Dana Conrado, owner of Cezanne Skin Group, is the «Sugaring» expert. She was the first person to bring this unique form of hair removal to the west coast in 1996 and «The Original» Aesthetician to offer sugaring as a healthier, less invasive wax alternative in Sacramento.

Established in 1996.

Dana Conrado started Cezanne Skin Spa in 1996. She offered face and full body treatments at her H Street location. After almost 15 years, she relocated her business to Midtown, renaming it Cezanne Skin Group. Her focus is now on her specialty in «Sugaring» and personalized skincare treatments ranging from acne and anti-​aging treatments to hair removal for men and woman.

We are proud to provide our customers with high quality products and services at a reasonable price. Through customized facials, infa red anti-​aging treatmnets and sugaring, we are dedicated to helping you achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy skin.

Business Owner

Dana Conrado is the proprietor of Cezanne Skin Spa. She started in the beauty industry in 1993 as a freelance make-​up artist and skin care specialist for a Japanese company. She is a licensed aesthecian trained and certified in Oriental acupressure, clinical aromatherapy, European skin care techniques, make-​up application, and sugar hair removal. Dana was the first practitioner on the West Coast to be trained in sugar hair removal.

After traveling to Canada to receive training, she went on to become a certified instructor and help Alexandria launch sugaring in the United States. She has received training from Eve Taylor from London, England in clinical aromatherapy. Dana also has numerous certificates from the International Dermal Institute. Dana is always looking for ways to continue her education to provide the best service to her clients.

I have been going to Cezanne for two years now and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with Dana and her service. I go for sugaring and she was the only person in my area that did sugar. I do not do wax and being a dark skinned african-​american (black) I have to be very careful with any type of hair removal process I use. When I called Cezanne, I was able to ask a million question and the one answer that stood out the most was that she has been doing this for over 16 years!
Dana is SUPER clean, she is ALWAY on time and willing to be flexible with my schedule. She takes her business very seriously and treats her clients like friends. I rarely stick with any one thing for a long time but I have not left Dana’s side since the day I met her. She has recently went through a staffing change which I feel was all for the best. Her business is classy and established, not to mention in a primo location. I have actually recommended Dana to my mother and she makes a 35 minute drive from out of town just to see Dana.
If you are currenlty a «waxer» and want a completely different experience with better results try sugaring with Dana, she is simply the best around!

I just got my first facial here yesterday by Dana, and I have been staring at my face every chance I get! I can’t believe how clear and gosh darn gorgeous it looks! I used a groupon for the European facial, but I think I ended up getting the Vitamin facial because I have sensitive skin. The facial included a fabulous neck and shoulder massage, 10 minutes with steam blowing on my face (sounds weird but felt great), and extractions of clogged pores (this was not very fun at all, but the result is worth it). The whole experience has left me wondering why I didn’t do this much sooner. Although I used a groupon I will be doing it again for the full price, totally worth the money.

Was not a great experience. Arrived and was rushed. I had a sugaring appt with Amanda and was over charged. I will not be back nor recommend her as the service was not up to par for the money spent.

I have been around the block and have had many facials and treatments but never saw a difference so didn’t think it was really necessary. However, Dana, the owner of Cezanne wanted to prove to me that taking care of your face/​skin is necessary. So, I made a bet with her and after 2 months of going to her I have received tons of compliments of how I look younger and my skin is so radiant. I am now hooked! It is a very professional environment, Dana explains and educates and knows that everyones situation is different. I don’t feel like it is a typical in and out treatment. She analyzes and pays attention. By far the best place!

After years of playing sports and other outdoor activities my face started to resemble an old catcher’s mitt, ok maybe not that bad but you get the picture. Growing up we never used sunblock, I recently took my godson to a soccer game and his parents layered him with sunblock, put a hat on and gave him an umbrella. If I would have asked my parents for sunblock they would have just said“Just rub some dirt on it”.
Now that I have justified my current gayness, I can rave about Cezanne. From the moment you walk in they make you feel welcomed, they greet you by your name and always with a smile. I especially liked that they didn’t look at you like you just walked in the wrong door by being a guy. And Dana is FABULOUS!!! She is friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the services the would best suit my needs. I have gone back numerous times, plan on going back many more times, and have actually purchased some packages as gifts which people loved. SO if you are the in the mood to pamper yourself, Cezanne has to be on the top of your list.

I had a facial with Amanda and it was lovely. She does a great massage, and uses products that dont irritate my sensitive skin. The day after my facial my skin was baby soft. The salon décor was really nice and her esthetics room was large, decorated like something you’d see on pinterest, and very clean. The other girls that work there were also really nice. I cant wait for my next relaxing facial!!!

Hands down this is one of the best groupon I brought! I had the cleansing facial done and it felt amazing. The esthetician that worked on my face was named Amanda if I did not remember wrong. She is super nice and great at what she does. I have clogged pores and my pore size are small therefore my pore get plugged from time to time. She extracted my pore and I’m not going to lie, it really hurt, but the end result is that my skin felt like it got a fresh start. After that treatment, I was able to keep my skin clear for months! People here are very professional. I love this place!

So I wanted to surprise my hubby for our anniversary and got my first brazillian wax here. I had relied on the Unilocal reviews for Suzie but she no longer works here so I was a bit hesitant but wrongfully so.
My experience was amazing. I’ve had waxing done before (including my bikini area) and it was always irritated and red. Not with sugaring and Amanda’s magic touch. She made me feel so comfortable and has an amazing sense of humor. I really recommend this place for their professionalism and technique.
I will be back and let’s just say it was probably the best anniversary gift yet… ;)

I went here for a brow sugaring by Amanda, and I won’t go anywhere else, or to anyone else! I am very low maintenance, and I hate waxing, it’s so painful and seems borderline abusive. I tried sugaring, and it was such a better experience. I grew my brows out for 6 weeks prior to having them sugared and shaped by Amanda. I went in on a Saturday, and she made me look like a Non-​Wookie again! My brows were so smooth and wonderful, and I didn’t get red and puffy like I did with waxing. I would highly recommend not only sugaring, but Amanda. She tamed my insane brows (they grow weird and are a pain in the butt) and made them look fantabulous.

I was a first timer to Cezanne about a month ago because I heard that they do a great job at sugaring. I’ve never been to a public spa type of place for regular waxing because I’m very OCD about cleanliness and think I could contract a STD by people breathing on me. Also, I’m a whimp and hate to be tortured like that. After doing a bit of research about sugaring, I figured it was a better alternative since it is relatively less painful and tend to have better results. Amanda did my Brazilian sugaring work and yes, it was painful at parts, but not as bad as I expected. She was awesome and talked me through it. She was also really funny and distracted me enough so that I was laughing through the whole thing, including the painful parts. It didn’t take longer than 35 – 40 minutes and I loved the end results. I’ll definitely go back in a month!

Bonnie still does great work, but I recently started getting facials with Dana due to my hectic schedule. Dana is fabulous! She really took the time to listen to me and my skin concerns. I received the Rejuvalight skin treatment and was amazed at how great my skin looked the next day.
I usually get the light frequency treatment to help prevent breakouts, but the rejuvalight treatment helps repair collagen, and the skin around my eyes looks so much better. It really helped lighten that area.
Plus time and time again I always receive great customer service here. Dana really cares about her clients and it shows.

A-​mazing! As a self-​proclaimed « Unilocal Nerd» this is one of two businesses I’ll be reviewing today thanks to this lovely site.
While Unilocal-​ing a new place for a bikini wax closer to home, I stumbled across Cezanne. Reading the reviews, I learned of a process called «sugaring”-less painful than a wax, you say? Sign me up!
Without getting too detailed on the process, let’s just say I called, was greeted by a lovely (and incredibly knowledgeable) scheduler and had an appointment scheduled within days.
Amanda is AMAZEBALLS. Period. I was nervous-​she calmed me. I faltered a bit when I heard there were no spa panties (eek!), but she made me feel 110% comfortable. She was witty and nice and I was treated to 20 mins of free stand-​up comedy to boot ;) Oh and by the way, sugaring is DEFINITELY less painful than a wax!
This place rocks-​enough said. I can’t recommend it enough and I will definitely be back. Thank you, Amanda!

I tried this place from what I thought was going to be an excellent deal on Groupon. Well… you get what you pay for. Was supposed to get a 75 minute «cleansing facial» but turned out to be a 30 minute face wash. I’ve had several facials before from various spas and in comparison, this was not a «facial.» There was nothing relaxing about this place. I’ll spare the details of all the racket and washing utensils in the sink while I was supposed to be getting a «facial» so if you’re treating yourself, then I don’t recommend this place. I’ve never been to a «spa» that uses papertowels. Maybe the service was bad cuz of all the grouponers, but if they all got what I did, they’re going to be one-​timers. I know I will be.

Fantastic! I hope I don’t regret writing a good review to give this place more business; thus it may become difficult to get an appointment. ha.
I 100% checked this place out because of Unilocal.I had never heard of the place or what they offered; I booked an appointment over the phone with a real nice member of the staff for a sugaring treatment.
Got a call from the woman I was scheduled to see, and she answered all my questions about the sugaring and gave me tips on skin prep etc. etc.
I arrived at my appointment a week later and was greeted in the small little front desk area and waited for just a few minutes until my aesthetician Amanda took me back into a private room. It was a typical sugaring treatment– of a private nature; you know. It was painful (first timer!), worth it, Amanda was professional, funny, easy to talk to which helped relax me, and she is great at her skill.
I am really, really happy with my experience here. A lot of salons and spas make me really uncomfortable and I don’t feel welcome. This place is relaxed, clean, and the staff are lovely. A+

Had «Cleansing Facial» yesterday with Dana. Fabulous! I have been getting facials for over 20 years in Sacramento. Saw a Groupon for a facial at Cezanne and went for it. Had seen the business around in Sacramento for years and thought it was time to try Cezanne as my skin person was no longer in business. Cezanne has recently moved from H Street location to midtown (J Street), nice cozy office. Friendly receptionist. Dana is personable, friendly and absolutely knows her skin «stuff». She did not push any products nor treatments but did answer all my questions thoroughly. She gave a fantastic face, neck and shoulder masssage too. After cleaning, exfoliating and toning, she selected an enzyme peel for my type of skin. She also do light extraction. Warm mittens on the hands were cool, too. She is the Owner but employs other Skin Specialists who perform the treatments too. After getting home, I read the other treatment packages and plan on trying the Vivite Glycolic Chemical Facial Peel next! Thanks, Dana. You sure know your stuff when it comes to skin.

Coming from a year stint in Southern California, home of $ 35 for anything bikini/​full-​bikini, it’s tough to stomach higher prices up here, but having someone be so knowledgeable, quick and professional certainly helps.

And what Winnie G. said about sugaring: yes. Sugaring is way less traumatic on your skin than waxing, and gets more hair out, and is less painful.

I have been going to Cezanne for almost 10 years now, and they are superb! If you’ve never had a sugaring procedure, I highly recommend it. Seriously, I don’t even mind getting a Brazillian because these ladies are so professional and make the sugaring process as painless as possible. Much less painful than wax!
Dana is fantastic; I have dubbed her «The Eyebrow Whisperer». Sometimes I want to stop in just to talk to her and Susie because they are so nice! These ladies are fantastic at what they do and make you feel so comfortable and welcomed.

I had made an appointment here about 3 – 4 days prior to the actual appointment date. I went to the appointment and it turned out someone hadn’t put me in their books. Because it wasn’t busy at all, Susie very sweetly took me in for my Brazilian and I was out in 30 mins.
Susie explained everything very in depth and was very knowledgeable about waxing and sugaring since she’s been in the industry for years. It was my first time getting «sugared» and it was a surprisingly great experience in comparison to other waxings I’ve gone to.
Sugaring is definitely less painful than waxing, although not at all pain-​free. Compared to another chain waxing center I shall not name, Cezanne and Susie were amazing and I will definitely return for future sugarings.
Only downfall was I didn’t get the advertised 10% discount, but considering they managed to fit me into their schedule without a problem, it really didn’t matter to me. Susie rocks!
P. S. Cezanne is down the hallway between Kasbah and Tapa, and is upstairs.

Cezanne is now in Midtown.
Between Tapa the World and Kasbah Lounge is a corridor of businesses. If you walk towards the very back and up the stairs, it’s at the top of the stairs to your left.
There’s metered parking as well as some free parking spots sprinkled around numbered streets.
The place is small and they just moved in so they’re still getting established. If it was my first time coming to this location, it might have turned me off. But rest assure– It’s the same people doing the same work. just in a new place.

Warning, for those of the faint of heart, read no further. I’m going to talk about those adorable little (ahem continental-​sized) red devils that love to take refuge on my face from time to time … to time. Yeah, I know. It’s not bad enough that I’ve got wrinkles, but pimples, too. Thanks, God. Actually, I should thank Stress and buying face wash from Rite Aid.
Susie is one of the most well-​versed and knowledgeable aestheticians I have run across, and gave me a run down on my skin that was supremely enlightening. Plus, after every extraction, she said «Yep. Done. That one’s not coming back.» You have no idea how good it feels to have someone tell you with such confidence that a pimple will never return.
She also guessed that I was a Capricorn and recommended acupressure/​puncture for the stress that I (and apparently the vast majority of women) carry in my shoulder/​neck region.
Oh, and she puts these crazy plastic heat packs on your feet and hands which are very soothing and smoothing!
I would recommend her to anyone!
