What can I say? This 2nd Starbread location at Mack Road in South Sacramento has it all by bringing their fabulous Filipino pastries especially their most signature favorite: the Señorita bread. Before I headed back home that night on 1÷27÷2016, I decided to come to this place to get my Señorita bread mania going. As I entered their doors, the atmosphere and the concept remain the same just like the North Natomas location, yet it’s very small inside in a tiny, small entrance space. The employees which includes a cashier and bakers are doing a great job for making the customers like me a friendly service! No cons at all. Now onto the finest food of all! I ordered 10 pieces of Señorita bread inside a small box to go. As I ate it, that bread tasted remarkably good! Much similar flavors compared to the North Natomas location. Such a great snack meal! They do accept cash and credit cards here although if you want to pay it with your card, this place needs a minimum purchase of $ 6+ to pay. It’s quite a purchasing differences here for targeting the minimum balance, but I don’t mind it at all about because I have no problems for figuring this payment situation. There’s plenty of parking spaces available, so you can park anywhere you want near or far. In the end, Starbread at Mack Road in South Sacramento is a great additional local Filipino bakery shop that I really enjoyed the most of that Señorita bread! Perfect for snack breaks! A well, worthy visit! My rating: 4 ½ stars.

If you have never experienced(and it is truly an experience) the señorita bread from here you are missing out. I was first introduced to this delicious treat by a co-worker who brought a box to work and I, and the rest of our co-workers, have been hooked ever since. I imagine this establishment offers other things for sale, but I have only come here(and I have driven here from both Roseville and Fair Oaks) for the señorita bread because it is that good!

On days I’m able to pick my son up from school, we like to ride our bikes to Starbread. We like to get the ham and cheese or hot dog pastries and a couple lumpia. When my little man is a big man, its going to bring a lot of nostalgia when he comes and visits his old man. Also, hot girls dig señorita bread. They love when you bring it to the office! :D

By far one of my most favorite treats in Sacramento! These breads are always fresh, hot and taste delicious! We also buy the ones filled with Nutella which in my opinion are not as amazing as the original star bread, but they sure are a home run for the kids! Not only is the bread amazing but so is their service! You will be coming back for more to say the least!

The señorita bread is good and the price is more than reasonable. I always buy 20+ pieces(most of them for me, oops) but every time I order I seem to get inconsistent batches of bread. On one day I can get bread that is perfectly baked with the right amount of the sugar-butter filling. On another day I can receive an order that has bread with too much sugar-butter filling with some bread that seems too soft(NOT undercooked but bread that would need an extra minute or two of baking) and some that are a bit on the overbaked side(NOT burnt, just overbaked). Expect inconsistent batches when you buy the bread. They also serve the bread to you fresh out of the oven — I’ve never received a batch of bread that was warm or have cooled.

This place is amazingly delicious. You can eat 20 pieces without even knowing it. It’s super warm and fresh when you order it !!

Señorita bread is addicting. Reasonable priced baked goods that will have you coming back for more. I swear they put something in they’re bread to lure you back. Great service with a friendly staff. Tried some of their other baked goods but you can never go wrong with the señorita bread.

Sooooooo worth the drive. Better get yourself some before they realize they put crack inside the bread… They have to, it’s not possible for sugar and butter and flour and yeast to be blended in a way that induces dead silence as you sit in your car gorging on roll after roll…

Be patient, the line will move… quickly Don’t be surprised when you park and as you make your way to the storefront you’ll see the line 20 folks deep, and snaking on the sidewalk. Most folks come here for the señorita bread, but you can buy lumpia, pork rinds, and a plethora of baked sweet goodies.

Addicted to fresh Señorita aka fluffy fresh out the oven buttery pastry! Vibe It was just one of those days, its unplanned and so random, yet with a adventurous tastebud. I was in the area craving for some sweet stuff after my lunch. Since i have heard about this place, but never come to visit since i got friends who usually buy it and delivers it to me. lol yea fancy like that. Well i figure i come in here and experience it myself. Layout It is hot inside, with blowing fans to cool you down. There is no indoor seating at all. Once you walk in, you will eye on the wall full of white boxes, waiting for you ti fill up with señoritas. Next is the display case with the other delicious ube, and sticky rice balls, and etc. Next is a prices for the señorita. PRICE /Señorita The least amount you can get is 5 pcs for $ 2 or up to 55 pcs for like $ 20 i think. Anyways the more the better! Of course i was on some what of a control, so i limit myself 5 pcs and guess what? it was so good they were gone in 5 mins. I timed myself one per minute ha. Anyways omg, soft and fluffy and buttery and sugary, just major foodgasm! Definitely worth a visit and you won’t be disappointed. It does remind me of pig in a blanket, but nothing in the middle, but on the bottom is a shiny coating like sugar, or honey, but it is not too sweet. i wish i can just get less than 5 pcs, but that the least amount. Overall You will fall in love on the first bite with the señorita! try it, no regret. Do something amazing everyday. Thanks for reading.

Obviously, get the seniorita bread. These delicious treats should come with a warning like Lay’s chips – you can’t eat just one! Yummy soft freshly baked bread rolls with a piping hot concoction of butter and sugar inside. It’s best eaten asap. I can usually wait until I’m at least in my car lol. Just be careful you don’t burn your tongue! And make sure to have napkins on hand. Good to know: $ 6 minimum for credit card purchases.(You can get a box of 25 rolls for $ 10 – they go fast!). They sell other Filipino baked goods as well. I’ve tried their Ube filled rolls and they were ok, but I have stuck with the senioritas since then.

While driving through Sacramento toward Chico, California, we stopped by Starbread Bakery on Mack Road. A few of my Unilocal friends recommended the señorita breads as a must try. We arrived in the parking lot around 6:40AM. They’re sign says that they open at 7:00AM. However, at 6:45AM, they allowed us in. I purchased 60 pieces of señorita bread. They brought it to me from the back piping hot. At the time, their sales terminal was having issues, so they only took cash. Now to the bread: By all means, these bread looked good, and tasted even better. It tasted like soft warm sweet dinner rolls. The only issue is the consistency of each one. Some had a lot of butter dripping as you took a big bite. Others just made your fingers oily. The bottom line is, its all good. As a Unilocal friend recommended to me, señorita breads are good, but not 3 hour drive to eat good. If you are near a Starbread bakery, I urge you to get some. If you live further away, wait until you happen to pass near one.

So I google«best señorita bread» and Starbread popped up. Since I live in Elk Grove I decided to take drive down to Mack and get some. OMG best decision I’ve ever made! I loved it, it was ever so perfectly warm and fluffy! Perfect to say the least. My family loved it as they have never had it before. 2 dollars for every 5 pieces! Great price. I also got some lumpia! It was piping hot and just amazing! I will definitely be back to this place.

The star of this bakery is definitely the señorita bread which has drawn the attention of many of late. It is a buttery sugary but not overly sweet pastry that can be addicting. It is also super cheap as well as the other Filipino baked goods in the bakery. It is a tiny little shop but has a lot of goodies not for anyone on a diet. Friendly service and super clean and organized.

I feel like I need to write a longer review, even though this place already has lots of five star reviews. We just need to have a deeper discussion about señorita bread. This is serious business, guys. Let’s go back to the start. I was in the middle of my EMT program, and clinicals had started. This particular day I was spending a twelve hour shift at Kaiser, and was maybe 8 hours into my shift when one of the nurses bought in a huge box of something that looked similar to Pillsbury croissants. Everyone in the break room got excited and the ED tech I was following insisted I try one. No need to tell me twice. I was addicted immediately, obviously. Literally had a conversation with a couple other ED techs right after about how amazing these babies are. Warm, soft, buttery, sugary. Mm I need some. So now my boyfriend and I head over here regularly, or try to. It’s pretty out of the way which is probably just as well since these things probably are not something you should consume too often. However, as a special treat these are perfect. I love this little store. You can get lots of different quantities, I tend to go for the $ 6 for 15 and then proceed to eat 4 before I can even start my car. They are good heated up later too.

Call me crazy, but I really did not understand the craze over a BREAD bakery. I mean, how good could it be, right? I also couldn’t find any reviews that really told me what señorita bread was and I hadn’t been lucky enough to have ever tried this before. So I kept delaying my visit to this bakery… until today and boy, am I glad I made that quick trip on a happy Sunday morning! All the Unilocal craze is totally legit, señorita bread — in all its warm, simple, soft, buttery, sweet glory — is such a great treat! The clearest description I can give: señorita bread is like an ultra croissant-like soft hollow piece of bread, with gooey sugar lightly spread inside the bread. Hungry? You should be. At $ 2⁄5 bread pieces, this makes for a perfect potluck addition and I promise, your friends/colleagues will love you for enlightening them on «Sacramento’s specialty bread» as I called it! This bread NEEDS to be warm, so if it’s gotten cold(because somehow you’ve managed to not eat them all while they’re warm), be sure to microwave them for about 30 – 45 seconds(for a batch of 15) before serving! Final plus: Great customer service! The guy who took my order was really pleasant and I had the most interesting 2-minute small talk that was virtually possible about matching SF keys before he non-judgementally gave me my large batch of señorita bread + another 5 for my personal indulging.
