First visit. Cute place. Ordered well done omlet and they cooked it wonderfully. But, I suspect that the hash browns had been waiting too long to have been cooked just for me… they were cold and not very tasty. Waiter was very accomodating. But, todays experience and price, will make this my second choice location for eggs.

So terrible! Had the worst experience My wife daughter and I left an appointment nearby and thought we’d give it a shot. ACCEPTNOIMITATIONS! Wild Eggs this place ain’t, but boy at every turn they sure try to rip them off. «Skillet cinnamon roll»?! Clever menu item names… Weak sauce Worst service. No urgency. 25 minutes from order to table for Breakfast… Not ok. Then it comes out cold and wrong. My wife’s Belgium waffle so cold it couldn’t melt butter… My omelette wasn’t prepared with the requested ingredients, skillet potatoes out of a bag and cold to the touch. Daughters eggs cold too. Breakfast isn’t difficult. Won’t be back.

The first few times I came service was subpar but if you come before 9:00 you can get in and out. I always eat omelets for breakfast and theirs are good. The grits rock. Try their fresh squeezed oj, you can’t go wrong with that selection.

Stellar service! My eggs Benedict was pretty good aside from the yolk being a little overcooked, as it wasn’t very runny. The inside of the restaurant is nice with a large bar & TVs. Will come back for mimosas!

I ordered the banana nut French toast which was fabulous! I’m typically not a sweet eater for breakfast or brunch but I am glad I gave it a try. As a party of two we went on a Sunday around 11:30 and were promptly seated. Good service and a place I would return to!

Went there for lunch on a Saturday at 2:00 and were some of the only people there. Friendly wait staff & manager. It took longer than expected to get our food. The good: The Picoso and Bendito were good. The chili was a more dry version(not soupy) & tasty. The roasted red pepper bisque was excellent. Biscuits and gravy were not a plate of slop like most places, the gravy was precisely placed on the biscuit. Not so good: Dropping a pinch of shredded cheese in a bowl of grits does not make them Cheese Grits. Score points by actually baking a dish of real cheese grits. My daughter wanted a combo(soup & half sandwich) She ordered with a burger and I was surprised that they let her order the combo that way, it is usually only for sandwiches they can cut in half. They brought a whole burger & soup and charged for them separately. Not so bad, but way more food than she could eat. Not sure there is room for more places similar to Wild Eggs, but I would eat here again.

I love brunch! I’m always looking for a nice brunch place nearby and passed this several times before trying it out. I read the reviews and was skeptical. It. Was. Awesome! The food — I got the fabulous waffles and it lived up to its name… fab-u-lous! The chicken sausage was to die for. The service was great… but in all honesty, it may had something to do with my 13 months daughter. She naturally draws attention and the staff loved her. So I can’t really co-sign the poor service claims because they were great! Would definitely eat there again!

Had the biscuits and gravy with cherrywood bacon and coffee. Bacon and coffee were good. Service was excellent. B&G was pedestrian. Store bought canned biscuits and gravy that was watery and meatless. I can get much better at The DQ. Disappointed.

Really liked the BALT sandwich. Toppings were cold and fresh. Pretty good place for lunch in my opinion. I will defiantly be back to try out more and a drink or two also lol.

Stopped at the Zeggs for my first time It was clean well lit and a comfortable setting. It was chilly outside and a little chilly inside as well. The staff and waitress was attentive and friendly I had a dish that included poached eggs cornbread chorizo and salsa. It was not quite as hot as I would have liked it and I would suggest using warmed plates to help. It was not crowed so received the food quick. It was all very good but not extraordinary Thinking this is a good place to stop if your in the area

Went to Zeggz on a Friday morning with a friend and was super excited to try with all the hype on Unilocal. We walked in and were greeted kind of. And we sat down and our server was kind of fake and didn’t really want to be there. Anyways we ordered and the lady brightened up a little bit and just quickly took our order and brought it out. The food was great I got the Fabulous pancakes with a Side of breakfast potatoes. The potatoes came out room temperature but we’re still good. The pancakes were delicious and had so much flavor, they were the highlight of my breakfast! We did not feel rushed which was nice but over all this place is eh in service and the food was alright but the pancakes were delicious! Don’t know if I would return. Maybe on a weekend morning

I don’t get many Sunday’s off from work anymore, so when I do, one of my favorite things to do is venture out to try a new place for brunch. Living on the east end, I’ve driven past this place a few times and it looked like a hip little place to try for brunch this Sunday. My boyfriend is more of a mass buffet brunch kinda guy, but I’d take Wild Eggs any day of the week, so I convinced him to try this place. Cool menu with a lot of specialty type options, so more up my alley. We arrived about 1, and got seated in less than 5 minutes, so off to a good start. The server wrote her name on a napkin for us, I thought that was kinda cute. I was immediately drawn to the bar menu, and went for a classic Bloody Mary. Having become accustomed to the drinks at Wild Eggs, I was rather let down. Cool presentation, but I could barely taste the vodka. I should have tried one of their specialty ones instead, but $ 9 was a little high, knowing I’d want two. He went for the Z burger and I went for the enchiladas and eggs, I love a good southwest style breakfast. Portions were a decent size, but prices a little high. Again I kept comparing to Wild Eggs, and left feeling slightly let down. Bottom line is, service was decent and a nice place to try, they have a nice patio and unique feel, but for $ 40 after tip, I think I’ll venture back go Wild Eggs or down to the highlands the next time.

This was our second time at zeggs. The first time we waited an hour(and I timed it) between ordering and getting our food. The waitress apologized and said the kitchen lost our order. If she had been at all concerned with providing any service to our table she might have noticed that we hadn’t gotten our food. They apologized and comped the meal. This time we waited approximately 15 minutes to get seated and then another 10 before the server decided to acknowledge we existed. Once she did, I ordered orange juice. The substance she brought looked like orange juice and had seeds floating at the top. That should have been my first clue. I don’t know what was in that glass but it wasn’t orange juice. It tasted like sour spoiled grapefruit juice… but it was orange not red so it couldn’t have been grapefruit juice. After that we simply left. If they can’t get orange juice right how can they get any food right? Stay far away from this place.

I admit to being dubious given the service reviews. Glad we took a chance! The service was friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. The gluten-free waffle made my morning! Elijah, our server, was a joy. We will be back!(I need to try the GF pancakes next!) Edited… Fourth time here and I am just trying the Bloody Mary! This is the best birthday brunch in a long time.

Pretty good… Service was fast and wait staff very friendly. 3 cheese grits were really tasty. Biscuits were amazing, they have a hint of cinnamon! Breakfast potatoes were over done and dry but it was really busy and I think I got the end of the barrel before the new batch came out. Ranch Benny was very spicy! There are jalapeños all through it so beware. Over all it was pretty good… Will return but try something different.

I did want to update this review as less than 24 hours after my post, I received a message from one of the owners of Zeggz. He sincerely apologized and asked to talk over the phone about my experience. On the phone, after my full explanation of the events he mentioned there has been additional training to the staff and that they want to make sure no one has an experience like mine. I appreciated the immediate concern and personal apology. I will be going back to Zeggz and give them another shot. But definite kudos to the owners for a quick response and genuine concern. — — — — - 06/27/2015 I went back to Zeggz yesterday and was so happy I did! You can tell they have trained the staff and they have experienced a lot of change. There was only a 15 – 20 min wait mentioned at the hostess desk. We were seated after 10 minutes and our waiter greeted us promptly. Great orange juice! A must for your visit. Out table had the frittata, French toast, Bueno bendito, and the Zeggz Classic. Good reviews on the frittata, even though I didn’t try it. The Bueno bendito was eggs Benedict with cornbread instead of muffins, sour cream, guacamole and cotija cheese bathed with a slightly spicy salsa. As delicious as it sounds! Now the French toast was just to die for… Fluffy, but creamy; sweet, but not cloying… This is what I would order each and everytime. The service was friendly but still needed some timing tweaks. There were times it seemed slow. Nevertheless, Good effort training the staff! Alas! Redemption as sweet as their crème brûlée French toast!

A lot of potential for this place! I went on a slow day, but I feel like the server was more concerned on hitting on his coworker than working. I caught the manager talking to him and breaking them up a few times to get back to work! The food is what matters though, and the food is what took my score to 4 stars(where as service alone would have made it a 3) The manager was kind enough to go through the items that were within my dietary restrictions, and also suggested items that he enjoyed. I got the GF Croque Madame and some GF pancakes. The pancakes were topped with butter and powdered sugar and they were SOOOOOO delicious, I didn’t even add syrup! That never happens! The Croque Madame is a wonderful dish for people who want a savory breakfast. Probably Adkins diet friendly if you’re into that! I replaced the potatoes for cheesy grits(those were standard) My friend got an omelette and biscuits and gravy. She said it was good, but not her favorite as she has a soft spot for biscuits and gravy from Highland Morning. I think we will go here again sometime, because the location is good for both of us, the food is good and the atmosphere is nice. Hopefully they can work out the kinks with some of the wait staff!(Again — manager was on top of it!!)
