History
Established in 2010.
Soboba has been a world class flying destination for almost 30 years. However, for two decades the site was plagued by access issues stemming from disgruntled landowners, so it could never grow as a public flight park. In the recent economic downturn, the land was taken back by the bank, and fortunately a small group of savvy pilots were ready to seize this huge opportunity. The land is now owned by pilots, a very rare situation in the paragliding world. The news of this land acquisition quickly made its way around the paragliding community, and pilots from all over the world have been flocking here ever since. We hope you’ll join us!

Troy H.
Business Owner
In 2010, three pilots started construction on a trail that would access a dozen different launch sites all the way to the top of the mountain. One of these pilots was Troy Hartman, a long time skydiving and flying instructor who saw the potential that this easy access had to attract new pilots. He started the school that year, catering to paragliding, paramotoring and speed flying. Over a hundred new students earned their wings in the first year, and the school has become well known worldwide.
