Outpatient orthopedic physical therapy for nonoperative, preoperative and postoperative conditions involving the spine and extremities as well as fall prevention programs, treatment of vertigo, and injury prevention. Motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation injuries are frequently addressed. Our patients range in age from 8 through 104 thus far.

History

Established in 2002.

Since opening more than 10 years ago, Custom Physical Therapy has become one of the most respected organizations to attend for rehabilitation. We have grown to three locations — Sparks, South Reno and Northwest Reno. Our goal has always been to provide a fun, professional and customer-​focused atmosphere where our patients can recover under the direction of talented clinicians. We treat everybody the way we would like to be treated.

Business Owner

I started Custom Physical Therapy because I wanted to create an environment where patients could enjoy doing their rehabilitation and employees could love their work. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 1996 and have been doing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in the Reno-​Sparks area since then. I have a Ph.D. in Physiology and a Masters in Physical Therapy. I am a Certified Functional Evaluator (ergonomics, prework screens, job demands analysis, workers compensation rehabilitation).

I absolutely love treating patients (95% of my time) as well as running the business with a stellar leadership team and absolutely incredible employees who make us who we are.
