Greatest service ever. Elmer was polite and courtesy, very professional shop. As a woman I am always worried I will be taken advantage of, not here. Chivalry is not dead… at least not in Ramona, CA!

Went in Sunday morning for 4 new tires. Was told would be ready in 45 min. Came back in 35 and truck was done. Great prices, great service and easy to deal with. They also let me know of concerns they found with no pressure to do the the repair. Go talk to Eric he is awesome!

I came to Traction Tire after 13 years with another local tire business. I like the FREE flat repair, and I always had to haggle with the other business to get that. With Traction Tire it is free
I have beeen using Traction for about 3 years now.
I currently purchase tires from them for 3 of my vehicles.
One of my earlier experiences involved a manufacturer defect, where the owner went above and beyond to make me satisfied!
Recently, Brad reviewed the purchases of my primary vehicle and recommended the tire which gave me the best mileage for my dollar!
But I have one little issue. It seems that I can only get the new sticker on my windshield for tire rotation-​ONLY when I ask??? With my 60+ hour work week, it is hard to keep track of when to rotate tires on my vehicles… Could this become company policy???

I had a screw poke a hole in one of my tires. That caused my tire to eventually wear out to the point where it couldn’t get repaired. Traction Tire had a used tire in stocked that fit my vehicle. Only paid $ 50 for the tire to get replaced. Very nice staff and I was ready to go within an hour.

Came in for a tire patch the day after thanksgiving and they got me in and out in 30 mins. Counter guy was courteous and the overall experience was remarkable. Nice work boys!

I have several friends that have used Traction Tire and Service and they all boast of exceptional service. My personal experience is with Brad Vires and he is alert, fast, courteous and will not mislead you with ulterior motives or up selling. This is a family operated business and gets my highest vote of confidence.

Erik helped me, great service! they are really good I took a freshly black painted rim to get a tire mounted and they did with no scratches on my rim. Also helped they open Sundays wich are my only days off.

I was hauling my trailer and my brakes went out. These guys fixed me up and got me back on the road again. They were very helpful and nice!

TRACTion TIRES rules. I am very picky and Elmer, Brad and the crew helped me put together exactly what I wanted !! Everyone else said… no no​.no. And TT said yes .we can do it !! Now my Ford Explorer is tastefully BEASTLY !!

I called on a busy Saturday afternoon and they managed to order my unique car battery and install it in my Honda Fit in less than 45 minutes. These guys were open when most of their competitors on Main Street had already shut their doors. Great service. Great guys. Recommended. Ask for Logan.

Elmer, Brad, and recently Eric have put numerous sets of tires on many of my vehicles over the years. While they aren’t always the least expensive, I choose to do business with them because they demonstrate that they value my patronage. They are friendly, honest, and quick to handle my vehicle and concerns.
Unlike many other small town businesses, they understand the value of their customers and communicate well. I hope they continue on this path as they have built trust with me and I will continue to refer business.

Have used these guys for all my tire needs for the last several years and highly recommend them. I have used them twice in the last week and could not be happier. When I need tires or any other service for my vehicles I like to shop around and traction tire always has the lowest price, or very close to it, and usually a better price for a better tire. I am not usually able to schedule an appointment in advance due to a sporadic work schedule, but they always fit me in. They are very quick, and I have been perfectly fine waiting in the lobby or doing some nearby errands while waiting. They are always extremely professional and courteous. One other factor that I love about traction is that they don’t try to sell me on a bunch of other crap when all I want is tires. These guys definitely stand out as the #1 place for tires.

Made an appointment for 2pm. Show up and the mechanic that was supposed to start on my alignment is going to lunch? Waited 45 minutes while no one so much as touched my car.
Walked out of the place and went to Country Tire. Complete waste of time.

Great service! I parked my car and one of the guys walked out straight to me. I had a flat and he didn’t even try to haggle me with selling tires after he checked my flat. He said its repairable and I have some more tread left. After 10 minutes when I left the store to grab lunch while I wait, I got a phone call from them saying my belt is screeching and they would be more than happy to adjust it for me (not even expensive at all) and I said sure, I knew it was loud… this place is awesome. I’d recommend it!

I’ve been going to this business for free tire rotations because I get my oil changed at oil changers and it’s a free rotation for the last 3 years since moving to Ramona. I bought 4 tires April and have been more than pleased with their service. Brad is very conscientious in giving top quality customer service and ensuring that I got the best tires for my money! I will continue giving Traction Tire my business as long as I reside in Ramona! Keep up the good work guys!

I do not know the issues that I have read about in above reviews, I do know Eric that recently started working there. I also know Eric is great at service and is fair as well as knows his tires etc. I had him at a previous tire place do all my work and now that he is at Traction I will have him do all my work there. I have been in customer service over 35 yrs. myself as a self employed Contractor and know a good service writer when I use one. My speciality tires were ordered today at 5 pm and I am sure tomorrow I will be driving on them tomorrow with out problems. I do not know if Traction Tire is cheaper than down the hill and frankly I do not care, I am a professional Plumber and my Van is important to me. I carry a lot of weight.

Finally got around to posting my updated review. About 3 months ago I returned to Traction tire to get some new rubber for my back wheels (I have staggered tires so I can’t rotate them). The service, product, and price was all in all a great value and once again this place met my high expectations.
In about 10K miles when my fronts are close to wearing out I’ll be returning to replace them. Highly recommend these guys if you’re looking for value and an honest tire tech.

I’ve been a customer of this business for several years up until two days ago. When things go well, they seem to treat the customer OK. They are a small shop so don’t always have the tires you want in stock and you sometimes have to wait a day for them to come in, and anytime I have asked for a flat repair they have told me it’s not repairable, so maybe they are not so great after all. However, the one time I had a problem with a mistake THEY made, I was treated with such disrespect by the owner that I will never return to give my business to this place again. There are several tire shops «up-​the-​hill» competing for business who respect their customers. Traction Tire is NOT one.
I came in the beginning of January with an oil leak asking if they would like to compete for my business (I usually get my repairs done at R-​A-​E but the owner told me in a previous conversation he is competitive with repairs as well as tires so I gave him the opportunity). Long story, I’ll jump ahead. After finally getting the vehicle repaired several weeks later (due to them misdiagnosing the problem and it turning out to only be a leaky gasket as opposed to a part on back-​order), it was determined I was due a refund of just over $ 100 (the repair was prepaid on my debit card just over $ 200). The employee closing me out made a mistake when trying to credit my debit card the $ 100 and instead CHARGED me an additional $ 100. He said, «Oops.» He then tried to credit double the amount to make up for it. It supposedly went through.
I got the car back on February 3^rd. The charge on my account for the mistake the employee made showed up the same day as a debit from my checking account. A few days passed and the credit of $ 200 never posted to my account. I called Traction Tire, speaking to the employee and was told they were having problems with the system and that he would follow up on it and to give it a few more days. I did. I went in On February 9^th and spoke to the employee in person again being told the same. I am a patient man. Still no credit.
I went in to the shop two days ago on February 16^th and demanded to speak with the owner, Elmer. Once he was caught up to speed he became argumentative saying, «You are acting as if I did something wrong. This isn’t our problem. It’s a problem with the system.» I responded stating that he needs to understand that it is I, the long time customer who has done nothing wrong, and I am the one who had now paid over $ 300 for a $ 100 repair and expect reimbursement before leaving the shop. He said that will not be happening and I need to be patient. He then insisted that I have not yet paid anything because I put all of this on my «charge card» and that means I get billed for it later. What?! I explained that it was my bank card and was taken directly out of my checking account. He said I was wrong, it’s a charge card and I haven’t paid anything yet. (This isn’t 1980 old man.) I told him I expect to receive $ 200 in cash today or that I would file a civil lawsuit, report him to the Better Business Bureau and blog about this experience on sites such as Unilocal.He then YELLED back at me, «If you do that I will sue you for defamation of character!!!» Unreal. Can you believe this? Never did he take accountability and try to make it right. The story is worse but I kept is short. I walked out without a dime. $ 300 for a $ 100 repair. No accountability for their mistake.
I anxiously await your lawsuit… BITCH!!!

These guys are absolute crooks!!! A couple of weeks ago, I stopped in with my Jetta because my left rear tire was going flat. I asked them to repair it while I ran up to Kmart (across the parking lot). When I came back, I was told that this almost brand new tire was not repairable. «The leak is too close to the edge», I was told. I asked them to put on the spare, which they did. Charged me $ 20 basically to change a tire… Well, I stopped in to COUNTRY TIRE, just up the street today to have another tire looked at. They mis-​understood and looked at the tire in the trunk and asked «Would you like us to fix that one too?» Well long story shore, the «unfixable» tire is now fixed and on the car and the spare is also fixed and back in the trunk… all for just $ 20…
These guys are overpriced and are more interested in selling you tires that you may not need than doing what is right for you, the customer…
Stay away from these guys… Less than a mile West, you will find a shop that will treat you right!!! GO TO COUNTRY TIRE!!! Its at 2317 MAIN STREET in RAMONA!!!

These guys have saved me so many times when I get a flat tire! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for tires!
