Emerge from the Aether Tintype Studio is an extension of Dan Herrera Studio. Dan Herrera is a Sacramento-​based photographer who specializes in illustrative commercial photography.

Business Owner

Dan Herrera is a photographer based in Sacramento, California. Dan uses an elaborate means of image capture, composition, and output that ranges from 19^th century photography techniques (like tintypes) with contemporary production methods.

His work explores how the aesthetics of process can be used as a narrative element. Dan’s exhibition record includes shows in New York, Los Angeles, and numerous Bay Area venues including the De Young Museum in San Francisco, and the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art. His work has been recently published in Submerge Magazine, F-​Stop Magazine, Diffusion Magazine, and Juxtapoz. He currently teaches classes in photography, art, and design as an adjunct professor at American River College and Sierra College.
