1800 Broadway Apartments

Well I have lived here for over a year and like any apartment complex there are good and bad things. Number 1 is for sure the amenities… hands down fantastic. nice wading area in the pool with chairs in the summer, great grills free fueled and ready to go, comfortable relaxation area and good workout room, plus washer/​dryer in the apartments themselves. everything you could want this gets them a star.
People in the office are generally helpful with little problems. Need an AC filter or drain unclogged they will get it done and put a work order for you ASAP; but anything big there are major issues. Might be just every apartment complex in existence but I have had serious management problems in just 1 yr. (read below).

The people… not the best. Everyone is pretty unfriendly, maybe it was just my floor, but when I say hello to residents in the halls, a cold stare and quick glance at the ground were usually how my greeting was met. Expect no super friendly atmosphere here. –1star
keyfobs keyfobs keyfobs… to get everywhere. Yes it secures the place but it is a little overkill when you get trapped in the garage or hallways and have no way to get back to your apartment to even get the fob you forgot. –1star
my experience… any major issue the office is simply going to ignore or try and rout the complaint. We had water coming in every time it rained down the blinds. Tell the office they say we will send up contractors… never did. talked to them 3 separate months in a row got the same roundabout response every time…
But wait there is more… at one point I was sent an email that proclaimed I had an illegal pet that urinated on the hallway wall and I was to be charged for replacing said wall… I know what your thinking… WHAT???; but I assure you after a few phonecalls this did get resolved and dropped. Apparently the guy that cleans the halls can basically walk in the office and say «a random person’s dog was seen peeing on the wall» and his testimony is enough to warrant a email informing me that it was my fault. I have no pets, I was not even in town when the incident occurred and was working… the office did drop it but only after I told them to get a crew in their to search my apartment for any kind of dog hair or evidence of a pet or illegal entry…
Multiple problems with paying your rent online… also an fyi their portal that you pay online with will not take into account any prorated rent for move in/​move out, so be prepared for a late fee charge if you can not mail them a check/​money order in time if your out of state when that last months rent comes in on the first. –1star

This place has awesome amenities! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful! There are community events from time to time, and its walking distance to just about everything in the downtown area! The biggest plus is that you have access to the commons areas until 10pm! Most places are only open during their business hours… not here! It’s great!
