Q Nails and Spa

Decent nail place, for pre-​wedding manicures. I got the french shellac, aka gel. Looks great but chipped in less than a week. I’ve never had this happen before with a gel, so I am majorly disappointed.
My two friends got the powder dipper polish, both french. Seemed to make their nails super thick, but they liked it.
Decent price, easy to find and a middle of the road choice for nails if you live nearby. Me, I live in Fort Worth and was attending a wedding in this part of town, so I won’t likely return.

It wasn’t crowded though I waited about 15 minutes because they work on appointments. I was encouraged to make an appointment the next time I come and there will be a next time!
They did a great job on mani/pedi.They didn’t rush me! They took their time, I was actually able to relax!
I would not get an eyebrow wax anymore, not quite enough attention paid to detail for my complicated and bushy (yet sparse) eyebrows.
There were two anglo men that walked in for haircuts and they came out looking great.
Overall this place is very good and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t change!

Although I usually go to a salon in Frisco, I needed my nails done closer to Richardson on this particular day. The Unilocalers suggested, wait no, highly recommended making a reservation and they were absolutely right. This salon is rather small, but I didn’t mind it.
When I walked in, everybody was busy but the lady closer to the front greeted me and remembered my name from the phone reservation. That made coming into a new place a lot more welcoming. They got started on my pedicure right after I chose a paint color, but about 40 minutes in, more customers started piling in and I could tell they probably overbooked by a couple people.
Luckily I didn’t have anywhere to be that evening, but I get way too antsy to wait 2 hours for everything to be done. Q Nails still gets four stars for doing a great job on my manicure and pedicure and for the affordable price. All of the staff was super nice too!
Make an appointment! It’s crucial.

Michelle is great! This place had a makeover and now it’s beautiful! I THINK it’s a tiny bit pricier than other places, but the service and people are really great!

I usually don’t get my nails done too often because I am a violinist, but when I do, I’m pretty particular. I usually get my nails done 3 or 4 times a year, and I haven’t been to many places that I can say I’ve liked. Most places either have a bad atmosphere, or bad service, but I’ve found Q Nails and Spa to be relaxing!
No matter who I’ve had, they’ve always given me a great manicure, pedicure, or eye brow waxing! They spend a lot of time making sure that your nails are in tip top shape and painted accurately, and I’ve came in with eyebrow monstrosity, and they’ve helped fix that problem. They have a large selection of colors, and multiple manicure or pedicure options. They also do an incredible job with acrylic nails (seeing as I must have short nails for my instrument I wanted to get something longer).
The young male that works there is a little awkward and doesn’t really socialize, but he still does a great job none-​the-​less.
The manager is super nice, but they get REALLY busy here, so I would call ahead and book an appointment. Walk-​ins are available, but they stick to their appointments well, so if you see that it is empty, but they say they’re busy, chances are they’re about to have a large group or so come in, so call ahead! Trust me, it will make your relaxing day much easier!

This is a great spot for nails in Richardson! Tracy spent over an hour on my pedicure and even stayed after hours to do an excellent job. I was very impressed. I will be back!

Q Nails and Spa is my new go to for having my nails done. I always get the Nexgen nails and they do a fabulous job every time! The employees are great, I usually work with Emma, Kathy, or Anthony when I go in, and have yet to be disappointed.
They do take walk-​ins, but my experience has been to make an appointment ahead of time. Also, compared to other shops I have been to, their prices are very competitive… So that along with consistently great results, and great service is a winning combination!

Good prices and I like the way my nails turned out. I wish they would play a movie rather than playing HGTV which can get old. There seemed to be a little tension between the employees but they were nice enough to me.

New to the area and have been to several nail shops and have been very dissatisfied. Q Nails & Spa is my new favorite. Got a mani and pedi by Emma and Jennifer. They were very nice. Even though I didn’t have an appointment, I was able to get in and out. So glad I found this place on Unilocal.Will be returning to try the nexgen polish.

Best nail place I’ve been to hands down. I used to jump around nail salons because I’m not very picky about how my nails are done because I usually get a gel mani pedi. Very easy. Before I found this place, I’ve been getting bad service and my gel manis were not lasting even a week. I have now been here 4 times and scheduling my appointments every two weeks. They are amazing and super friendly! Love this place. Will try to schedule an appointment to get my hair trimmed one day.

Just got a shellac manicure done here. Prolly the best shellac manicure I’ve gotten in my 5 years of doing shellac. They use a new nail buff and nail file for every customer. Then they let you take the buff and file home :). She did a great job with the manicure before applying the polish and my nails look awesome! I’m so happy! Plus, they have so many shellac and regular polish colors. Better believe I WILL be back!

I have been there twice and have been very satisfied. they take time on my nails, are very professional and polite. i live in Garland, and will drive out there just to get my nails done, that’s how much i like them. they will be my new favorite nail spot. They also cut hair, for those that are interested.

Excellent job! Had the best foot massage from Anthony. Felt so much better after a long long day. Oh, just call and make appointment, they are always on time.

They got me in on short notice on a Saturday. The technician did an excellent job on my manicure (gel). I often feel they don’t make a good effort to cover the entire mail b/​c they don’t want to paint your cuticles and they end up leaving a lot of nail not painted with gel. Not here. She (Tina I think was her name!?) did an excellent job. Her attention to detail was awesome. The place felt drab (which makes me worry about cleanliness) but it was a great experience otherwise. Next time I’ll get a pedi too to see how it goes.

I got the feeling when I walked in that they prefer appointments but appreciated that they took me even though I didn’t have one. They have a decent polish selection and the girl that worked on my nails was super friendly. I could tell that this is a family place and that they have a relationship with their clients. It’s not wham bam thank you ma’am. They seemed to know their clients by first name, and their children’s names. They also recently changed their hours and are now closed on Sunday and Monday to spend more time with their young children. I thought that was pretty cool.
Now onto my nails, the girl was quick, efficient, and gave me exactly what I wanted which was just a manicure and polish with little to no convo. I’m sorry I just ain’t good at the small talk and just had a long day of nonstop talking at work so I appreciated this, the other girls were chatty but they already knew each other so I’m sure you can have it however you want.
Then came time to pay, it was $ 15, now to my cheap ass that is expensive, but I am going to say worth it. My nails look great!

Love this place! Don’t be confused by some of the bad reviews as there are other salons nearby and one with a similar name. Most of the customers here are regulars from nearby neighborhoods and have been going here for years.
Highlights: Open Sundays, Good price, HGTV playing, good mani/​pedi in an hour
Tip: Make an appointment. I see so many walk ins while I’m getting my nails done and it can be difficult to accommodate everyone… But I know they wish they could.

I have had my nails done since 1990 and I have visited salons in Mesquite, Lakewood Area, Pleasant Grove and once in Richardson before this… I do not understand why the salons in Richardson can not do a good job.
I came here because of the Reviews here on Unilocal but they were not accurate. I came in to merely have my nails removed and polished. However, the ladies did SPEAK in a foreign language and then they changed between my nail treatment.
To TOP it off they didn’t fully remove my nails and now that my polish that they put on is coming OFF I have to go back and have my nails removed!!!
Which is a WASTE of my time. I will give them this they said they will look at my nails and finish removing them for me, but it is a REAL inconvenience for me!
So my recommendation is to NOT come here unless your in a REAL hurry and only need a touchup or mere polish job.: (
The ONE and ONLY good thing I can say is that all of their utensils are sterilized and NEW. So that is good, but other than that IDK…

A little different from my usual nail spot, but in a good way. Intimate, friendly and quick, this place offers great nail service! I now see why everyone gave it such good reviews. I only wish they offered a hot stone massage with their pedicures for the $ 25 charge. Will come back.
