From a 1 Star to a 5 Star! Kim (the owner) got wind about my earlier experience and really stepped in and stepped up. I brought my car back in for evaluation and she went above and beyond to rectify the situation. She replaced my whole exhaust system and fixed the welding on the 4 CATS. The rattling has stopped and the car is as strong as ever.
If there is something you are not happy with, let them know. They will fix the problem and find a solution.

My 2007 Honda Pilot needed a smog check this year to go along with my registration. I heard great things about Dave’s auto, truck and RV repair, so I decided to give them a chance. I stopped in without an appointment, they took my car right away and I was done in less than 20 minutes. If you’re looking for a quick smog check in Ramona, this is the place!

Great experience today. My work truck that I rely on for my income had a problem on Tuesday afternoon; I took it to Dave’s Wednesday morning with no appointment had it home by dinner time. Price was more than fair service was great. Highly recommend.

After going to Dave’s Auto with 3 of my cars (BMW, Lexus and Volvo), for years, sadly, I will never step foot in their place again.
Small town shop that should be extremely grateful that I was loyal to them with my 3 cars but they were NOT loyal to us.
If you, the owner, make a mistake, own it and do the right thing… don’t try to gouge me for your mistake and then turn it around that I’m the bad guy.
Sad, since I am a business owner and couldn’t imagine treating one of my long time customers like I have been treated.
Gave them a lot of my $$ thru the years.
I would suggest that you go elsewhere to have work done on your car… go only for the smog!

I have been going to Dave’s for 20+ years. We have, Initially, a RV he maintained it is retired now, we have a truck, a sidekick 4 wheel drive and 2 nice cars. They have always done a good job for us. I am thankful for having a reliable, reasonable, and friendly place, to take care of our vehicles. Initially I compared their price on fixing my car with others and they were giving a good price for the work. Most important is the confidence we have in all the work they have done, in all these years I have no complaints.

Took my truck in first thing Wednesday morning after setting up an appointment the day before… It is now the end of the business day on Friday and they still haven’t figured out what is wrong with my vehicle and must keep it over the weekend. We Recommend Dave’s Auto Truck & Rv Service! We took my son’s 1977 Ford Truck in there to get smoged, it didn’t pass. They were so quick and efficient in getting the needed repairs and parts done! We were very pleased. Melissa and Kim are awesome!

This is the second review that my wife and I have submitted to Unilocal.My wife is correct in the fact that Dave’s Auto knows their stuff, but don’t expect them to know exactly how long something will take to get done. I called the day before I brought my car in to get the AC working and was told that if I get it there by 8am they would start on it right away. Well, I arrived promptly a 8am and was told that their «master mechanic» had a problem with another car and was finishing up on it and that my car would be started on in less than 10 minutes. At 9:45 they finally got my car in the shop. They said it would be about an hour to check and it was. The AC works fine but just don’t trust them if you set up an appointment for «first thing in the morning and we’ll be right on it.»

This is the worst auto repair shop ever!!! The owner is rude and they all lie to their customers there. We had our car in there to be smogged. They had it for almost 2 ½ weeks. Each time we called, they said they were working on it and would call us back that same day. We would drive by there and the car would still be parked in it’s original spot… not even touched by the mechanic!!!
We went in finally and picked up the car. They still charged $ 150!!! The owner treated us terribly and acted so childish. Terrible customer service. Don’t take your car there… they will leave your car and take in new customers ahead of you. They are such liars.

Fast, Price was with in reason, Even helped diagnose a problem one busy afternoon before closing when I just pulled in with a question and then went home and fix it myself. Friendly and willing to please… Thank You
