The front desk staff was very nice. Check in was quick and easy. But inside the room the floor is horrifically stained and tiny ants are all over the wall and bathroom sink. There was a hair on the toilet seat. Also I started itching quite badly in the bed from the first few minutes I was laying down. I’m not saying it’s bed bugs, but my skin is crawling right now.

Love this hotel. You get what you pay for. It’s inexpensive but clean, has everything you need, close to the beach and public pier and extra friendly staff. It’s not the Ritz but it’s a good deal for the money. We’ve stayed 4 times and never been disappointed.

I booked this room through my corporate travel services, and got a great rate. I have never stayed here before, but have stayed at the Super 8 (which is all but right beside the Regency… Salt Life restaurant separates them).
Comparatively, the Regency is no better or worse than the other hotels on the beach. It was clean (didn’t smell moldy), and the bed was comfortable.
We didn’t have any special needs, or requests, and our stay was only one night. So, I can’t really speak to how this place would be for a multiple-night stay for vacationers. But I can’t imagine it would be much different than the experience I had.
The staff was polite, and friendly. The room was clean. There was ample parking.

Worth the dinero. Not fancy, not shabby. Worth the money. We booked here because of proximity to the pier, and you can’t beat it for that. I will book here again.

The accommodations are adequate for the price. Convenient to the beach and easy to travel to the city from here. Quiet, sits back off the street. Offers breakfast, very simple but a nice feature. Room did smell of mold. Bed was pretty comfortable and clean. Parking was limited so that was an inconvenience. Gas station/convenience store close for ice, snacks etc. Requested a later check out time due to need for refrigerator for medications while finishing g up our sight seeing. Was offered an unsecured spot in breakfast area or could pay $ 10 an hour to retain room access. We decided to just purchase a cooler for $ 15 at walmart instead. All in all you get what you pay for. It was lodging with no frills and minimal attention to needs from service staff.

I stayed 1 nite. All i could handle! The smell of mold made me sick. Could see mold popping under the paint in corners. Couldnt hardly breath next morning. Checked another room next day. The smell of chemical was overwhelming. Took couple days to clear. Not very friendly. 0 STAR!!!

I guess for the price, it’s not that bad…
Location is great, right by the beach and bars /restaurants and staff is quite nice
Room size was big and having a jacuzzi was really nice!
What we didn’t like at all was to see more than 10 bugs /little roaches in our bedroom, hiding here and there…
Other thing, the mattress that was extremely hard, not comfortable at all :(
If we ever come back to St Augustine, I dont think that we will stay there again

The Hotel was Extremely clean and the staff was super nice and friendly. Beds were nice and firm with wonderful fluffy pillows. Showers were hot with great pressure. Directly across the street from the beach you can literally walk to dip in the ocean or catch an amazing sunrise. Breakfast was sparce but coffee was hot and delicious. Starbucks only 2 miles away & close to restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is great. The location is wonderful and the staff is very helpful. The pool was excellent! My kids loved it. It is seriously heated! It’s a simple no frills place to stay. It was clean place to sleep and that’s all we needed. I would definitely stay again!
