Dentistry Of East Sacramento

I’ve been using this dentistry office for two years now and have had minor disappointments the whole time. But they are close to my home and transferring dentists is such a pain so I just continued on. Twice I have had the front desk confirm my insurance only to find out that oops I need to pay out of pocket. I get that’s it an estimation and I am flexible. However, being off several hundred dollars twice is an issue. The first time it happened, the office realized the error and offered a payment plan for the extra. The second time, I assumed I would have the same luxury but the dentist herself told me «we don’t do payment plans». So I left, with a temporary crown in waiting to get my permanent crown. I’ve had massive pain after simple procedures and one dentist (oh yeah, you never see the same one) even clipped part of my tongue. I will never be a patient in this office again and I encourage you to be very diligent about your insurance and the front desk (I’ve seen three different receptionists in the two years with them). Something is just not right about this practice. They have terrible hours also.

Well the problem with this place isn’t the dentist. They are diligent in their job. We were going to this dentist for 2 years and had to make a change due an insurance plan change. We contact them to have our files transferred. The office manager wasn’t very helpful over the phone, but she implied they would transfer. Well this has been 6 phone calls now, 2 emails and one drop in person to still get the files. (going on 4 weeks now)
I hope the owner/​dentist see this and remind the team on their staff of the importance of the customer. We had and were recommending them to friends but we will be unable to do this anymore.

Dr. Ambaram is the BEST! This is a great intimate practice. I had not been to the dentist is 20 years – SCARY – and I really did not want to get told I was bad person, I was nervous on a lot of levels.
Dr. A was kind, she walked me through a plan back to a healthy mouth and always made me feel like we were working together.
What I like best is that Dr. A has a sense of humor! I never leave the office without laughing with her… she comes to her work with compassion, authenticity and humor.
I LUCKED OUT after 20 years!

Best dentist I’ve had & made me feel
Comfortable & great office staff, thought things were good. I even referred family & friends both. Dr welch thank you for what you did for me & I’m sad I wasn’t able to continue there.
