So Disappointing the food was not like I remembered and a smaller size! Lunch was small! Dessert was smaller! The paintings did not match the house! First time I went and it was not busy with little tiny salads and little desserts and a big BIG check. And I was sad I brought a guest, Please get it together it is a great place to share lunch, showers and get togethers.

Excellent food and always a great place to gather. It is expensive for what you get. I had a small portion of a pot pie casserole and a side. It was 11.79. So a bit pricey but if you get a salad you will be okay. Their chai tea latte is a great holiday drink.

We had heard good things, so we decided to try it for Sunday brunch. Sadly, we were very underwhelmed with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I got the scrambled eggs and my wife got the French toast. My scrambled eggs were mushy and overpriced. They didn’t come with anything besides the eggs and two very meager slices of bacon. My wife’s French toast was soggy and the «maple syrup» was artificial. There was a baby shower going on in the room in which we were seated and the noise was disruptive to a nice brunch. The service was very slow — particularly in getting our check. It took a half an hour from the time we were done eating to when we finally had the check to sign and could finally leave. We won’t be back.

Great service was very good. The atmosphere is nice. They are accommodating to families with seating and the menu. The quiche was very good and the serving sizes are good for a light lunch. I would definitely come back and would recommend anyone that is in the area to stop by and eat here.

This place is amazing!!! Their food is wonderful, but the atmosphere is even better! we went on a busy Saturday and experienced it all! There was a large baby shower in one of the rooms, the other two rooms were full with different sized parties, from 10 people to two, it looked like everyone was enjoying their time. There was even an adorable princess party in the upstairs room and they marched down the stairs like royalty, during what they called a «fashion show.» The staff is extremely polite and friendly and made us feel like family. The hostess greeted us as we had been friends for 10 years. The only bad thing is there is only one bathroom on the main floor, so the line got long and I had to make the trek up the stairs. There were shops up there, which was kind of cool. I can’t wait to go back later on in spring to try the Chocolate Strawberry Pie the staff raved about.

WOW!!! I recently had an absolutely delightful experience at Miss Aimee B’s. Their desserts are to DIE FOR!!! I had a slice of their seasonal chocolate strawberry pie… AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend it to any out of towners or locals who have never been. It is an incredibly unique dining experience with delicious homemade food and wonderful staff. I simply could not have asked for more! I will definitely be going back again and again just so I can try everything on the menu! To top it all off, they have amazing artwork on display from local artists and also an array of unique treasures to peruse! You’ve gotta stop by this place!

Best roast beef sandwich I have ever had. Only complaint is that we attended on a Saturday afternoon during peak traffic times. Staff was overwhelmed and as a result acted rude. Service was very slow, but the food was outstanding and receives full marks in my book.

I’ve eaten here multiple times and attended a wedding here.
The food is AMAZING! The quiche was moist and tasty. The dinner at the wedding was very nicely presented and tasted delectable. Their homemade lemonade is the best I’ve had! (I have not had the tea service.)
The establishment is gorgeous and is a nice place for a lunch date.

We came for a bridal luncheon, and it was such a perfect place! I had been here a few times before and the food is always great. You can’t go wrong with any of the quiches, and you must get the buttermilk coconut pie. Right now the seasonal cheesecake is carrot cake, and it is amazing! Service is always wonderful too. Can’t wait to come back soon!

New owners have bought this restaurant and it has lost its charm. This restaurant is in a historic building and used to have beautiful, old wallpaper that lined the walls. Now, the new owners have painted the walls and put ugly paintings up from their shows. When we went in, they were all the same repeat pictures of Mark Twain — one was bedazzled — very bizarre. The point of the restaurant was its charm and now it is gone. It used to be packed with ladies! We were the only customers there. Sad to say, but I suspect this place will close in a year or two. The menu and staff are the same, good food and friendly staff — but the charm is simply gone. Will not go back again.

Stopped in for lunch with colleagues. Wonderful service and even more delicious food! Be sure to save room for dessert! The «chocolate chip cookie pie» is amazing! Will definitely be back for more (and mimosas).

I have been to Miss Aimee B’s twice, once for a baby shower and once for a regular lunch. It’s such a wonderful place for both!
For the baby shower, we reserved two of the connecting rooms, and the setup was done wonderfully. It was decorated for the holidays, and they even put a display in one of the corners specifically for the gift table. It was completed early enough for the shower organizers to come in and set out their own favors, etc., at each plate. Attendees that came in were greeted by a friendly hostess and allowed to choose their own seats. The food was brought out during the party without any disruption in the games, gift opening, etc. Drinks were filled in the same stealth method. We had sandwiches and dessert, and everything was very tasty.
When I went for lunch, it was just about the same, but with an individual table and menu instead of a pre-​planned agenda. There was the same friendly and attentive service, and the same great food. Even though there were a lot of tables in each room, it did not feel crowded. We took advantage of our time while waiting for a table to shop in their little boutiques upstairs.
Both experiences were very pleasant, and I would definitely go back.

Wonderful! My sister and I decided to try out Miss Aimee B’s after seeing some of the reviews. We typically go to Josephine’s out in Illinois but didn’t want to drive so far today. I was surprised that on a Saturday afternoon we were able to walk right in and sit down without a wait. Josephine’s even with a reservation you end up waiting for a long time because of how busy it is. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day and it was very nice, the trees around the patio made a great scenery as well as provided a perfect amount of shade. The server and hostess were both PHENOMENAL! I don’t know that last time I had such great service. We took my 3 year old nephew with us and they were so nice to offer him crayons and a coloring sheet (they even gave him a blank page because all they had was girly stuff) the hostess even brought him a little toy car to play with too. As far as the food goes, I ordered the Cranberry Walnut Salad with the Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. I chose the Mandarin Peach tea (I was not brave enough to try the lemonade something about milk being in it weird me out a bit) It was delicious, I loved the mixed greens and was pleasantly surprised by the dressing, I expected an oily dressing but it was a delicious creamy dressing that complimented the salad. My sister had the Fuji Ham sandwich which she enjoyed as well. The prices are a little more expensive but for the service you receive it is worth it. I can’t wait to go back! This adorable tea room is in St. Charles. I do not go to St. Charles. But I am sold on going back to Aimee B’s. This place has been around for a long time. Generations of women bring their daughters to this sweet, little restaurant.
I went for a bridal shower so the menu was somewhat prix fixe with a few options for apps, main dish and dessert. However, the extended menu is huge! I had the the baked chicken salad which is basically a quiche that tastes like chicken salad… and heaven. I choose their house mac & cheese made with homemade cheese sauce. I was about to lick the plate but remembered this is a tea room not a bar room. I ended with a chocolate mousse topped with strawberries and whip cream.
Seriously amazing as a destination for you city folk for a nice meal. And this is not some stuffy, white glove place. Shorts and flip flops are okay. So, gas up the car and head to the Chaz for Aimee B’s!

As much as I wanted to like this place… it was difficult. It’s basically more of a tourist attraction than an actual tea room. Doesn’t mean it’s bad just not for me. :(
Heard about it on Unilocal app and also saw it driving by a few times. I wanted to go on a Sunday for tea but discovered they are closed on Sundays… oh man, that should have been the first warning sign that this place is NOT a true «tea room.» :-(
Went in today (Saturday) for lunch at around noon ish. It was definitely busy but not packed. Wanted to sit outside because it was a nice day but Sean preferred indoors so we went inside. It smelled like… a nursing home which was kind of unappetizing to me. Maybe they use the same floor cleaners as the one my grandparents had lived in? Either way it smelled weird. We were seated in a corner which didn’t really bother me. The room only had one other table filled and it was… you guessed it… senior citizens. LOL. Sean opted for a classic BLT (he had to ask for it that way, the one on the menu had other stuff on it he didn’t want like beets and cucumbers or something.) I ordered half a chicken salad sandwich and half mac n cheese. The waitress was very friendly and polite by the way. When I asked her for the tea menu she looked confused and said they didn’t have one. Whut? No tea menu? But you have the words «TEA ROOM» in your name. How can you not have a tea menu?! Instead she brought out a wooden box filled with a tea that you can get in the grocery store in presealed baggies… what is this, I don’t even – ! :(I was very disappointed.
While we waited for our food, I decided to go upstairs to browse the shop. Uhh, everything up there is very touristy nic-​nac-​y. I didn’t really see anything I’d buy for myself except for maybe a turquoise ring. I DID buy my mom a turquoise necklace because she loves turquoise. It was only $ 15 «half off» of $ 30 originally. Most of the other jewelry I saw looked like cheap stuff from China, similar to what most of the other shops sell on Main Street. I guess I was just hoping for something a little more unique or original like pieces made by local artists and craftspeople. Sadly, not the case here. The other shops upstairs were similar but sold mostly home furnishings and other misc gifts. I did see some really cute tea cups and pots for sale but none of them were matching sets, so I didn’t really want mis matched stuff. The prices seemed fair though like $ 25 for a really nice porcelain tea pot with one matching cup and sauce and a stand. But I wanted more than just one cup and saucer so I didn’t buy anything. Sad! :(I think the woman mentioned it was a consignment shop though so maybe that’s why.
When I had arrived back at the table, the food still wasn’t there. We probably waited about 25 to 30 minutes to get our lunch which is kind of ridiculous in my opinion. When we finally did get it, my mac n cheese was more like alfredo with too many bread crumbs and it was COLD. Cold and dry and sticky and gross. I could not stomach to eat it. It didn’t really taste much like cheese either just flour, cream, bread crumbs, and pasta.
The chicken salad sandwich, on the other hand, tasted really fresh and delicious. The croissant was not stale but fresh! They put WAY too much mayo on it and the sandwich Sean ordered too. Hmm. Maybe next time I’d ask them to go very light on the mayo. The waitress did notice I didn’t touch the mac n cheese so she took it off the bill and even offered to bring me a new side but I told her not to bother because the sandwich filled me up.
I must say the service is really good here, can’t complain there. Everyone I talked to was sweet and helpful, but the menu leaves something to be desired and the gift shop was just kind of all over the place. My suggestions to them would be to get tea from a LOCAL shop like the Spice Shoppe on Main Street. Hell, even Teavana tea or Adaggio tea would be better than the generic supermarket tea they had. I mean, just look at what the London Tea Room sells, you can’t buy that stuff anywhere else, even!
Also for their upstairs shop, make it less cluttered with useless junk and maybe get some local unique pieces up there be it artwork, jewelry, or furniture. Even a wine shop would be cool but they’d probably need a special license for that. I see they had books and cookbooks for sale but they were just laying around randomly, why not organize all the books in one section? I don’t know. It just seemed like an old lady’s garage sale in the upstairs of a beautiful historic home which saddened me greatly.
I think I’d return but not anytime soon. I’d rather make the drive to the city for the London Tea Room. They don’t even serve high tea or afternoon tea here. :(

Surprised no has done a review on this old fashion place. Good food and great place to take Mom.
A landmark in St Charles.

I have taken my Grandmother here twice, the first time was many years ago and the second was most recently, on the second trip my Grandfather joined us. The services was great, the food was just okay, the Hungarian mushroom soup had whole button mushrooms floating in a brother that reminded me of dishwater.
The Waldorf salad was rather delicious and frankly I must say that might have been the best part of the meal.
I would go again only b/​c I believe in giving bad experience another chance to redeem themselves. And the store is quite cute!

Nice lunch, but would prefer to have options of an afternoon tea type.

First of all, the lemonade is to die for. I love it and it is a huge treat each time I get to indulge. I have been here for lunch and also bridal and baby showers, but this was the first time for breakfast.
Each of us had the Aimee B’s pancake and eggs Benedict signature item. The pancake is not your traditional pancake. It is more like a thin piece of bread in the shape of a piece of pizza with fruit, whipped cream and your choice of sauce: syrup, raspberry, chocolate or caramel. My favorites were raspberry and caramel.
I do not drink coffee, espresso, etc. but the other ladies do, so they each had a huge cup of something that looked really pretty and they both said it was good. I’ll take their word for it.
The service was excellent. We had a hard time deciding which sauces to try, so the server just offered to bring us each. She was very pleasant and definitely delivered service with a smile. This is the perfect place for a quaint gathering amongst close friends. Our breakfast was a work breakfast and I thought this would be a nice place to host out-​of-​towners. We all enjoyed it!
The original structure was a home built in the 1860’s and has been converted into this charming Tea House. Parking-​o-​plenty is in the back.
Don’t forget to try the lemonade! And get the large :)

The boy’s mom hosted a baby shower here for the boy’s sister (follow that?) last weekend and it was an A+ event.
The space, service, and food (especially the chocolate cupcakes) was excellent. Big thanks to Evelyn for taking such good care of our party!
