Every time we call this location they never answer the phone. A actual answering machine actually picks up! Tried again today to place a order since 8pm «surprise surprise» answering machine –again…Still no answer!!! Ridiculous! Unacceptable way to run a business!

It’s been a while since I’ve been to D’Angelos, but got a mailer and used a $ 2 off coupon, so what the heck. Picked up the steak #9 and its just as I remembered it. The taste was great. My only complaint is that it does seem a bit pricey. Even with the $ 2 off, I think the corporation can reduce their prices.

My wife and I visited D’angelo’s in Salem, NH yesterday afternoon(8.9.15) for lunch. Having spent upwards of 40+ years here in the Boston area, I still remember the great sandwiches — full of filling with«lean» bread and great service. That was long ago. My reason for this visit was caused by the memory of those earlier good experiences. Those days are gone — the company’s quality and portion size continues to decline. Yesterday my wife ordered the Lobster Roll. She was surprised at how little lobster it contained. In fact, she returned the sandwich to the store manager explaining that a lobster roll is supposed to contain lobster — right? Myself, I had the tried-and-true«Steak and Cheese». I remember that sandwich as one of the best the restaurant chain did. This time out, the bread was thick. It was full of soft breading making the sandwich look larger in proportion. Then they put the cooked steak and cheese. Unfortunately, the excessive bread and the TINY portion of steak-and-cheese caused the sandwich to taste more like a «bread sandwich» than anything else. This was my wife and my first trip back to D’angelos over the past 2 years. We continue to hope that the powers that be will recognize the customer reaction(not returning) and do something to bring back both their quality and product portions. Maybe we’ll wait another 2-or-3 years to try it again. Somehow I think this«sequence» of deteriorating product quality and portion size will continue — maybe escalating until which time there is no longer a D’angelos. That would be a real shame.

I work in Salem at a high tech company. This is one of the best places for lunch. The place is clean, the food is always fresh and well prepared. Most importantly when you don’t have much time for lunch, the place is well run and the people are friendly and efficient. Way better that the competition across the street!

If you want to go to a rough dinner. you may love a dinner theater but If you want to go for peace think again. The gm is one of the most demeaning bosses anyone could possibly work for on this planet. Treats her crew like dirt. There is nothing you do thay pleases this woman. You give 110 percent of your energy to make things more inviting and profitable and you would think she would be happy and help you grow but think again my friends she is all about her. Very very hostile environment to work in and most of all eat in. So If you want to watch a human being beaten verbally, and I gm throw pans and slam through doors.365 South broadway is your place. But if you won’t stand for this do not go.

Always looking for something quick and somewhat healthy, I don’t know why I don’t frequent this place more often. The place is clean and the staff is pleasant. It’s kind of silly that they bring you your sub but it’s a nicety that most places don’t do. Kudos to them for thinking outside the box. I had the Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad and it was very tasty! The sandwich and a drink; less than 10 bucks. a decent deal. Fifteen minutes from ordering, eating & then whammo — out the door!

I prefer the bread rolls at D’Angelos over other sub shops. This is a dependable sandwich shop in my opinion. Have never had a bad sub here. My favorite: small tuna with onion and tomato.

We rarely eat at chain restaurants… but one of my favorites from a long time ago is the #9(steak and cheese/bomb). I had to get me and my sister something quick and easy for lunch. We decided to split a #9. It’s still as good as it ever was! She is also a fan of the baked stuffed lobster and lobster rolls here.

This D’angelo’s is newly renovated and just fabulous for a sandwich shop. When my friend Alan was in town last week we stopped here for a quick lunch. I had the turkey sub which was stuffed with moist turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. So filling and good! All new and fresh inside, the staff were quick and efficient and even brought our sandwiches out to the table. A nice young cutie was working and he seemed to appreciate the smiles and pleasantries on this quiet weekday. Alan and I will come back again!
