Keith Liang, MD

Everyone here is extremely professional & nice. Dr. Liang is top notch! I suffered from a Corneal Ulcer due to my contact lenses, and one of my eyes got infected. Immediately, they scheduled an appointment, and I went in. Dr. Liang actually cares about my eyes and takes the time to address my concerns. I was really nervous about my appointment but Dr. Liang was very patient and explained everything to me. I would recommend anyone to stop by his office. Dr. Liang also works with two wonderful optometrists Dr. Michael & Dr. Ly.

Dr. Liang is the best eye doctor that I have seen in the Sacramento region. I had been wearing glasses for 13 years until he recently performed my LASIK last week. Not only did he take the time to make sure that I was fully educated but he also did not make me feel rushed when I had a lot of questions for him before the procedure. I loved the way that he wanted to make sure I understood everything that was being discussed. I’m so glad he was the one I trusted my eyes with, I am now glasses free and can see ²⁰⁄₂₀. Before the procedure I was ²⁰⁄₂₀₀ without glasses. Thank you so much Dr. Liang.

I am extremely happy with my LASIK eye surgery results. I have been wearing glasses for about 10 years and suffer from extremely dry eyes, so I couldn’t tolerate contact lens. I thought I would have to wear glasses for the rest of my life. I hated wearing glasses; it kept falling off my face. The lenses kept getting dirty; it was just a pain. I was ready to get rid of my glasses for good; however, I was extremely nervous. Dr. Liang and his staff were amazing. They took the time to explain and educate me about the surgery and its risk/​benefits. They walked through the process with me and even held my hands during surgery. Right after surgery, I couldn’t keep my eyes close because everything was so clear. The first day I was seeing 20/​20, the next week I saw ²⁰⁄₁₅. AMAZING!!! I would recommend Dr. Liang to anyone. I trust him. Having LASIK eye surgery with Dr. Liang was the best decision I made!

Let me start by saying I love my vision! I had PRK surgery with Dr. Liang last year and have perfect results. Center For Sight is not the typical LASIK mill that rushes patients through the door. Dr. Liang and his staff take the time to educate every patient about their eye condition and their treatment to correct it. In my case, Dr. Liang recommended PRK over LASIK. He not only explained the difference in the procedures but made sure I understood why my eye was better suited to one surgery over the other. If you are looking for a surgeon who is meticulous, detailed and caring, look no further than Dr. Liang.

If you have chalazion or stye, I don’t recommend to go here. I did waste my time and money here. I had chalazion on both eyes over couple weeks, came to this Doctor, asked him to give me a small surgery. He removed the chalazion, gave me a prescription, eye drop, and asked me to put warm compress on both eyes every single day. When i walked out of his office, I actually didnt feel like he removed anything on my eye. After a month, i came back and nothing have changed. My eyes were still red, irritated and there were a lot of tiny bumps inside my eyelids. I had to pay $ 110 for him to check my eyes without any help. He said that it would take 7 or 8 months for the chalazion to go away, and if he removed those bumps, he wouldnt guarantee anything. This time he gave me a different prescription and made another appointment for me to see him within the next 3 weeks. I was so so upset. I couldnt keep up with that so i went to different doctor, and guess what he asked to remove those bumps on my eyes right away cuz he said there were no way that my eyes would get better without a surgery. After the surgery, WITHIN ONLY 3 DAYS, my eyes actually healed. There is so sign of scar, my vision is perfect and I’m so happy. Dr. Liang and his staffs are really nice though, but if my eyes have problems like chalazion or stye, I dont think i would go to him again.

I have been wearing glasses for approximately 41year as of today, and I am taking the plunge to have eye surgery completed. My optometrist referred me to Dr. Keith Liang with Center for Sight.
I am very please to say, Dr. Liang and his staff, were very helpful and had answered all my questions. Dr. Liang explained clearly… the pro’s and cons of each procedure suitable for me. I have gone through the priminarily testing, and needless to say, I am ready to do my surgery.
The surgery went very well, and I am able to see ²⁰⁄₂₀. As he has mentioned to me I would need to use reading glasses when using the computer or reading. He even made it possible so I could read my iphone, and small labels when I am grocery shopping, etc…
Waking up and actually seeing the clock, just able to watch TV, or drive without glasses/​contacts is wonderful.

I seriously do not understand some of the bad reviews on Dr Liang. So far I have had great experience and the staff are friendly.
The doctors office is not a spa treatment. Whatever eye surgery you qualify for, you are there to undertand what is involved.

You need to trust someone that is going to operate on your eyes. I’m writing this review 10 years after having LASIK done by Dr. Liang. I’m now recommending Keith to my nieces. Life changing experience and still seeing 20 – 15, 10 years later!!!

I have taken my mother there twice now. The receptionist are very professional and kind. The first time I took her there, we were taken to the back rooms. And was helped by another Chinese lady. She spoke to my mother in Chinese, but she was very rude, as if my mother was the hardest patient ever. I was glad when that lady left the room, and the doctor came in to help us. Dr Liang is very nice and spoke to my mom in Chinese. My mother feels very comfortable with him. And he is very informative.
I would recommend dr liangs office to friends and family. I just hope they don’t get helped by that slightly chunky, mid aged, Chinese lady. The staff and doctor is great, just not that one that I have mentioned twice.

Talk about a nightmare! I have been waiting for years until my eyes stopped adjusting so I could qualify for LASIK Surgery. My Optometrist referred me to Dr. Liang. I called to setup an appointment for my «free consultation» to confirm I am a good candidate for the procedure. On the phone, I let them know the point of my visit is to get an accurate quote on how much LASIK will cost becase I would like to hold that money to pay with my FSA/​HSA account through my work. They told me the price is between $ 1,800-$ 2,400 per eye depending on how bad your perscription is. I let them know, I am a –1.00 on one eye and –1.25 in the other and the receptionist said they would verify this at my «free consultation and get me an exact price».
Appointment #1 — I took off 2 hours of work to attend at 3pm appointment where they asked me to be there ½ hour in advance. So, I arrived at 2:30pm, yet was not acknowledged until 3pm where they had me watch a 15 minute video (which I could have been doing while just sitting there the first 30 mins). After that, one of the assistants took me in a room, measured my perscription for about 10 minutes and says «ok, yup, you’re a candidate.» I explained I already knew this and I needed to know price. Again, she says «oh, between $ 1,800-$ 2,400 per eye dpending on how bad the perscriptoin». But, I obvioulsy just had my eyes verified… so, she let me know that was only a «pre-​consuldation» and I would need to schedule another appointment to come in and see Dr. Liang where he would be dialating my eyes and could give me an exact amount then”. She let me know the cost would be $ 100 for the actual consultation and it would only take 30 – 45 mins and the price would go toward the actual procedure. STRIKE ONE…
Appointment #2 — So, I took off work AGAIN and arrived at my actual consultation where I let them know as soon as I got there that I had to be back at work in an hour, since last time they didn’t see me until almost 45 mins after my scheduled appointment. The lady at the counter told me the consultation would be at least an 2 hours. SIGH… you would have thought after this weired miscommunication I would have just said forget it and gone somewhere else. But being that this was a referral, I made yet another appointment to come back. STRIKE TWO…
Appointment #3 — This time I took my boyfriend with me because I wanted his take on it. At this point I’m getting a bit concerned about trusting my eyes to people like this… So, we get there and watch another video. One of the assistants takes me into a room to re-​measure my eyes and run some tests. After about 15 minutes of the girl fumbling around, another assistant comes in and explaines the last person did it wrong and they would be re-​doing them… my boyfriend and I are thinking «WTF is going on? I hope the Doctor is not like this. All I need is the quote for my FSA/​HSA Account!»
Finally, after about an hour, the doctor comes in, introduces himself and has me watch yet another video. I let him personally know the reason for my visit being to get the quote for FSA/​HSA and he tells me, «oh, yeah, accounting will tell you that at the end, I just do these measurements, its between $ 1,600-$ 2,400 per eye.» I asked, «and that’s based on the amount of correction your eye needs, right? So, if I’m –1.00 and –1.25 it’s toward the lower end of the pricing?» And he verified yes. Then, I asked if they take VSP and we could not believe what he said «VSP doesn’t pay me anything. All they do is require me to give you a discount!» WOW. STRIKE THREE. Why would you say that to a customer?
Ok, so I get out of the appointment and sit down with the young lady who is supposed to give me pricing. She goes, «ok, well, its $ 2,400 per eye with a 15% discount for VSP and your total comes to…». I basically stopped her there because that makes no sense… «my eyes need very little correction, yet I’m getting charged the highest amount per eye?» She goes «well, I can ask Dr. Liang again since he sets pricing.» WOW… STRIKE FOUR… it’s just lie after lie with this place. At this point, I was just like «get me out of here.» I told them I was not interested in their services not only because of the price, but I would not want to trust my eyes to a place with this many issues. I told her I was happy to pay the $ 100 and I did not want to be contacted again. Thinking this was the last thing that could possibly happen, as she’s running my credit card, she says «oh, oops, sorry… I bite my nails too much let me wipe that off» because she dripped blood on the receipt. GROSS!!! STRIKE FIVE THROUGH INFINITY… That was absolutely last straw…
I have nothing against the people or the place, but I would have felt horrible if something happened to someone there that I could have prevented by voicing my awful experience. Come to your own conculusion about the place, but you have been warned!

Ridiculous! Dr. Liang and his staff are the most condescending individuals known to man. The optometrists are very disrespectful to their patients and have this attitude as if they would rather be anywhere else in the world but at their job. Well, here’s a newsflash: We, as your patients, would prefer you get a different job anyway. I’d have a better conversation with rotten egg than I did with any of the workers, however, at times, it seemed like I was talking to just that.
My grandfather was experiencing discomfort in one of his eyes. He is Chinese and speaks limited English, so I went along to help translate. They talked to him like a 5 year old with a mental disease. Why don’t you give him a lollipop for being a good boy, too, Doc?
In addition to the poor service, one woman in paticular was extremely bossy and snobby. My mom who had gone in earlier had the same experience with that very doctor. Just saying, if you want more service, FIRE THE GROUCH!
Although Dr. Liang was not the demon of the bunch, he certainly wasn’t the most friendly, either. However, it is wrong for me to say that everyone in the office needed manners, for his receptionist was very kind as she kept her mouth shut, smiled, and handed us papers.
Oh yes, Dr. Keith Liang is a definite keeper. :sarcasm:

Unfortunately, I had to visit Dr. Liang due to an ulcer on my cornea and a terrible eye infection. Despite my reasoning to visit the doctor, I could not be more pleased with his services and his staff. I cannot tell you how accomodating, responsive, and informative everyone has been, and the follow-​up has been great. Dr. Liang even scheduled a Saturday morning appointment for me when the office is normally closed. I would recommend Dr. Liang and his staff to anyone seeking Ophthalmologist services.
