I hired Joe Pâté to tile a floor and do some painting. Joe told me «I can do any remodeling work.» The quality of Joe’s work was so poor that once he was finished, I needed to hire professionals to correct all the mistakes he had made. Also, Joe got paint on my carpet and on 3 solar screens. I spent a lot of money replacing the carpet and screens. Joe did more damage to my home than good.

This is a follow up to a previous review. Joe also did drywall repairs that need to be redone to the tune of $ 250. He also got paint on our upholstered furniture, ruing one chair. We have had to hire someone to fix his crappy paint job too. He also installed recessed lighting with no license and painted over the new light fixtures.

Though on time and communicative, Joe has potential to do more harm than good. Failure to simply protect carpeted area almost cost me having to replace a huge room of carpet. Messy! Now there’s caulk all over the patio furniture of all things. Left me to finish the small details of the job.

Joe was excellent. He was friendly, experienced and focused. He was able to come at a time that was convenient for me and actually showed up earlier than was arranged(but first he checked with me to make sure that would be okay). His fee was reasonable and cheaper than national service companies. I could tell he knew what he was doing, he explained to his assistant exactly what needed to be done, what was going to happen and he was right at every junction. After they were through, they wiped down the area, vacuumed and swept the floor(where the work was done) and my kitchen might have actually looked nicer than when they got here. When I called to make the appointment, I explained what I needed and he gave me a quote right then(a flat rate for this job). Also, after the initial phone call all communications were done through texts, which makes everything easier in my opinion. He asked me if I text, so I’m sure if you do not care to text, calling would not be a problem. He uninstalled a broken over-the-range microwave and installed a new one. He is also on BBB. I would not hesitate to call him again.

This guy came and fixed multiple things that others couldn’t in a short amount of time and for a minimal fee. He didn’t do a great job on installing one thing, but full marks because he came right back out and fixed it perfectly. Things he did for me: fixed a fan that ticked(had to completely disassemble to find the loose wire inside); install a new light; figure out what was wrong with my old fluorescent garage light; change a bulb that had broken off in the socket. Joe is friendly, trustworthy, and good at what he does. Give him a call.

Joe did a decent job — not necessarily a perfectionist

Joe is GREAT! It is so nice to deal with a service person who knows what customer service means. He is always quick to give me an estimate on my schedule, on time, does excellent work and is reasonable. His service guys are friendly and not people you are afraid to let in your house. He is also flexible. I cannot say enough good things about Joe. Well rated by BBB.
