With only two tables that were occupied, the service was still slow. The food was not comparable to other hot pot place I’ve tried. I do not recommend this place to anyone and the price was expensive for the portion. Two thumbs down.

NOTE: THISPLACEISNOLONGERLAKAFFA! Don’t know what happened to good ol La Kaffa with their stingy outlet usage policy and good«bobs» milk tea. Now it’s another place called smelly pot with a whole different menu.

A «meh» place. For some reason I think the Taiwanese food served here wasn’t that great. Also the drinks are just mediocre. There is just too much fierce competition around the Rowland area for them to get any business. Heard recently it’s Smelly Pot now, where they only serve Hot Pot. Hmm maybe that’s good? But I’m not sure if I’d come here over any shabu or Hot pot places like Boiling Point. We’ll have to see…

If I can give a negative star I would. I’m very tolerent and have never given a 1 star before, if a place has at least good food or good service I give a 3. But this place had rude staff, food was stale, and tea lacked flavors. AVOID!

with some fobby spelling error that runs acorss their windows«semlly pot» instead of Smelly Pot– The service here isnt bad, and supposedly they are revamping and when we tried out thier food that day it was all just a soft launch. Apparently La Kaffa changed their menus to HOTPOT only! The hot pots all come with an extra green tea, which they never mentioned until after we ordered our hot pots! I thought this was misleading because I ordered a drink prior and though i probably would of ordered a drink anyway. i felt like they just wanted to hussle another $ 5 after! Not cool… So i had the vegetarian hot pot with tomato base — and they messed up and gave me meat– i know he heard me the first time, so I hate not being trusting and bothering staff members and double and triple checking the my food is in fact vegetarian… but sometimes its what you have to do to make sure! So my pot ended up being meat, and it came out another 15 minutes later and they didn’t even try to compensate me with a sorry dessert or something! regardless .the food was just ok to me. the drink«jujubee milk tea tasted like the hokkiako drink that i get at boiling point and i been craving it so it was good!

Man should’ve ordered some dessert or a drink with my last meal here because everything was just so disappointing. I don’t know if the ownership has changed or if they’re trying to change their image, but this is NOT the La Kaffa that I used to go to anymore. They used to have really cute laminated menus that have Taiwanese bento-like items such as pork chop rice and dry noodles and whatnot, but now they’ve just become this wannabe Boiling Point. When the waitress brought over the menu, it was this flimsy stack of black and white print paper that was all stapled up. I flip through the entire menu and there are like five flipping pages of different pots. Preserved egg pot, popcorn chicken pot, lamb pot, etcetc… WTH?! What happened to their old menu items. I ask the waitress and apparently they only serve this stuff now– which is honestly a huge letdown. Okay– the pot itself. Soup base was way too oily for me and they add a crap ton of satay sauce to the point where the taste is just completely overbearing. I don’t like the things they add on the side either– fish cake tasted crappy and according to my ma the meat in hers wasn’t good either. I ordered the popcorn chicken pot because it sounded interesting. But then I realized what a dumb idea that was five minutes after I received my pot and found my popcorn chicken getting all soggy and gross. Even the pot is so poorly designed. At one point during the meal I swear the fire was lashing out from the side and was about to singe my hair. I ask the waitress if I can have the fire put out.(Which boiling point does in one second by covering the fire). And some waiter comes by and has to take my WHOLE pot into the kitchen in order to do. Ugh. And the bottles of sauces. Why why why?! Okay yeah it looks fancy shmancy that you’re using the type of container cafés use for pouring out condensed milk. But it clearly doesn’t work for the damn soy bean paste. Seriously homegirl over here spent HALF the meal holding my arm up and flipping the container upside down in order to try and get a measly couple of dollops of that sauce. And the worst part was? You can’t even open the container yourself! I’ve no idea how they put the sauce in because I spent a good amount of time trying to pry that thing open. I’m a huge fan of boiling points soy bean paste and yeah. They use the same sauce here. I would be able to recognize that taste with my nose plugged and my eyes blindfolded. Customer service was mediocre as well. Yeah the servers were nice, but I asked for water and never received it and it took forever for our pots to come out even when the place wasn’t packed at all. I usually don’t rant on and on like this– but this past experience was just way too disappointing. I remember my friends and I used to come by for their Taiwanese sausage fried rice and bentos but since that’s no longer an option AND they’ve fallen on the hot pot bandwagon. No thanks. I’m a fan of originality and this place just seemed like a knockoff of Boiling Point. Maybee I’ll be back to try a drink here, but definitely not getting the food.

I absolutely despise places that say«oh sorry we only accept credit cards w/minimum purchase of $ 20» why not just put up a big sign so we get discouraged from coming in? Now im forced to do one of two things, I can either shell out every penny and dollar i have so i can meet their bill or I can order more(thank you very much for trapping me) so the total amount exceeds $ 20. annoying isnt it? I ordered the sausage rice and my friend got the popcorn chicken. Theres nothing special about this place. Their drinks are served in almost kids size servings(the free ones that come /w the meal) This place isnt good. not even adequate.($ 8 – 9 for average boba tea house meal) For price and quality, try monja off gale.

It’s been so HOT! We needed a quick pick me up with a cool breeze and rolled right up to La Kaffa on the way to the mall. [[ Jasmine Green Milk Tea ]]– Real milky. really milky. But just like any other green tea. [[ Watermelon slush ]]– REAL watermelons! and ICE! That’s it. AMAZING. I’d come back just for you little red drink. :) You quenched my thirst! ////STARS Overall //// 3 Stars because there wasn’t anything unique about this boba shop. Just your typical boba stop… but they sure make a mean Watermelon drink! Wouldn’t come back unless I was really in the area for something.

I came here with a friend around 930 and it was EMPTY Like a ghost town you could hear the humming of the kitchen fridge in the back of the house. We ordered two drinks and chicken to snack on. grapefruit green tea with easy sugar– nothing to complain about peach green tea with easy sugar– tastes like peach candy chicken– typical popcorn chicken you get anywhere around the area We didn’t order enough and there wasn’t a good number of guests sitting in to see how the place really is when its busy. This review is based on the service that we got. The guy working the counter sat us down and was VERY helpful. He went out of the way to answer our questions, make suggestions, and show us the sizes of their drinks just to give us an idea of what we were getting. I really appreciate these little things from dining establishments. It was obvious that they could have closed shop early and left since they closed at 12am but they let us stay and didnt make us feel like we should leave. I was glad to leave a fat tip for them! i hope the next time im here ill get the same service and wont have to edit my review. FOURSTARS– not for food. great service. friendly.

Came by the other day for some boba. The store was a little trendy, and there were a few jokers sitting outside playing cards. I ordered the Milk Tea w/Boba, and it was watered down. Aye aye aye. The boba was chewy, but lacked taste. I’ll come back next time if I want some tea-flavored water…

$ 5 – 6 for a cup-o-tea? Are you kidding me? I don’t doubt that they have good quality tea, but I don’t taste the amazing difference between theirs and all the many other tea stations/ten ren’s down the street. And they’re asking me to fork up $ 1 – 2 more a cup. Honestly, I think the fruit tea at tea station on gale is better and they’ll refill your hot water to brew it a second time for less $$. For that price, I can get a cheap bite and not just get full off water.

It was a horrible experience. My drink turned out nothing like how I requested, and they charge for cups… I really wish that they would give ceramic cups if you dined in, but everything is paper. The cups are tiny and there are no large sizes for hot drinks! It used to be better. I loved their grass jelly and their boba before. This time, I tried coffee, green tea, fruit tea, popcorn chicken, and peach green tea. The only good thing was the green tea(no sugar). But then again, how can you really mess up on that, right? The service was OK. I really enjoy the atmosphere… But, I think I will have to stick to my green tea, no sugar, next time I go back.

Buttermilk brick toast! Peach green tea also. I can’t say I like the solid cups though, I’m so used to seeing my drink.

Always wondered about this place when I drive through the parking lot en route to my favorite spot across the street, but due to the lack of WIFI at my favorite tea joint, my girlfriends and I migrated to La Kaffa last night for drinks. There’s lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking lot is huge, and I love the see through glass of La Kaffa. Love the selection of music they were playing and it wasn’t too loud(and yes, it’s Chinese). There are a large selection of drinks & food on their menu, since I got here around 10pm, I only opted for the drinks. $ 3 something for a lavender milk tea. Not bad. It was a little too sweet for my liking, but I guess I can always tell them to go easy on the sugar the next time I visit. Would definitely come back to La Kaffa again if I need internet and somewhere to chill.

Overall AOK Friendly service, nice and cozy tables, nice and bright setting. Strawberry Ice Tea was average. There was too much syrup and the tea was not strong. I would prefer getting mostly green tea and not syrup. Free wifi. Overall, AOK.

The last time I stopped by, I saw 3 lambos parked outside. Seriously, you’d have to make that kind of money to be a regular here. Pretty pricey, but the most of the drinks are well made. It’s definitely a bit more like a legitimate asian tea house, rather than the average boba chain. I’m a fan of the hot ginger tea and the rose milk tea. Not the best atmosphere, and the tables are more like restaurant tables that are a bit close together, rather than a comfy café. I always grab and go.

Not my cup of tea at all. I went here because some of my friends liked it when they had it but when I came here it was terrible. Maybe it was an off day for them. I was here on a weekday and in the afternoon. Not really a crowded spot and the place was pretty much dead. I like how the logo looks. Kind of reminds me of something you might see in Europe. After that I wanted to get a tea. I saw grapefruit tea with green tea. So I decided to get that. BIGBIG mistake… I would say it was one of the worst drinks I have had in my life. It was super sweet and tasted like pure syrup. This truly didn’t taste like green tea. It also didn’t taste like grapefruit either! The drink was pretty expensive as the total for 3 drinks was $ 17.00. I don’t think I will be coming back here again.

Prices are slightly more expensive that what I am used to. I had weird service on my first time here and my Boba Milk Tea was way too sweet with boba that literally were stuck to each other. I had a chunk of boba all stuck to each other. My girlfriend got her Jasmine Green Milk Tea, which was better than my drink. Sigh @ this place. Maybe next time will be better

Lunch on Saturday, 10÷2÷10(First visit) My boyfriend and I walked in around 12:30pm and there were lots of tables available inside as well as outside. We were seated promptly but it took a while for the server to come by and take our order. The house special vanilla coffee was tasty. It came out steamy hot. I ordered the iced hazelnut coffee and it was just as tasty! Nothing with an instant coffee or powder flavor. When our order came, the dry noodle minced pork was the best. I was flavorful with enough sauce to go over all the noodles. I ordered the beef noodle soup but it was only okay. I’ve had better. It wasn’t spicy at all either, seems like they were aiming for something healthy. We didn’t order any desserts or shaved snow so the 4-star rating goes towards the excellent drinks and tasty dry noodle minced pork dish. The service was slow though.

I desperately want to give this place four stars as I am a fan of the drinks in general. Their milk teas are awesome, particularly the Italian coffee, almond milk tea, etc. I can’t say much about the food except it’s standard Taiwanese styled stuff(popcorn chicken, beef soup noodles, etc.). There’s ample indoor and outdoor seating(and parking) and the place is pretty hip looking. However, I’m digressing for a bit as to why I can’t give the place four stars. Bottom line is that their service can sometimes be ridiculously slow! It can be slow EVENWHEN there are HARDLY any customers around and when the people working there are more interested in talking to their friends than providing service to their customers, that can be irritating!
