.

Customs Creations is great. Great service, great prices, great selections. Luis is very friendly and knowledgeable about all the products. Thorough from start to finish. We had some issues with one of the honeycomb blinds we ordered and Luis was prompt in fixing the problem and getting the replacement. He called a few days after the new blind was installed to make sure that they were all working to my satisfaction. They stand by their product and offer a great warranty. I would recommend Custom Creations to anyone who is looking for quality window treatments at a competitive price.

Thank you for the cornices on my draperies, they are now complete. The blinds are great as mentioned in some of the other reviews. They look great, Luis was careful to pick a color that matched the walls, he paid attention to details such as where the openers go and such, and the installation went well.

We just moved to a larger home with our 2 girls and one baby on the way and needed new window coverings badly.
We had no reservations whatsoever in calling Luis at Custom Creations. They did all the measurements and installed roman shades and plantation shutters in our two previous homes, as well as the window coverings at multiple family members houses. Luis is extremely sincere and a great person to work with. Not only was he precise in all of his measurements, he also has a great eye and was able to help us choose the best shades that fit our type of home.
We received simply the best service from Luis and Laurie in arranging prompt visits for estimates and also for getting back to us within 24 hours with questions. Laurie works in the office and managed our orders and even arranged temporary shades for us no problem at all.
Also, we again did our due diligence on costs and Custom Creations is slightly higher (neglible) but very competitive considering their exceptional quality, service and attention to detail. Well worth every penny.
Regarding the installation, we had the same person, Will, as a few years ago and he was extremely courteous, professional, and timely. The shades look awesome from design to fit. The quality and clean-​up were great. The screws that Will used were even better than normal. Also, we had both of our kids in the house during the install with no issues in terms of extraneous noise or mess.
Overall, Luis and co. have been a consistently trusted source for many years. I highly recommend Custom Creations for anyone considering a great high quality experience choosing and installing window coverings.

We needed room darkening shades for our living/​dining room to accomodate our new home theater system. Luis (the owner) came to our home and suggested some fabrics for our new roman shades.
Custom Creations was VERY professional and had some great ideas that helped us make our selection much easier.
The shades fit perfectly… We plan to go back to Luis when we start remodeling the rest of our home. Dealing with Custom Creations was one of the easiest, stress free parts of our remodeling process.

After checking out various places (Home Depot, Macy’s, advertised places, online places) for shutters I finally settled on Custom. I had other people come out and give me a quote but i liked the thoroughness of Custom. When he came out to measure my windows, he took the time to explain it all to me what he was doing and how the shutters would hang. He had plenty of samples to pour over as well. He also explained that my windows were not level to each other but would install the shutters to make them all level to the same height.
There are basically a couple of major shutter manufactures that supply the Bay Area. One manufacturer is in China
and the other is in the central valley. I felt the Norman shutters were of a little better quality. Since everyone essentially carries the same lines, it comes down to the quality of installation and service.
The installation was amazingly clean. There was no on site cutting; everything was dry fit the night before off site… he said in his home. They came early in the morning and just had to unpack a few things and then just started installing everything. FANTASTIC!!!
I was very happy with the efficiency of the installation and the quality.
Custom was a little more expensive but matched the price of a lower quote. $ 5K ttl.
I would use them again. I have attached the picture of my 4 inch shutters with the bright white finish.
I would give them 5 stars if they originally came in at a lower price.
