SummerTech at SUNY Purchase is the best summer computer camp in the world. We proudly boast a 4:1 camper to staff ratio (in many cases even better ratios!) and offer the latest and greatest in code, web, and animation curriculum. Simply said, if you’re looking to learn code there’s no better place for accelerated learning that comes straight from your teacher and not from an online curriculum. All of our staff are former campers who have spent many weeks in our leadership program being groomed to meet our standards for you. They go to top colleges and many of them are now out in the world programming at companies like Google and Amazon. Ask other computer camps where they get their staff and how they present their curriculum. One week at SummerTech and you’ll know there is no other experience like ours.

History

Established in 2002.

SummerTech was founded in 2002 by Steven Fink in an effort to combine the tech camp forum with a true grass roots summer camp experience. First held at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and then the next four years at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, we eventually landed in our favorite home in 2007 at SUNY Purchase College in Purchase, NY. Our beautiful setting and first-​rate facilities make the SummerTech experience as great as it is.

Steven F.

Business Owner

Steven Fink has been involved in the computer camp business since 1993 and was a member of American Computer Experience who built the large computer camp company model. Steven is an accomplished pianist and holds a BA degree in Music Education. He currently teaches general music, band and chorus at Washington Middle School in Harrison, NJ.
