One of our favorites for BBQ! Excellent sauce if you like a bit of kick with the otherwise sweet deliciousness. We love dipping the complementary bread with it(on request only nowadays). The ribs and pulled pork are great, but I do wish they’d consider baby-backs instead of the spareribs. They can be a bit gristly on occasion. All in all, a solid BBQ place with a great old-school feel.

Carry out order on a Saturday night watching playoff football at home. I’ve been at the restaurant over 30 times… down the street from my house. Carry out combo order… sausage and chicken… barely any sausage, chicken was way overcooked… I have had the same meal in restaurant at least 10 times and I know what it should be. I called the restaurant and the manager called me basically a liar, I was so shocked. Very unsatisfactory experience. Bad food(this time) and very bad customer service. I will go elsewhere. Reading the other reviews I see I’m not alone.

Tried twice, bad service, mediocre meals and cold sides that should have at least been warm. Add that up with trying to find a waiter/waitress for empty drinks for 20 min and it goes downhill from there. Too many other great BBQ places around to waste on $$ here.

I’m pretty disappointed in Dreamland BBQ. I’ve been in a serious BBQ mood lately. Normally, Fox Bros(in Little 5) or Fat Matts(in Buckhead) are my go to places but it’s a little far for a weeknight meal. One day while running errands, I stopped here for lunch. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich and he was satisfied. I ordered a salad with pulled pork and add bacon. BBQ salads are so much better with bacon. What isn’t better with bacon? The server informed me they don’t carry bacon, wtheck. Bacon-less… If you are looking for food BBQ in Roswell, try Swallow at the Hallow.

They have a new menu and some great new options. Their smoked wings are really good and the bbq chicken salad was a sharable size. Also saw some turkeys being smoked in the oven.

Tasteless pork barbecue. It was also lukewarm at best. Overcooked, too. The only thing I ate that tasted okay were the green beans. The chips were cold… Smh ~~

Came in for a quick dinner and left both happy and very full! Got the combo plate with pulled pork and smoked sausage along with baked beans and some amazing Brunswick stew. Although the stew is a premium side it was well worth the extra dollar. Great service and delicious food! Thanks Matt for a fantastic experience!

I really enjoy eating at Dreamland, as I am a fan of Alabama style barbecue. I am only giving 4 stars due to the fact your overall experience will be completely dependent on your server. The first time I visited the hostess wasn’t the best — she didnt even greet us — and seemed much more interested in her phone. However, we were sat in what seemed to be the best section of the restaurant, on the right side, next to the window and in view of the fireplace area. Our server was extremely warm and welcoming, asking if it was our first time(for me it was) and sharing details about herself. She even took the time to explain certain items I had questions about, such as «What is a Big Daddy Squeeze?» Of course I had to have one after learning it is tea(sweet or unsweet) with lemonade! Even when I ordered the chicken barbecue plate she made sure I had extra bread in order to make a sandwich and brought extra sauce without asking because she noticed we didn’t have enough. She was so nice that we decided to have dessert, which we almost never do when going to a restaurant!(I HIGHLY recommend the pecan pie, not just due to the fact it’s always been my favorite, but because their pie is delicious!) She even gave us to go drinks, which I enjoyed so much I decided to purchase a shirt. Then my most recent visit… The host was much better this time, he paid attention to us and sat us immediately. Although, this time we were on the left side of the restaurant. Our server finished seating us and before we could even get our butts in the seat she asked for our drink order. I wanted a beer, but since I didn’t see an alcohol menu anywhere I ordered the squeeze I had last time. She assumed sweet tea, which didn’t bother me, though I did have to ask to please have unsweet instead. She seemed a little more attentive towards the person I was dining with on that visit — even down to knowing his drink order and refilling at least 3 times while I waited and when she did refill mine she only gave me unsweet tea(which was extremely weak, almost like flavored water). I had been asking my companion if he wanted to try some of their dessert, so when our server looked shocked that we didn’t want any I figured she might have been eavesdropping. She brought our check to the table without asking and before I was even done eating — which I found to be incredibly rude.(I was the one paying this time, as well.) My original intent when visiting the restaurant was to purchase another shirt after the meal, however I quickly abandoned that prospect. My feeling of just being another number during this visit diminished a little when the now female hostess wished us a great day. A sincere thank you goes out to that hostess for not letting us leave on a sour note. I will be back, however I will now request the right side of the restaurant only.

I have attempted to get a good bbq meal three times in a row before i decided to add this review. For a restaurant that claims they have the best ribs in town, at this point i think they should say the have the chewiest ribs in town… The ribs have been absolutely terrible, i have to assume the pit master who made this place well known for ribs either retired or moved on and the new people in charge of cookin ribs have no idea what they are doing.

Barbecue heaven! I’ve never had a bad meal here. Service is alway great, free wi-fi works sporadically. The only bad thing about Dreamland is that is is painfully cold inside. I mean, need-your-blankie type of cold. I realize it is hot with the ovens going and such but I wish they would work out some type of system that didn’t make their customers suffer. We will, however, keep coming. I’ll just keep bringing in a coat and blanket(in July).

No briskit. No beef ribs. No stars. Tea was sickly sweet. Chicken was rubbery. Hamburger was bland. Fries and sauce, were the only things I could stomach. Something we ate there had us on the toilet as soon as we got home. Never never again. More like nightmare land.

Best BBQ in Roswell/Alpharetta in my opinion. I’ve only been once for take out order… 1 lb Pulled pork Pint of baked beans Pint of cole slaw… mayo base The flavor of the pulled pork is fantastic Beans had a perfect blend of sweet and savory Mayo was flavorful Food came fast… less than 10 minutes. Maybe even 5. Can’t wait to take the family here for ribs and the banana pudding I’ve heard so much about.

Great pork and chicken salad. Nice tavern-style motif of wood floors, beams, tables and barbecue cooker right next to the dining area. Friendly staff and fast service.

I ordered the half slab and my dad tried to order the grilled chicken with a side of green beans and a side of a basket of fries. They said they couldn’t do that so we ordered two sides of fries and they said that that was ok but then they brought us a side and a basket and charged us for it too I guess our waiter wasn’t that bright. But besides that the food was pretty tasty but nothing that knocked me out of my seat or anything.

Time & Date of visit: Saturday 4:09pm 8÷30÷14 Party Size: 2 Location/Ambiance: The parking lot has patches of potholes in the rear entrance from Houze Rd leading to the front of the restaurant. Though it is easier to get into then from Alpharetta Hwy. The aroma of smoked bbq fills most of the dining area as the shared, open area can be seen one of the cooks tending the meats. Half sports vibe at the bar with various round tables and booths aligned the opposite wall. The restaurant was around 25% filled for a very late lunch/early dinner. Service: We were greeted by the entrance and immediatedly seated with a choice of either a table or booth. We chose the latter, with comfy seats for good eating. Our server was attentive and gracious with our sweet tea’s and even with my half unsweet and half sweet tea. Most servers just forget and dump a glass full of sweet tea anyway. Wait time for our orders was average of about 10 – 12 minutes after being placed. Though our server did mix up the split, and I ended up with my friends order of dessert on my half. $ 2 isn’t worth the trouble of having to wait for it be to be rung up. Food/Beverages: * Sweet Tea $ 2.29 — I requested mine to be mixed half & half. One sip before stirring just to taste their level of sweetness, I would rank it as moderate. * Combo plate w/sausage & chopped pork. Potato salad and mac & cheese as sides. $ 13.45 I’ll breakdown each item; the chopped pork was a bit dry to my expectations. The difference between pulled pork and chopped pork was clearly evident here. More like minced and crumbles with a slight overly saltiness. I kind of drowned it in the house bbq sauce to finish what I could. Hickory Smoked Sausage — The accompanying sausage had a bit more of flavor. Juicy, with a slight hint of pepper. Mostly cut from one piece, the sausage slices was almost cut through but not fully detached. Visually this gave the distinction of the amount you get which was fair. Potato salad — it was solid good. Balanced taste of mayo, with out being too creamy. Texture was good for the potatoes, nothing was mushy. I like their version. Mac & Cheese — Meh, I had better kind of taste on each bite. The pasta was cooked al dente, but the cheese sauce had nothing going for it. I’d pass on their version. * House bbq — Memphis style I believe. Not too sweet, decently good. No wow factor, just a «basic» kind of taste. * Banana Pudding — side size $ 2 — My friend actually ordered this even though we were both stuffed. Our server still was able to up sale him by just giving a side portion. He mentioned that most places just have ok, this place had a better one. Mixed with vanilla, gives their version a hint of sweetness to accompany the banana and crust crumbles. Worth a try. Total Bill w/Tip & Tax: $ 18.49 Summary: Service was an a-ok 3 stars. My 2 stars are more for the food, which was more of a meh-almost kind of good, 2.5. I’ll give this place one more try for their ribs, but other then that I will still be on the hunt for a good BBQ around the Roswell/Alpharetta area.

When I want good spare ribs, I come to Dreamland. Almost every time I have walked in and ordered a rib sandwich to-go, the ribs have been meaty and consistently good. The service is fast also e.g. I am usually in and out within 5 – 7 minutes. I always request the sauce on the side since I like to drizzle some of the sauce over the ribs, but otherwise sauce is not required, IMO. The ribs are not dried out and they are seasoned well. As many times as I have been here, this review is overdue. And it is time for me to try something else also; the chicken in particular.

With so many great barbeque choices in the ATL area why compromise for average ‘que? That’s exactly what you’ll do at Dreamland. The place just seems a little dark and dirty. The service is hit or miss. Recently the manager seats us and gets us set up, then an indifferent young server takes over. She’s ok, but messes up the order forgetting fries, and bringing plates out haphazardly one or two at a time. The food is good. You can get the ribs with or without sauce, or with sauce on the side. The sauce is a little sweet and a little tangy. Cole slaw is solid. Dreamland is not bad, but it shouldn’t be your first choice for BBQ in the area.

I walked in at 7:30pm. The place was mostly empty. The skeleton crew must have been busy, because it took a while for someone to seat me. This was nothing major, I just thought that things would have moved a little more quickly. Another minor delay when ordering. I must have caught staff during their off-floor duties or something. But once I placed an order, my food came out quickly. I had the rib platter. The sauce was tangy with a tiny little bit of heat in it. I have had better ribs, but these were okay. Even the slaw and the baked beans were good. Service was really really friendly. The lady behind the counter was just as affable as ever. Staff jokes with each other, in spite of only a few people holding down the entire establishment. It seems clear this place is used to seeing large crowds of people. It’s got all the markings of neighborhood favorite barbecue joint.

I like the history of this place! Got the 2 meat sampler platter w two sides. The sausage was great and the green beans were smoky delicious, no love in the mac n’cheese though, and regretfully have to say the ribs were skimpy in size and a little dry. Also, the family recipe bbq sauce was a little more Cakalaky style than I expected, vinegar loose with a hint of adobo in it. Not bad, but so many others in Atlanta to try I might not make it back…
