Salon Bravissimo

I have been coming to this salon for at least a decade. I have never been disappointed by any of their services, whether that be waxing, make up, haircut, color. Furthermore, Joy Ho is the best colorist that I have encountered ever. I have had my hair colored in Paris, San Francisco, Athens, Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing and elsewhere. Joy Ho is the best of them all. Would highly recommend this salon.

Horrible! I called and asked for an Ombré and a hair cut. They scheduled me with Linda. I get there and Linda says, she can’t do an Ombré bc my hair was a faded red. Seriously, I’ve had Ombres done when my hair was bright red?! She basically doesn’t know how to lift hair color. The cut was okay, not bad but I’ve had better. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I got referred here by a friend and two of my co-​workers wife. For last 12+ years I have been just trimming hair, no style or anything just straight line cut. For last few years i have been thinking of getting a short hair do. So I walked in with no appointment, the receptionist was very nice and friendly, I loved how clean and tidy the place was. Since i came in with no appointment, the manager was right there and she was going to get her hair done by a stylist at 7pm, she gave me the spot. My stylist was Linda, she was very friendly. I told her I wanted to go short and she advised me on a cut and we agreed on the length. She did the first cut and showed what style she was going for, gave me a hair wash and did the finishing cut followed by blow dry and little styling. All through out the process Linda kept talking and telling me what she was doing. I loved the fact that she listened to what i had to say and gave me a style which would look good. She used a product which smelled so good! I asked her to show me which product it was and to see how much it cost. Another thing they dont pressure you into buying their stuff. Super excited about finding this little gem! I cant wait to get my ombré look done now!

2 stars for friendly customer service. Poor rating for bad hair coloring. I know I have dark hair and going light requires sessions, but this «balayage ombré» should not be this blotchy or unblended. I was only visiting my family in sac and don’t have time to go back to get it fixed. There goes $ 200.

I’ve been using this salon for 9 years and have never been disappointed. I’ve used Kristen who is amazing. I’ve gotten compliments from random people on my haircuts and once got stopped twice in a week by people asking me who my hair stylist was. However, what makes this Salon amazing is that all the stylists are talented. I’ve had to get my hair cut by other people when Kristen gets busy, and they are all great! I’ve also used the aesthetician Nikki as well as the Lisa for manicures both whom make me feel like a million bucks. Sure, a manicure will cost more at a salon and so I didn’t do it often, but I think it is worth paying the extra money to know that the equipment is properly sterilized. This salon has a comfortable, relaxed ambience so that it doesn’t feel pretentious and a friendly staff who always greet you with a smile.

10/27/15…I LOVE my hair color! Thank You so Much LINDA… I was very unhappy with my hairstylist that I was going to prior from a different salon and discouraged on where and who to go to next! Linda was recommended by a friend. Not only did I get to make an appointment that fit my schedule, I also got to see Linda faster than I thought! I was searching on a Sunday evening, booked by Tuesday afternoon! Awesome! This salon is great! Friendly staff and very clean and nice establishment. Highly recommended. See you in 8 weeks Linda!

I have to say Courtney, did the best job on my hair! I have very dark roots and now My hair is back to a beautiful blond. Love it! Not to red, not ashy, not yellowy, not white, but a natural, soft blond. Thank you

I don’t remember the last time I HUGGED my stylist, but when Brittany NAILED what I told her I wanted in a cut. I did jump up and HUG HER! On my first visit!!!
Not only do I love my cut, but Brittany gave me the most incredible shampoo/​head massage experience ever … I would pay for just that never mind the cut!
I love the environment of the salon — everyone was smiling and engaging and welcoming. Salon Bravissimo is clean, tidy, inviting. Having been in the hospitality business (hotel/​customer service) for 40+ years, I’m always on the look-​out for this and these ladies have it down.
I even got a post card in the mail this week thanking me for my business — love it!
I found Salon Bravissimo on line while looking for Sacramento’s best … and as far as I’m concerned, she/​they are! For the first time in a very long time I feel like I have found a «home salon».

I have been going to Sandra Bandimere for over five years for my hair services. She is a color genius and a scissor master! She has my complete trust and I let her be the creative director of my head! Love her! I even drive from Lincoln to see her.

New in the area and found this salon thru Unilocal and decided to try it. Customer service was great. Didn’t have an appt and they got me in on the same day. Just wanted to wash my hair and blow dry it, but when it was time to dry my hair, I was surprised of the way they do it. Don’t like to blow dry my hair with just passing the blowdryer around my hair and using fingers or a regular brush. It has to be a rounded brush because my hair is not naturally straight so it has to be handled differently. The results were okay so that’s why I gave them 3 stars.

I had the pleasure of enduldging into the Bravissimo experience this warm Saturday morning. My regular stylist of nearly 10 years had to reschedule with me last night, so I was left to find someone in the hair world of Sacramento to handle my tresses. Not to tell my lady secrets, but I have what they call «ethnic», or biracial, long hair with 16-​inch Remy extensions. In layman’s terms, I have A LOT of hair. I consulted with Nery over the telephone and she sounded up for the challenge. Sounds good to me!
Salon Bravissimo was very easy to find on the beautiful Fair Oaks Blvd strip next to Ettore’s Bakery. I was impressed upon walking in by the cleanliness, organization, and fragrance of the large salon. I was greeted by receptionist Brie, whose bright blond curls and carefully contoured makeup made her a good «first face» of the shop. She offered me a choice of teas or coffee while I filled out a single-​page customer questionnaire.
Just a moment later my stylist Nery Arias greeted me with a big smile and handshake. We consulted a bit about the history of my hair and expectations for today while she got a «feel» for it (literally). Then off we went to the shampoo bowls. This is the part you realize you are about to have more than just a simple hair wash. I sat onto what resembled a modern leather recliner with the words «nice touch» in my head. But there was more. Nery asked me if I wanted her to put my feet up. I’m more of a giver than a taker, but I figured, while in Rome!
So off I was into a most relaxing hair wash. We chatted here and there as she answered questions I had, but I noticed she didn’t initiate discussion while massaging the scalp. What a relief! Nery was so focused, taking her time to relax me yet still do her job effectively. Little did I know there was even more! While conditioning, she asked me if the pressure on my scalp was ok, then began a slow scalp massage. After the work week and dirty hair, what’s better than this?! I’ll tell you: a neck massage! Nery lifted my head a bit and rubbed my neck one hand at a time. This is not something I am used to having in my weekly salon visits! What a way to pass the time as the conditioner sits in. If only other salons could be so intuitive!
The hardest part of styling my hair for newbies is blow-​drying, but Nery wasn’t overwhelmed. Sure it takes anyone other than my stylist a lot longer to get through it, but I was impressed with Nery! She kept her composure, she did not call for backup (LOL), and she did not cut corners. I had her keep do a simple straighten with a flatiron instead of curling it out, but even that is not easy – hence why I don’t even bother. I didn’t think anyone could do it, but Nery made my hair look just like my regular stylist does! She worked for it and I respected that.
Thanks you, Nery Arias! By the way, I recommend the Honey Ginseng tea. Sans sugar. It’s delicious!

New to the area I have been looking for a hair salon. I actually pulled into another store when I saw Salon Bravissimo! I walked in and ask if I could get in today for highlights. They were completely booked for today however I was able to go ahead and get a blowout. Perfect! Linda was the hairstylist for the blowout. Shampooing is the best part ~ ahhh…
Linda did a great job. I love how open the salon is. All of their products are displayed where you can see them. They have a complete service ~ which is amazing. Their pricing is pretty equivalent to what I was paying back east. I think I found my hair salon!
They offer water or coffee as you have your hair done. Linda ask if I would like a drink to which I said, «yes, that sounds great. I’ll take a water please.» However, I never got it.

If you want a FABULOUS haircut, ask for Nery Arias!!!

Not only is she an absolute doll, she is one of the sweetest and most caring stylists I have ever met. You can tell she truly aims to please and strives to achieve exactly what you’ve asked for. I have super long, thick, curly/​wavy hair that in the past has proven to be difficult to cut properly (I used to be that girl crying in the chair) but not anymore, Nery cuts it perfectly! …and did I mention her shampoo service? {{to die for}} — I always walk out of the salon feeling like a new person ;)
If you are looking for a new salon/​stylist, go to Salon Bravissimo and ask for Nery! The salon itself is beautiful, bright, sparkly CLEAN and welcoming.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Courtney for 2 years. I had a bit of a personal situation and had my hair cut closer to home. HUGE MISTAKE.
Courtney is amazing. She listens, makes suggestions and we always come up with a great style that fits my lifestyle, hair type and face.
I’ve learned my lesson. I’ll never stray again.

The first time I went to her, I stopped looking for a better stylist. Do you know why? Because no one is better than Emily.
Salon Bravissimo is a great salon but don’t be fooled in thinking that everyone who works here is just as talented because they are not. I say this from experience :/​
The staff here are wonderful as well! They aren’t the stuck up and snobby types you may have seen at other salons.

I came out smiling because I was so happy with my haircut and the whole experience of coming here. I scheduled a cut and color with Holly at 2:30pm on a Saturday. The appointment was for two hours, but I changed my mind to just get a haircut. I got there and was greeted right away from the front desk girl.
SERVICE: HOLLY asked me about what I wanted and she took her time. It was an hour and a half of shampoo, cut and a blow out. She is really detailed and will make sure you leave with a perfect hair cut. I loved how gentle she was with shampooing my hair, did not get any water on my face or clothes and it was just GREAT SERVICE!!! She is so welcoming and sweet. Holly helped me chop off about 12″ of hair. She made suggestions to see what I would like. She’s easy to talk to and will ask you what you want each step of the way. She used two products in my hair, but didn’t try to convince me to buy it, which I appreciate. I love how she blow dried my hair. I shake my head and it has this full-​hair feeling. She answered my hair questions and even told me she does quick bang trims. Oh, they offer water and tea (in a real cup) too haha. The place is super neat and big. I like out updated they look.
PRICE: My haircut was $ 51. It’s not the cheapest haircut of course, but we have got to treat ourselves sometimes.
Overall, I will be returning to Holly when I need a trim or any other hair service. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!
UPDATE: It’s been over 2 weeks since my haircut with Holly and I’m still getting compliments on the haircut! A gentleman said he liked how the haircut looked from the back of my head, which is very rare to hear. :)

I had a horrible hair cut experience a couple of days ago so I read some reviews and went here for a haircut correction. I had really long hair and I cut off 10 inches. And the person did a horrible job. :(
I went to Linda and she worked a miracle! She reassured me and was so positive about the whole thing. She changed the shape of my hair and the whole cut looks completely different. I am so grateful! I couldn’t believe the transformation because the previous person cut it so short so she didn’t have much to work with. I will never go anywhere else. Linda you are awesome!!!

What a nice place! We take our daughter here since her last hairstylists closed, and LOVE it!
My daughter is biracial, with the hair that needs and takes a special type of care not readily found at typical stylists… They do it all here for her, including keratin treatments. It’s not cheap, but nothing of real value really is. It’s a great-​looking place inside and is located in a great, upscale area. The staff is nice, professional, and friendly, and I was offered a beverage as soon as I had her signed in. The staff has to be among the best-​looking group of people I’ve seen at any salon.

I had high hopes because my boyfriend knew the owner of the salon. But both the experience and the results proved otherwise. Two stars are just because the receptionist was really nice and the salon itself was clean and pretty.
I had a black to blonde ombré which was turning very brassy. I asked for toning to take out the orange-​ness for a more neutral ombré.
First off, my stylist toned my hair in the sink instead of at my chair… so my neck was in a VERY uncomfortable position for a good 15 – 20 min and she did not check on me in between. After blowdrying, I realized that my hair was entirely dark brown/​grey. Her reasoning was that it would last longer to have a darker tone. What was worse was that the tips, once blonde, were jet black. So now my hair goes from black at my roots, to brown in the middle, and black at the tips… just looks like a huge brown stripe across my head.
I really wanted to like this place but salon bravissimo, you undid my ombré which i spent a lot of time and money on so I really cannot say it was a good choice coming here.
