Established in June of 2004, The Law Office of Scott Newbould is dedicated to serving those accused of crimes in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. On a case-​by-​case basis, arrangements can be made for representation anywhere in the state.

Based in Redwood City, California, the majority of our practice concerns criminal defense within San Mateo County. Our localized knowledge of the legal community provides the best chance of getting great results for our clients. Our office is conveniently located directly across the street form the Maguire Correctional Facility (San Mateo County Jail).

Business Owner

Mr. Scott Newbould is a Native Californian, raised in the Bay Area. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science from California State University, Chico (’99), before completing law school at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in June of 2004. Prior to admission, Mr. Newbould was a law clerk with the San Francisco County Public Defender’s Office and with the San Mateo County Private Defender Program.

Mr. Newbould is member of the following professional legal organizations: San Mateo County Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of California, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. Mr. Newbould is a member of The Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus. In addition, Mr. Newbould is a brother of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and lifetime member of the Order of Omega.
