Kabobs: Thought I was eating shoe leather covered in salt. Also, they bait and switch. What you see is not what you get!

Hard to find fault with such a clean, well designed place such as this. The turnover of food is so frequent from the popularity that is impossible to not be fresh! Prices are low, and the food is great!

Max ain’t enough stars for this joint! It rocked. I’m Lebanese, making me a tough critic. Everything we ate was phenomenal, fresh and very reasonably priced. We didn’t dislike a single thing we ordered. Thankfully this place is 700 miles away, or I’d be eating here daily. Why don’t we have this place in Boston?

What an amazing experience! So many fresh salads & options, this place was a breath of fresh air. I absolutely love Mediterranean food & was extremely happy with the quality of food. The sampler plate was such a great choice! This is definitely the best fast casual Mediterranean food I’ve ever had!!!

I couldn’t help comparing this place to Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill… which is a huge compliment considering Med Deli is the only place I go to every time I visit Chapel Hill. Neomonde isn’t better than Med Deli, but it definitely comes close. I ordered the make your own sampler with Chickpea and butternut squash, Cabbage delight, Pomegranate salad and Monk salad. The total came out to be $ 9.69 including tax — cheaper than the 4 sampler at Med Deli but the one at Med Deli comes with pita, this one didn’t. Med Deli also has more side options and a station where you can get your own sauces and pickled veggies. I’m only pointing out these differences because Med Deli is a very well known restaurant in the Triangle region. The menu options and restaurant setups may be slightly different, but for anyone who has eaten at Med Deli, the food at Neomonde is just as delicious and equally as fresh. I LOVED the pomegranate salad. The flavors in this salad sent my tastebuds on a wild trip through paradise and I wished it would never end. I would definitely buy whatever dressing they were using with this salad if they sold it. *hint hint wink wink* The Cabbage Delight was yummy too. They somehow manage to make cabbage taste creamy, which was indeed… delightful. I’d definitely like to come back here to try the pita and other sides. Traveling to chapel hill for good Mediterranean food can be far at times and this place looks like it could be a great alternative!

Visiting family, Wonderful food! The food was very good, a must come back. Deli style ordering with a large selection of salads, vegetables, deserts. Plus a good size main dish items to chose from. Lamb shawarma was very good.

I came here for a business lunch, and it turned into the perfect venue for a two-hour long conversation, supported by absolutely delicious food. (+) I cannot resist stuffed grape leaves, and they do them perfectly here — delicately wrapped, the way my Greek mother told me they should be, but packed with flavor. (+) Best baba ghannouj in the southeast US, hands down. (+) Wonderful grocery attached to the restaurant, carrying fresh specialty foods at fantastic prices.

One of the best falafels that I’ve had in a while, everything was super fresh. The hummus was delicious and fresh too, my toddler gobbled it all up. The baklava was flaky and delicious… we tried the walnut one and pistachio and both were really good. This place gets very busy during lunch and there’s tons of seating outside. Parking does get filled quickly.

The fact that I come here to pick up a quick, healthy and very affordable lunch between 2 – 3 times a week is testament of the goodness of this place. I seriously come here up to 4 times a week some busy weeks. Here is why you will love it too: — very fast sand service. If you do not order anything that needs preparation(sandwich…) and stick to the hot bar options you can easily go in and out in less than 10 min with really delicious food on the go! And they always have A LOT of bar options, overwhelmingly so to me at times because there are so many good ones. –fresh different options! If you are trying to find a place that accommodates ‘foodies’(whatever that really is…) vegetarians, meat eaters, vegans and people with the edge of trying something new this is your place! I am surprise how many AMAZING vegan options there are. For instance, the falafel sandwich, the sasouf(couscous cold salad), the kale salad, the two different types of taboule, the hummus … All vegan options! — FRESHFRESHERFRESHEST. Interested in complementary pita bread that is warm and literally just pulled out of the oven with your meal? Amazing fresh salads? Baklava that tastes fresh and not like boxed kind? Again this is your place! –GREATPRICES. I truly think prices cannot be beat. I go in and order half a sandwich, two sides and a baklava(the lunch special served any time in the day) and pay less than $ 10. And it is VERY filling and a ton of food. Often times I have left overs. –BESTMEDITERRANEANFOOD in the Triangle. I am spoiled with a mother in law who is Lebanese and cooks the most amazing Mediterranean food. This is so far THEONLYPLACE that I’ve found that compares to that. Fresh, great taste and just delicious! –lastly, if you are looking for a place to buy specific Mediterranean ingredients and special goods you probably have a great chance here. You can also buy fresh pita bread to bring home with you… And continue recharging on goodness throughout the week. I have a good gut feeling this might become your favorite spot as well. I mean, how can’t it?

I think the food is good! As far as the salads go :) However, my friend was getting a large order for her office and an older guy who worked there(kind of looked like an opener) was pretty rude about the fact that she was taking so long… Dude, she’s ordering from your restaurant. My friend alone spent 25.00 on salads. To me, that is not how you treat paying customers… Because of that I’ll go to fresh market for my over priced pasta salads.

This is the good old lunch spot when I want something quick and healthy. I like their lunchbox special, half a sandwich with 2 sides and a side dessert of honey baklava. My go to are the chicken salad, lamb or beef sandwich, and the garlic eggplant. The garlic butter they make here for dipping the kabob is so so good too.

I really love this place! I’ve never walked away bummed or dissatisfied which is a rare thing. They have a wide variety of vegetarian if you have diet restriction along with great meat selections of you want that. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

This place was delicious! A friend who grew up in Raleigh recommended it. If you like mediterranean and want an over-the-counter delicious meal this is your place! I got the lasagna lunch special — eggplant veggie lasagna with two sides(beet salad and hummus though there were so many I wanted to try). If you tell them it’s your first time they give you a small cube of baklava to try(very good!). It was under $ 9. I’ll be back!

Authenthic, fresh, and delicious… Hummus, eggplant and taubolui are my favorites. Choclava and orange baklava are best. And Desserts are very fresh and made from the scratch. Choclate mousse and Tiramisu are my favorites. Staff are friendly.

This place is legit! I had a culinary event for a food club catered by Neomonde and they did not disappoint. Every single thing I ordered, including the sauces and pickled veggies, tasted authentic and was very tasty. The Middle Eastern members praised the Lebanese food for its authenticity and the non-Middle Eastern members couldn’t get over how good the food tasted! I was blown away by how great the food was and I am definitely coming back here again. Hummus: A perfect blend of chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, tahini, and lemon. Each ingredient balanced one another. A good combination of sour and chickpeas tasting. Baba Ghanouj: Light and creamy eggplant spread. The smoky taste is a nice surprise when you dive into your first bite. If you are a fan of eggplant then you need to try some of this! Tabouli: A tart Middle Eastern salad that is more on the sour taste spectrum, but surprisingly refreshing with the mint and parsley added in. There is also some cracked wheat mixed in to add another taste of grain to the dish. Falafel: Fried chickpeas ball served with tahini sauce. It was a grainy taste with hints of lemon and garlic with each bite. Kibbeh: Finely ground beef in fried crack wheat with onions and typical Middle Eastern spices. They are usually in a football shape(American football). Initially you get a grainy taste, but as you reach the beef you get a blast of meat, onions, garlic and definitely some cumin. Lamb and Beef Shawarma: Heaven in my mouth! The alternating taste of lamb and beef with subtle hints of onions, tomatoes, and the amazing combo of Middle Eastern spices such as cumin, cinnamon, and oregano makes my mouth water while writing this… Baklava: buttery, sweet fillo dessert with an assortment of different nuts. A great combination of butter, honey, and nuts. Lady Fingers: Basically a baklava with fewer nuts and the fillo is rolled into a cylinder shape. Bird Nests: A very sweet dessert! Shredded fillo dough is on the outside while pistachios and walnuts fill the center. A sweet syrup tops it off, which gives it its sweet taste despite the fillo and nuts sort of balancing it out. Expand your global palate at Neomonde if you want to have the best Middle Eastern food Raleigh has to offer!

Neomonde is a cafeteria style Mediterranean eatery and market. It seems to be very popular around lunch and with good reason. They have a great selection and tasty food. It was great to be able to see the side dishes through the glass window verses just reading the description on the menu, and it really helped in my selection process, though I did want to try them all. The eggplant ratatouille was amazing; large chunks of eggplant cooked and seasoned to perfection. I also enjoyed the Kafta kabob. It is different from other Kafta kabobs I have had… there is a unique flavor… maybe nutmeg? We went on a busy Sunday morning and the line was wrapped across the store with about 25 people ahead of us but I was suprised how quickly it moved. I was at the register paying for the food after only 10 minutes. If you come during prime lunch time, you should still plan to wait a bit. It probably took another 15 minutes for the food to be delivered to our table. The amount of food you get is decent for the price. They have a lot of seating inside, and a huge shaded patio in the front. I will be back again, hopefully many more times, to try out all those yummy side dishes and bakery items which I have yet to try, but looked delicious.

I thought I’d be impressed by this place but I’ve had better Mediterranean food elsewhere. Falafels were pretty tasty. However, they had a weird smell to it that I could sometimes taste if i focused on it. The chicken kabobs were absolutely juicy. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed by their mjadarah. We got it because the server told us that it’s the tastiest rice they have. It had the texture of beans and tasted like it too. The apple cake was a bit dry and I guess it was out for awhile because the icing was cracking… The lady finger was good on the other hand! Service is like that of panera, jasmin or mcalisters– you order up front and they’ll bring the food to your table. Our server was so rude. She would get annoyed whenever we asked a question. There wasn’t even a long line so I don’t know why she was so cranky. Also, it was just 7 pm and they ran out of some of their main dishes. For example, I really wanted to try their lasagna but our server said they weren’t making any more for the day. Their menu is very confusing. They don’t have falafels listed as an option but when I asked if they had some, they said they did. The seating area is cute and spacious but it gets loud. Overall, yes they provide authentic food but the little service they do offer is unpleasant.

I have been coming to this restaurant and grocery store for the past 6+ years in and off. I have noticed since then that the lunch crowd has been steadily increasing throughout time, to the point where sometimes it is hard to find parking! Though this location is a little obscure to the rest of the world, once you discover Neomondes you won’t forget where to find it! They have delicious options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, as well as many vegan alternatives. I have never spoke with anyone who did not absolutely love this restaurant, so if you have never been please take the time to check it out!
