I had my rating at 1 star, but I’m changing it to 2 now because management is taking responsibility for their error and will also return my deposit.
New management seems to take grievances seriously. You’ll see in my previous review, they were trying to stick me with at ~$ 280 charge after mis-quoting me. Old management would likely not have done anything about it.
I like the new management, it’s just a shame that they came in right when I was leaving, so most of my experience are still sub-par.
You might ask «why don’t you put it to 3 stars if they are going to give you the money back?»
Why should I even have to go through these conversations? Superb service would have started with an email stating «we recognized our mistake, we wanted to make you aware but don’t worry, we got it.»
There’s still some coaching that needs to happen. Perhaps, instead of going straight to the customer, take up your mistakes internally and see if you can to ownership before giving someone else a headache.

I am close to moving out and have lived here for about a year. The building is very nice, along with the location, and rent is not too outlandish considering it location and amenities.
Compared to other places I’ve lived in Richmond this place is a shining example of how to run a property. The maintenance team is very helpful and awesome. You can stop them in the building and ask for you help and they will go out of the way to help you. As a former maintenance worker at a condo community myself this is something I really appreciate. Other places I stayed you’d have to practically beg the maintenance people to agree stop by and even then they might not show.
The location is near a lot of night life and some of Richmond’s best restaurants. Being a member of the Main Street Realty gives you discounts in many of the neighborhood shops.

I had high hopes for his place because it looks great online, but my hopes have slowly been dashed with each little inconvenience that builds up over time. If it’s not one thing it’s another. Oh, and I got stuck in an elevator for two hours one evening — that was awesome! Ha! Then it was broke on and off for weeks following my escape. #awesome Here’s some things I wish they could improve.
Fix things in public areas quickly — the door to my parking garage which I pay 100 dollars to park in was broke for two weeks leaving all parts of the complex completely unsecured.
The gym is gross and always hot. There are never any whips to clean down equipment so no wonder why it’s so gross. Great for the flu season!
It’s nice to have coffee machines, especially when they aren’t stocked until after I leave every morning. I wish I could get a cup every once in a while before heading to work.
Common areas often have trash flowing out of waste receptacles. A great look. Especially on the weekends when this most frequently happens.
The bath tubs are made for children and I’m only 5’3″… I just want to relax!
Hot water runs out in 15 seconds in the shower or tub. I have to turn it off and let it reheat twice to take a warm bath.
The mail room is chaotic 95 percent of the time I go searching for a package… The list of apartment numbers who received packages is a joke.
Other than all of that I like my unit and my neighbors are probably the best part of this complex… At least I don’t have to worry about them!
I would highly encourage friends to not move in here if they were headed to this neck of the woods. It’s not worth the price tag we pay for the quality we receive.
