History
Established in 2003.
Lynne DiMario and I met in 1990 as neighbors and immediately realized that we share a passion for food, originating from our Italian heritage and similar family experiences.
Like many Italian immigrants of the early 1900’s, our grandparents were remarkable people who struggled to be productive and become independent. Of their many extraordinary qualities, was an infatuation and talent with food that would rival the most celebrated chefs of our time. They knew exactly how to bring together the simplest, fresh ingredients in order to create unforgettable meals, and they made certain that we learned this skill by helping.
It was not until we were older that we truly understood that, although the food was wonderful, the true benefit was in sharing the experience with family and friends. We are most grateful for having had that opportunity and continue to pass it along to the generations that have followed.
Meet the Business Owner
Catherine P.
Business Owner
I purchased Lynne’s Dolce e Pane in August 2008 from my dearest friend, Lynne DiMario Kashmanian. Lynne founded the business in 2003 and was diligent in her effort to transform her Grandfather Calise’s almond bar recipe into the finest biscotti available.
Lynne and I met 20 years ago when we became neighbors. We connected almost instantly, sharing a common passion for cooking, baking, food and wine. Throughout the decades that followed, our friendship evolved into a sisterhood.
During 2006, Lynne’s health issues caused her to leave the business and in August 2008 I assumed ownership of the bakery and, since that time, have continued the mission that Lynne started.
Regrettably, on September 12, 2010, Lynne passed away. I will always remember the laughs, tears, worries, celebrations that we shared and her spirit will alway remain part of Lynne’s Dolce e Pane.
