Ordered food for two, took home, one bite and straight into the waste disposal it went. Really disappointed and with better options just down the road its worth the drive for better quality. With attention to detail a Chinese take out in the crossings area should be able to clean up. This is a growing area populated by folks with decent incomes. The place should be a gold mine for the owner.

Pretty decent Chinese food. Vegetables were fresh and there was a lot of protein. No msg and the dishes weren’t salty. The egg roll was really good. Had the pork lo Mein and triple delight= large portions and fair prices. I’ve had worse Chinese food in Chicago and few places better so this place being in a strip mall up in St. Charles= thumbs up

It is your typical Americanized Chinese fast food place. I have not been wowed or disappointed. I order take out often and it is what I would expect for the price and type of place. My family has always been satisfied by the take-out and VERY friendly service. Will continue to be a customer as I live local and food is good, good portions and nice owners…

Just awful! Would not order from here again. Would rather drive across town to Schewan’s or Liu’s. They could not even get our Oder correct and very bland, greasy food.

Very average. Food really didn’t meet the standards I was looking for. Ordered sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, crab rangoon, teriyaki skewers, pork egg rolls. The egg rolls were good, but everything else was bland and not enjoyable to eat. The chicken fried rice was especially disappointing.

Not impressed. I asked myself ‘would I go back?” and my honest answer is that I would look elsewhere first with this being the absolute last resort. The food here wasn’t horrible, but it was far from the best carry out Chinese I’ve bad. I’m new to the area and hope there is a better alternative not too far away. As for the actual food, I just didnt like it. It seemed like cheap ingredients and didn’t have much taste. A few times I hat to spit out pieces of fat from the chicken or hard to chew pieces(cartilage?). Oh, and I almost forgot. The fried rice was not fried rice. It was like some sort of yellow curry rice. I’ve never had such weird fried rice from a Chinese place, I wasted my money on this particular item.

Consistently good food for take-out. Great prices on lunch specials.

China Garden is by far the best Chinese take out place in the area. I’m a huge fan of the sesame chicken and the Mongolian delight which has beef chicken and shrimp in it. The portions are even bigger in the restaurant too if you plan on dining in, although most don’t. It’s never blown me away, but it blows away local competition for sure! Check it out if you haven’t!

Below average, like a little below your typical mall Chinese food. The fried rice is yellow and their food is not very good. I live close by and I drive to Elgin for Chinese food, so that should tell you something… Maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t have a good Chinese place so close to my house.

If you live the area, this is the best. Its quick, good, and consistent. If you want to compare it to gourmet or high end restaurants, then you are off base. Our family does their online ordering, which is the way to go… good coupons!!!

We tried this place for the first time today and we definitely enjoyed it. We ordered online and the food was ready just a few minutes later than we requested it be ready. The hot things were hot and the crisp things were crisp. Everything was seasoned nicely and tasted great! We would definitely eat here again.

I am very surprised to see the wealth of good reviews here. My first, and what will be only visit, was pretty terrible. To lay it out: 1.) No soy sauce, duck sauce OR fortune cookies were given, kind of a big deal if your customer orders white rice. 2.) The sweet + sour pork, while not an impressive dish at most Chinese restaraunts around, was borderline inedible. Luke warm, the«cherry sauce» A. Lacked cherries completely, and B. Tasted like a melted snow cone with some corn syrup added — very gross. My mom barely ate any of her meal either, which to my eyes looked horrible as well. The ordering was confusing, and even funnier is that our order was called in ahead of time — and I still had to wait 10 minutes for it to be ready. Really, it’s pretty bad. It made the garbage Chinese restaurant I thought was«meh» in college look glorious. You’re running a risk of a terrible meal eating here.

For la fox and 64 it’s 5 stars. Its even better than most Chinese food joints within 10 miles. Give them a try and support the local restaurant. Let’s be real

Great place, great food, and very friendly owners. They always make our food the way we ask and its always good. We take out food from there often and the owner of the restaurant knows exactly what not to put in my food since I don’t eat certain things. They are very accommodating and quick. I commander them hands down.

Just finished our take out. Not good. The egg rolls were greasy and the mustard packs they gave us were old — the mustard was gelatinous. No sweet and sour was available. The crispy pieces of wonton for the hot and sour soup were stale. The sesame chicken was mostly dark meat, very fatty and the pork fried rice was yellow and the pork looked like it was just cut up pieces of canned pork — Spam anyone? The moo shu pork was the only thing I could really eat. After I placed the order I was worried they may use MSG, now I’m less worried about that and more about what I may have actually ingested. Please note — I’m not a regular disgruntled, complainer on Unilocal, you know the type that’s never satisfied — I love trying new places and I’m always hoping for a good experience, however, when it’s as disappointing as this was, I feel it’s only fair to warn fellow Unilocalers.

It’s a local Chinese takeout for me. The next one is a few miles farther away. In order for me not to make this longer drive, the take out here has to equal or be better. It is. Actually, slightly better. I usually order a Spring Roll and Kung Pao Chicken. The Spring Roll is crisp, not soggy. The Chicken Kung Pao could be slightly spicier but is fine. The vegetables are crisp. The chicken is cooked about right. All in all, good.

Good for the area. We have ordered from here about a dozen or so times. This past time, the food was really improved — we always get general tso’s chicken — moist, tasty. The steamed dumplings seemed hand made. The spring rolls were really good. Hope they keep it up. Great for take out — really fast.

My family and I order take out from here at least once a month on a busy night and it is fantastic. My favorite is the mu-shu pork and the egg rolls. The little ones like the sweet and sour chicken because it is like Chinese chicken nuggets with Chinese ketchup. Service is good, and sometimes they give us free crab rangoons. Took a star off because the quality has gone down as well as the consistency.
