Writing a Unilocal review for a chain restaurant is a questionable use of time, but I’m going to do it anyway. Over the holiday I was driving south from New Hampshire to an overpriced hotel near Logan Airport. I was facing a 3 A.M. wake-up call(another story) and wanted to maximize my «sheet» time. In addition to a fuel stop for the rental car, I needed something quick and easy for dinner. Subway works for that! It was right next to the Circle K. There was plenty of socializing going on between the staff and the people who worked at the other places, but that didn’t harm the process. My sandwich was made quickly and the guy was very courteous. Good job! No more than ten minutes for gas and dinner. Burp.

Since moving to the area I’ve come here several times. While the staff is nice enough I’ve experienced issues nearly every visit. Each time when they ask what you’d like if you say for instance 6 inch whole wheat roast beef and provolone, toasted and nothing else. They will grab the piece of bread and ask which type of meat. So you repeat roast beef. Then they will ask what type of cheese. And when you get to the toppings and you say nothing, they ask if you want sauce. I’ve avoided asking for sauce because in the past at this location I’ve asked for once sauce and they point on a spicy sauce instead. Also if you ask for a 3in breakfast sandwich they look quite surprised at you and ask if that means we want them to cut a 6in in half. To which you point to the sign behind them featuring the 3in, they check with a manager and say oh ok. Then they ask of you’d like a 6 inch instead for only this much more. To which you say no, it’s not about money, I come to subway to healthy and that often includes watching the amount of calories or bread you intake. Hopefully in the future the store conducts more training to help the employees and the store reach it’s potential and follow the brand guidelines.
