History
Established in 1998.
Gini Garcia founded the business after developing a passion for the art of hand blown glass. Garcia Art Glass was the first hot glass studio located in downtown San Antonio. Gini has worked internationally both in commercial and residential capacities and captures the unique flair and culture of the city of San Antonio. She has been featured in Southern Living, Western Interiors, San Antonio Woman, and Home and Garden Television to name a few. Ms. Garcia employs a team of glass masters with 75 years of combined experience. Her glass chandeliers, wall sculptures, lighting fixtures and tablescape objects have been commissioned throughout the United States and abroad.

Gini began her training by receiving a Bachelor of Fine Art (B.F.A) in Industrial Design from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1983. She has been training in glass techniques since 1994 at numerous institutions such as Urban Glass in New York City, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine, The New Orleans School of Glassworks, and Texas Tech University. In December of 1998 she opened Garcia Art Glass, Inc. From it’s inception they have produced one-of-a-kind hand blown glass art creations ranging from the functional to the whimsical. In 2003 Gini spent time in Murano, Italy where she became certified in the art of the Venetian chandelier. Recent clients inclue At&t, Wells Fargo, The United Way, Volvo, Warner Brothers, Benchmark Hospitality, Hyatt International, Westin Hotels International, and Phillip Starke International. Ms. Garcia also creates dignitary gifts for the City of San Antonio, The County and The State of Texas.
