Things I really like about Karems…
1) Consistently tasty food
2) a great pub menu with lots of choices that include all the classics
3) outdoor seating, often shaded if you catch it at the right time
4) Really friendly, attentive service
5) Great prices. Very reasonable and worth what you receive
Of course that I love that it’s within walking distance to my house :)
Things I wish would be improved upon…
1) unkempt restroom
2) Smells like fryer oil inside, to the point that I wouldn’t be able to dine inside without being bothered by it
Tonight, our waitress was busting her behind, serving all the outdoor tables and heck, probably all the indoor tables too. She was killin’ it. Great job!
Overall, it’s a solid choice for American pub food while visiting Norton Commons

We sat for about 5 minutes while totally ignored. Went to the bar and asked if we needed to be seated and was told by one of the 5 guys behind the bar doing nothing that someone would be with us shortly. 5 more minutes passed and still no service, so we left. Also this was during a non busy time with most of the tables empty.

I’ve been to Karem’s numerous times for lunch and it is always good… very consistent. I finally came for dinner… and it’s amazing what they produce in that tiny kitchen! My wife had the seared cod special and she said it was the best she’s ever had (ummm…not sure how to interpret that!). I had the wings and they are fantastic… and you get a dozen for about $ 8. Great place, great friendly wait staff.

A friend and I stopped in late last Saturday after attending an event just down the street. When we first walked in, we definitely felt like Norton Commons outsiders but things got better after that. The man who took our orders was really friendly and the food was pretty great. I had the grilled chicken club wrap, which was a ton of food and really tasty. I would order it again!

Best Burger in Town… Friendly service and great atmosphere… Owner came out and talked to us to be sure everything was good… Great addition with the new track lighting, lights the front bar up and gives it a neat look

I split the Boss burger wrap with someone. It was huge! I’ve never had a burger wrap before but now I’m addicted. A tip: get it with the horseradish cheddar. Get ready to be blown away from your first bite to your last.

While visiting from Cleveland, I love to eat here. The owner is so friendly! Last night, I had the crabcake sliders, which were awesome! Also, try the sweet potato fries! I highly recommend Karen’s!

We just discovered this place last week so we thought we’d give it a try. The Commons seems to be growing quickly. We ordered chicken sandwiches and hamburgers which were quite good. We sat outside since it was a nice day so maybe that’s why our service was quite slow. We’ll try it again and try sitting inside to see if there is any difference in the service.

Love this place! I go up their all the time during the summer with friends. I normally get the Boss Burger (fantastic by the way). Sure the service is not the best, but that is the style and setup of the restaurant.

The food was good but the service was TERRIBLE. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and mac n cheese (both were delicious) and my bf got a chicken wrap (also good), but it took them about 20 minutes to bring it out. There was maybe only 1 order in front of us too. After bringing the food they literally did not pay attention to us at all until they brought the check. My bf had to refill his own water. There are definitely places in Louisville with the same food and much better service.
