Dr. Jacobson has been in practice as a psychiatrist since 1985. He is also board certified in sleep medicine and provides seep evaluations and treatment.

Business Owner

Dr. Jacobson attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he received his BA/​MA degree in four years in German Language and Literature, received a teaching degree in Russian from the Pushkin Russian Language Institute, Moscow, USSR, and completed his premed requirements and the requirements for a BA in biology. During that time he was organist and choir director for the Episcopal congregation at Seabury-​Western Theological Seminary. He then went on to complete his MD degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. His psychiatric internship and residency were completed at the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics in Chicago. He has been in private practice since 1985 and has also practiced in state hospital settings, research institutes, correctional facilities, and university settings.
