Our office was established in 2006. Since then attorneys Nafiz M Ahmed and Shari Sukaram have successfully defended over 3,000 individuals in criminal and DUI cases across the San Francisco Bay area.

Our primary office is in Redwood City where we run our day to day operations. We meet clients at this location, except when they prefer to meet at the Oakland office for East Bay cases.

As legal things are a matter of discretion I’ll only say that I retained Nafiz Ahmed in 2010 for something relatively minor (in the grand scheme of criminal defenses).
I ended up not being tried, but the experience left me feeling quite protected and ready to fight out my issue. To this day, their number is the only one that I have memorized.

I was driving in redwood city with over 1.3 of alcohol in my system at that moment I thought i was done. somehow God put mr. Ahamed on my way, he charged me less than what I was expected to pay for lawyer plus I end up with a misdemeanor one day work for Sheriff and the money i will pay to court not even $ 2000.always in contact with me.

Nafiz got me in and out of the courtroom in 30 seconds with the best news I heard in a long time. I was trying to get my felony expunged and the process could not have went smoother. I talked to him on the phone and explained my situation. He asked me all the questions needed to put together a motion to the judge. Went to court and the judge signed it off no problem. He got it done in less than a month. He ALWAYS picks up his phone, and is engaged and focused on every call with you. I highly recommend Nafiz to get the job done. Very positive upbeat and confident because he is phenomenal at what he does!

unfortunately i was pulled over in San Mateo and given a misdemeanor ticket. At that point i realized i needed a professional help with my case. After surfing the web and contacting bunch of lawyers in that area, non of them were able to give me a straight answer they all wanted to charge me before they can even talk to me. Well i made some more research and came across Ahmed and Sukaram Law Criminal Defense. straight to my phone i contacted his office and he answered the phone immediately, i felt comfortable speaking with him and he was willing to listen to what i had to say. he didn’t discuss pricing, which is a great sign since he want it to help me and not take my money. i hired him to take care of my situation and sure enough, he showed up to court on my behalf twice and kept me updated. now my case is on its way to be dismissed.

If you get in a pickle and need advice about the how to get out of that pickle, talk to Ahmed and Sukaram. I had to get advice for a certain violation that ended up not to be a big deal at all, but was at the moment. I didn’t know what to do, they set me at ease. I’ve referred three different friends with dui/​/​dui related offenses and all of them came back saying they couldn’t have been more impressed. Criminal defense seems to be overrun by attorneys who talk big in the outset, about how they get results and truly fight for their clients unlike «the other guys», but once they’ve got the lump sum up front do the bare minimum and pu as little time and effort as possible. Ahmed and Sukaram actually live up to it, and then some. One case was not so serious, and two had a LOT at steak, yet all three felt like their case was priority #1 and got REALLY good results (one of the more serious got her case dropped entirely). As an attorney myself I cannot tell you how important it is to have an attorney who truly advocates and takes every case personally, and I will recommend them to anyone I know who finds themselves in legal trouble. 10⁄10.

Nafiz is awesome as an attorney and as a human being. He represented my son last year on what looked like a hopeless case. He was charged with serious felony that could have resulted in first strike of three strike law. My son is a special needs individual and admitted to the police that he did it. Wow, game over right. Wrong. Nafiz once again to the rescue. He handled everything in a very compassionate yet professional manner. We were never rushed at our conferences and Nafiz treated us like family rather than a client. He assisted us in recommending steps that we could take to help him in the defense. This is the second time that Nafiz has represented my son. The first time I thought he preformed a miracle. After his defense this time I think he can walk on water. Charge reduced to a lowly misdemeanor, the 6 hours he was in custody counted as time served, no fine, no work weekends, unsupervised probation. I would be curious to see if Nafiz has ever lost a case. If you ever need a criminal attorney look no further than Nafiz Ahmed.

I hope you never need a defense attorney!
But, if you do find yourself in that unfortunate circumstance, Nafiz Ahmed is a really solid choice. He’s just about everything one needs in an attorney– a nice combination of street smart and book smart, with lots of in-​court experience. He’s responsive and communicative with his clients and I never felt blown off or that he was too busy for my case. His rates are reasonable and I never felt rushed during our meetings. He really took the time to listen to me and consider all aspects of the case.
After consulting with several Bay Area attorneys, I made the choice to hire Nafiz and am super glad that I did. He did a great job explaining our options, the entire process and keeping me abreast with what was happening and our next steps. He was in constant contact via both email and phone. Nafiz has since represented my daughter in a charge related to this same case for charges brought by one of her teachers for «Identity Theft». Once again, Nafiz, with his expertise in juvenile criminal defense, did a superb job and all charges were dropped.
