Four Points by Sheraton San Antonio Airport

My kind of hotel, abundant parking, walking distance to food, shopping and entertainment. As for the hotel itself, fantastic property, HUGE spacious suite, 2 flat screen TV’s, plenty of power outlets for electronics, as well as a fridge and microwave. Suite came with a large desk, lots of clothes storage for longer stays, and comfortable chairs and couch. The staff was very friendly. There isn’t a free breakfast, but that’s par for the course on higher end properties such as this, but at $ 9 for a breakfast buffet, it was cheaper than most. They also had free BBQ and Beer samples on Wednesday evening in the restaurant, so that’s a nice bonus. Nice outdoor sitting area to hear the soothing sounds of I-​410, but you’re near the airport so traffic is expected, but you hear NOTHING inside the hotel, it’s very quiet and comfortable. Speaking of comfort the beds are fantastic, it was a great nights sleep. Overall a very pleasant stay for sure. Highly recommended.

The beds are like sleeping on the nurturing bosom of Mother Nature herself. The bar staff greets you like old friends, and Shiner is on tap. The lobby is a pleasant place to hang with non-​guests who don’t need to see your underwear on the floor of your room. It’s quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced. You don’t hear planes. It’s all you can ask for.

Warning to all
users and this hotel, you the very last people to get any service. Third stay in this hotel in 8 days and each time the worst customer service of any hotel period!
I call for early check-​in and told not till 3! Period! I request a room with 2 beds, was told that they are for sale, but my
reservation does not guarantee me any specific type of room. Meaning that at 3pm I get the leftovers! Marriott and IHG are happy to provide early check-​ins. I’ve checked in as early as 7am! I call ahead and make sure I get 2 beds, no problem. Done. No push back what-so-ever.Only at Four Points have I’ve ever had any issues-​ever.
This morning I even talk to a manager. She specifically told me she has 2 room available now with 2 beds, but she is hold them for other people who might check in. I told her my room is already paid for! Made no difference.
So family travelers beware! Anyone who buys from
and gets Four Points, be ready to be treated as a very unwanted house guest.

Four Points is a very nice hotel recently remodeled, rooms as well. The lobby, very nice and spacious. New pool and Cabana area nice for sitting out on the afternoon when it’s hot. The Parking lot is very big never have a problem finding a spot there is no security gate in and out but I haven’t seen anyone lurking around at night. Rooms themselves are a bit small if you are here for somewhat of a extended stay. I am here for business there’s a lot of space for storage but not a whole lot of room to just throw your suitcase on the ground. Bathrooms are nice good lighting for girls doing their make up. Nice showers and tub. All in all good hotel I would stay here again but maybe not longer then a week.

The beauty of being an airport hotel property is that you can provide a sub-​standard product, and receive business because you don’t count on repeat business. Well, please allow me to explain to you why you are MUCH better off giving your business to one of the 5+ airport hotels near San Antonio Airport.
Pros
+ Less than a 10 minute shuttle ride from the airport.
Cons
— The property is poorly maintained, both in the short and long-​term. In the short-​term, we saw garbage tossed on the floor by irresponsible guests. Then several hours later, we saw the garbage still sitting in the same spot. In the long-​term, you can tell from my photos that the hotel furniture is rough around the edges. It’s not Motel 6 quality, but it is not Four Points quality.
— The Four Points by Sheraton San Antonio Airport shares a hotel shuttle service with about 5 other properties. Meaning they don’t have set shuttle times, and you are sometimes left stranded. Waiting. Just waiting.
— No free breakfast. I get it, this is a chain-​wide issue, not an issue specific to this property. But when there are local hotels (e.g., Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn & Suites) that are literally across the street from this hotel, and they offer free breakfast, and their rates are often the same (or even cheaper)… then why are you staying here again?
— The staff are incredibly well-​trained. Usually that’s a pro, right? Well in this case, it means that the staff repeat Hotel Employee 101 phrases when you have an issue. Example of a response to my comment to the front desk employee about their painfully slow computers in the business center: «We are sorry for your inconvenience,» Umm… okay. Will you fix this for the next guest? Can I reboot it and see if that improves the lag? Will you do more than just stand there and stare at me awkwardly?
Look, I get that most stays at airport hotels are for 1 night and all you care about is getting to/​from the airport. But do yourself a favor and check at least a few of the other options out. You’ll end up the same distance from San Antonio Airport, and may get a free breakfast, a cleaner property, and staff that care at a better price.

New, clean rooms, heated pool plus hot tub, and gave my kids toys upon checkin!

Absolutely loved my stay here! We got in town at about 3pm, no reservation and got a double room right away for 3 nights! The two bed thing didn’t bother us since we slept in one. The room was clean, they even have free water in the room. The only bad thing was the loud ppl in the room next door watching a football game or something but you could really only hear them while in the bathroom so no biggie. This hotel is super close to the airport, maybe a whole 5min away. North Star mall is just down the street and pretty much everything else is close by as well. It was a great choice considering it was very spontaneous! After 2days on the road it was our first pick and I’d stay here again!

Given it is a 4 Points Sheraton (lower on the SPG scale), this place is really great.
It looks recently remodeled, the rooms are fresh, clean and big. The beds are one of those super comfy beds.
A huge plus, the Internet is FAST and free for everyone, which is surprising these days.
Another big plus is they have a decent breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast, some fruit, pastries… and you can order whatever kind of eggs you want including egg whites.
A great hotel, with some of the most friendly staff I have met! True Texas hospitality!

Stayed here with the fam on Memorial Day weekend. Great hotel and great service. Rooms were big, and having two TV’s in the room (as we had a mini suite) helped. Room has a refrigerator so we could store some things, and the kids loved the pool.
This is the nicest four points I have stayed at.

This is one of my favorite Sheraton properties. The staff is friendly, workout room is good. They have local beer on tap at the bar. The beds are fabulous.

I loved this hotel! Great location, friendly staff, good parking and great amenities. I will definitely stay here again! The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were spacious and clean, I have not one complaint about this place!

I called to book a room at the Aloft hotel and was referred to this sister hotel. I was slightly disappointed because Aloft was booked for the night but decided to stay at Four Points. Great decision! I arrived and was greeted by a very nice member of their team, Tamara.
Guess it’s free BBQ & beer night as well! Unfortunately I’m too tired to check it out but thought I’d mention it in this review.
The room is perfect! Very clean and newer than I had anticipated. I love it! The beds are comfy and there are plenty of options on the room service menu (for those of you that are too exhausted or too ill to get out of bed).
I’m glad I checked in! This will always be one of my first choices for hotels the next time I’m in the area!

My job recently had a week-​long training session here with folks coming from at least 20 different parts of the country. So you can imagine that there were plenty of different personalities with different needs and requirements on top of the variety of wants. And who had to help coordinate much of it? Yep. I had to manage those requests plus those of our VIPs and the different training breakouts, etc. Thank goodness each and every employee I talked to, coordinated with, begged, pleaded, asked, and so on and so forth were beyond accommodating! Always with a smile — always with a polite ‘yes ma’am’ and ‘no ma’am’ and ‘no problem”. It made doing my job for all of my directors and VIPs that much easier. When I came in after lunch was served, one of the employees remembered me as I was walking past the restaurant and said, ‘Ma’am! We have your lunch! Here it is!’ She came up to me holding my order and was waiting for me to direct her of where to go. I apologized and asked if I could have it packaged up because I was still busy taking care of some issues and she happily said, ‘Of course!’ Unbelievable. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but no matter because they were ALL GREAT. Words can not express just how awesome they all are and I will definitely be referring folks to utilize their services!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR IN THE PARKING LOT
Last night my friend and her dad stopped there on there move to Atlanta, GA. They went to dinner for a few hours and when they returned there UHAUL had been stolen.
It was parked at the SHERATON by the airport in a lot ‘protected’ by a security guard who claims to have seen ‘nothing’.
Somehow the UHAUL was taken by thieves who were ‘unseen’ while going through the process of unlatching a hitched car breaking into the UHAUL and drive away from the «protected lot» unseen.

I needed a hotel to book rooms for my family for my wedding ceremony. Being in the Army, I was the only one here, so both sides of the family flew in. My husband and I (got married by the Magistrate, but family insisted on a ceremony) wanted to forgo traditional decorations and flowers and spent the money on paying for the hotel for our family. I called around to the local hotels, and Four Points Sheraton quoted a price that was about $ 30 less than the surrounding nicer hotels.
They were very accommodating, the place was new and clean, and all our family who stayed there loved the beds!!! They were awesome.
Here’s some of the reasons we loved staying there!
1. The one weekend where it rained and was cold, of course! The best man’s room sprung a leak, and they quickly upgraded him into a suite.
2. The comped a suite for me and my husband and had a bouquet of flowers with a thank you card for us waiting in the room. We ended up staying an extra night, and they charged us for the group rate.
3. They reserved the patio for us after the wedding ceremony/​reception, put up lights (white christmas lights), and gave us happy hour prices until the bar closed!
4. really went out of there way to meet all the bridezilla requests :)
5. Free shuttle to and from the airport
The staff tried really hard to make all my guests feel welcome and comfortable!
I would definitely stay here again! and if I need to host a large group of out of towners, I would definitely call them up! Thank you Liz and Jackie!!!

First time here, looks like a new property. The staff are very friendly, continued to address me by name well after checkin, heck I can’t remember names and that is impressive to me.
Dining as in most hotels always lacking but they make up for it with many nearby dining establishments, two next to hotel. Oh and if you have forgotten something, well Walmart is around the corner, literally.
Nice pool, hot tube and fitness room. Wish they had a club room but alas they do not for us Gold members.
Check this place out, easy access on and off freeway.

Overall we had a nice stay at the Four Points near the San Antonio airport.
It was centrally located for the places we were looking to go, so we never had a very long drive. Whether it was downtown, Six Flags, SeaWorld, the zoo, or anywhere else, we drove no more than 20 minutes or so.
The hotel seems to be fairly new and the rooms were fresh. Everything looked clean.
Free wi-​fi throughout the hotel that was fairly stable and fast.
One complaint I did have was that the hotel was having trouble keeping up with the demand for towels. With two adults and three children, we had trouble getting towels on more than one occasion.
As a Starwood rewards member I was given a poker chip that granted me buy one get one free beer at the bar. Two beers came out to be around $ 4. Pretty reasonable.
Be sure to check their website for special offers; our rate was lower than the standard rate and included free breakfast for the kids when the adults dined at the restaurant. Speaking of, the breakfast buffet was $ 9 or so per person. Not bad for a hotel. The food was good but nothing exceptional.
One other thing; if you have toddlers who are too big for a pack and play, the hotel does not have bed rails.
There’s a Walmart two blocks away and restaurants and the North Star mall just down the road.
I would stay here again.
