History

Established in 1988.

Grutzmacher and Lewis Medical Corporation was established by Dr. Richard Grutzmacher and Dr. Richard Lewis. In 2007, Dr. Patricia Sierra joined their practice and in January of 2010 the practice’s name was changed to Grutzmacher, Lewis and Sierra.

Under the new organization, the practice offers decades of unsurpassed expertise and experience in the comprehensive treatment of cornea, glaucoma, cataract and laser vision correction, all performed by fellowship trained specialists.

Meet the Business Owner

Patricia B.

Business Owner

A native of Honduras, Dr. Patricia Sierra graduated with honors from Medical School at the National University of Honduras. She initiated her ophthalmic career participating in research at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida and then completed an ophthalmology residency at the Eye and Ear Institute of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Sierra later pursued an anterior segment and refractive surgery fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants and the Phillips Eye Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is the author various journal articles and book chapters in respected ophthalmology textbooks such as Ophthalmology and Cornea. She has particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external diseases, corneal transplantation and refractive surgery.
