Decent rooms/​bedding. Staff was really great. It’s a cheap motel, but not dirty or run-​down, so if you’re looking for budget, this is the place. However, location is not ideal if you’re on foot. There’s not much around, so be prepared for a long walk or sporadic bus lines if you have no transpo. Lastly, they really shouldn’t say they have a fitness room, because it’s a joke. The old equipment barely functions and the room reeks of chlorine from the hot tub in the same room. Don’t expect any sort of useable fitness scenario.

The housekeeping staff was so honest! My mom accidentelly dropped her pearl earrings under the sheets and the housekeeper ran to our car when we were about to leave to ask if somebody owns them. Thank you!

I am so impressed by this hotel. I honestly never stay in economy hotels because I am really picky and I have had bad experiences. I stayed here because my parents use it regularly for trips to town and said this is the best place to stay. They were right. The hotel rooms are current, impeccably clean, and well furnished. This is one of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in and I have had some really luxurious stays at top resorts. Also, the service is great. My parents stay here frequently for medical appointments at the VA. The staff here take great care of them, which makes me a happy daughter and customer. I highly recommend this little gem.

Decent place to crash for the night while on the long haul up I-​5. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. Room was clean for a budget motel. It’s a bit off the highway but worth it. A little on the pricey side. My only criticism is the pet area (or lack thereof). It’s laughably small. You could sneeze and walk right by it without noticing. But given the options in the area, I would stay here again.

Tried to book a room but was denied because I have a service dog with papers. I do believe this is illegal!

Although it is an older hotel, it is well kept. Extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. Rooms include breakfast credit at a local restaurant. Outdoor pool, small workout area, and spa. Front desk staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Pet friendly rooms with the best pet rates ever! Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Room was nice enough. Very large room with good amenities, but smelled a bit funky. It was likely was once a smoking room YUK! Overall we still liked it. Room was large and clean. Breakfast was not on site — it was a few miles away at the Lumberjack restaurant. The food was fine — very limited selection, but a bit inconvenient for most folks to go that far for breakfast.

This Travelodge exceeded our expectations in every way: clean; comfortable; quiet: and well maintained. It seemed like a high end hotel inside the room. Seriously! I wish I could give them a sixth star. Our bargain priced room even had a kitchenette with a full-​sized fridge. What a pleasant surprise on a long road trip.

We just stayed for a night, got in late and left early. The hotel was completely booked and when we pulled up (in a pick up and trailer) the girl at the front desk, whose name I believe is Dawn, was very helpful showing us where to park in view of the front desk since the lot was full. She even left a note for the next shift to keep an eye on it. 80 bucks a night is pretty average, but the rooms were very nice. Really clean and large with a full refrigerator and microwave. I kind of wish we had another night in Redding to stay here. Also they give you the option of a little breakfast bag or a voucher for a restaurant down the road which I thought was pretty cool.

We got what we paid for and way more. We always struggle finding economy rooms for a family of five. They had an oversized 2-​queen-​bed room with a kitchenette and plenty of space for their comfortable rollaway cot. Furnishings were dated but clean. Complimentary toiletries and towels were 5-​star quality. Staff were very pleasant and professional. The usual free complimentary breakfast was replaced by voucher for 7 choices of basic hot breakfasts at nearby Lumberjacks Restaurant.

Very clean rooms !! PETs are only 8.00 a night. Free breakfast next door. In room Coffee and microwave and fridge, good deal for the $$ also free HBO. My only complaint is walls are thin can hear everyone talking in room next door at 11pm and hear the guy above showering and running pipes in the bathroom above and all around. VERY paper thin walls. Can’t sleep… Wear earplugs.

I have been pretty opposed to any hotel/​motel in the vein of Travelodge/​motel 6/​Howard Johnson/​etc for a few years. Too many ultra gross moments.
This property has restored some of my faith in the independent nature of some of these properties.
The room I stayed in here was impeccable. Clean, stylish, and mostly quiet… I rested well.
This property has a very nice outdoor pool, as well as an indoor hot tub. They are both clean and well maintained.
The staff was awesome! I arrived latish, and asked about the hot run. It was closing as I checked in, but the gentleman behind the counter said he would be happy to let me hang out there so long as I stayed quiet.
He also asked if I needed any info on where to eat or what to do in Redding, which I thought was very kind.
If you’re looking for an economy room in Redding, this is your finest option.

Redding was the last place we stopped on our tour and after spending a long day on the road my band was ready to fall into peaceful oblivion.
Our rooms were comfortable, relatively spacious and cosy (it was freezing cold outside so we were all over the moon when it turned out the heating worked). The bathroom was very cramped but the water pressure and temperature is some of the best I’ve had in the USA to date!
The walls were quite thin so I could hear even the quietest snippets of my neighbours conversations/tv’s etc but otherwise it was okay. Also, the wifi was really unreliable.
There’s also a decent pizza place next door where you can get 10% off your total bill with your room card! Pretty solid deal if you don’t feel like leaving the hotel.

This Travelodge boasts a 100% customer satisfaction rating on Trip Advisor, so I felt confident when booking. I’m not sure how they’ve achieved that, it certainly was not my experience.

My room was located on the second floor, one room away from the corner. While the room was clean, the sheets and pillow cases smelled so strong of bleach it filled the air of the entire room. Worse, I had a small skin reaction by morning! (Like many others, I use mild detergents etc for sensitive skin. Sleeping in bleach all night isn’t ideal, therefore.)
At 7:14am I was jolted awake by the sound of water rushing through pipes. I seriously thought water was running in my room at first, but quickly realized it was the shower in the next room. For the next hour I heard the shower turn off and on as the occupants next door got ready for the day. Each time sounded like a waterfall running through the room.
Around the same time, every few minutes the room shuttered a bit and a muffled «thud» could be heard. It was the sound of hotel room doors slamming shut as occupants left. Every time someone left their room and/​or returned to it, a distinct «thud» reverberated through my room. It drove me crazy! (By the way, I had the fan on the whole time for white noise and still heard all of this.)
Shortly before 9:00am I heard housekeeping loudly going door to door, knocking and entering. I understand this is their job and could have overlooked it, except the ladies were working together and loudly talking and laughing with one another while having animated conversation. Enjoy your work, yes, but be mindful of what time it is! Many travelers arrive late and try to sleep in a bit.
I’ve packed my bags and am about to hit the road feeling unrested and itchy from my nights stay. Choose another location for your stay, please.

After a two day stay, we found our selves bit up by bed bugs, and when we told them they wee extremely rude about something that is a real concerned, I didn’t want to be bitten up, and didn’t want future guests to be bitten up, you will think they would take this as a concern but no they acted as if it is normal thing, and as if I just wanted to complain, which why would I take the time out of my day to just bitch at someone for nothing. They are rude, there motel is disgusting, and really out dated, at least our room. Do yourself a favor don’t stay here.

My complaint is the rooms are dated and definitely in need of upgrading. Check out time is 11 AM. The housekeeper knocked on my door at 10:50 and I said I’ll be out in a couple minutes I’m packing. five minutes later another cleaning lady I’m packing my car and leaving. My last trip to my car and the phone rings «its 11 AM check out time» OMG really!!! Never again at Travelodge

This place is fabulous for the price. Quiet, super clean, the biggest mini fridge I’ve enter seen in a motel room. It even had cabinets plus a dresser. I was just really surprised that the Fairfield wanted $ 130 for tonight and this place only wanted $ 90. With tax it was only $ 100 and change. Not as cheap as the $ 80 I read earlier, but it is the summer and the week of Fourth of July. Can’t wait to check out the free breakfast tomorrow.

For $ 76 a night, this place is excellent! It is not directly off Hwy 5, so we had to use the GPS. You can see the blue and white Travelodge sign from far away. The front desk lady is very friendly. She provided us with a page of local restaurants. But you don’t have to go far, there’s one good pizza place right next to the hotel. The room was clean. Place was quiet. We had a good night sleep for the drive to Oregon the next day.
The refrigerator was too big in my opinion, people probably don’t use it that much while traveling. The management could probably change it to a smaller one, so there will be more space in the room.
For breakfast, you can either have cold ones in the hotel, or hot ones at Lumbarjack’s restaurant a few miles away. That was something new I never experienced from other hotels. You can choose from 7 different menu items for free. If you order anything else different from the list, then you only get $ 4 off the bill. That breakfast made my day.

We checked in late but staff was friendly & helpful.
They have a sidewalk sign that says best rated by guests. I have to agree!
