This store is always good to go except one BAD MARK:(Do not shopping there when you see an old «lady» cashier, with white/​grey hair, with glasses, always with a wide black belt. SHE ALWAYS ALWAYS RAISE THE PRICE:(
I always go there to pick fabric to work for my sewing design. There are 2 paper signs clearly written «big sheet 3.99 $”“small sheet 1.99 $», then Monday is their 75% off day. One time, I picked one Queen size sheet, she says that’s 10 $! And she strongly insist on that price, and she even says she has a same one that costs 80 $! That’s ridiculous! Even in Ross, the best quality sheet wouldn’t cost more than 50 $! Another time, I picked a table case, she says it’s 5 $! It’s just a second hand polyester white fabric!
Why she always raise the original price? Does she get money from these incomes?
Why don’t other manager stop her doing this?
I never get the same problem with any other cashiers, they all charge the right price.
People donate all those things for free, people buy things from there coz they are not rich enough to buy new things.
Well, I still go shopping there, coz everything everyone else is good. Only this woman, if I saw her, I won’t buy anything on that day!
Please fire her! Coz her, customers will not be happy and get very mad temper for the rest of the day. Store will loss many customers coz of her! Don’t want to see her again!
This «old lady» is a bitter hearted WITCH!

Mondays are amazing. 50 percent off the store and 75 percent if its more than 10 days old! Amaaazing brands. You will need to have an hour or two of patient looking through clothes to find the nicest stuff.
Only reason for 4 stars not 5 was that a man who was working there looked over! The dressing rooms and looked me in my face to see if I was in there to see if the room was available for the next person! He should have looked under at feet.

As a fan of this store, I was going to donate cloths today. The store is closed for remodel but THIS LOCATION will reopen in 3 weeks, (JULY 2015) Per calling another location :-)

The employees here are very nice. The store is kind of dingy and a bit disorganized, but I’ve found a couple gems here. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but if I’m in the area I’ll drop by. You never know what you’ll find!

I must say this consignment store is my one of my all time FAVORITES! I feel like they have a great selection with paintings, vintage clothing and Vintage name brand items… I’m not gonna lie! It’s hard finding vintage items with good quality but I’ve been very lucky over the years and they seem to never disappoint! Just know you’ll have to be patient when shopping at this location. You may not find what you want right away. It’s always a hit or miss when it comes to thrift shopping. They also recently remodeled not too long ago so it’s much more spacious for a lot more items! The workers are always friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure seeing them when I stop by to shop. Good Luck and Happy Shopping :0)

The new Poway store is lovely and has been remodeled. If you are shopping for nice furniture it is great. Aside from that if you want anything else you might as well forget it. Evidently all they put on their trucks now to ship to this location is high end furniture and you can barely find any housewares electronics collectibles or other needed household items. You see nothing but the same items day after day. It is pretty sad and most of the regulars are going elsewhere for their good

This place had recently closed but has re-​opened after a remodel. Nice to see things back in action.

Not happy with the new way things are running. I used to go every Friday and Saturday and was excited about finding that hidden gem at a good price. Now that hidden gem is not on sale and they are charging close to retail. What happened to 50 percent off Friday Saturday??? I find myself at Walmart now, since I can get brand new for the same price or close to it. Not happy. Not sure what happened, but its depressing. Store is prettier now, but I think the people of Poway were happier before with the the fun deals they could find. No one wants to find a fun retail priced deal do they?

Very friendly and helpful employees. Prices used to be better. Some used items are the same price as new items in Walmart so now I don’t stop at the store as much as I used to. Prices at any used store should be half or less than new items at the regular stores. For example last time I went in there I bought a two gallon glass jar that was marked $ 24.50. With their special 50% off I got it for $ 12.50. Later I see same size and brand new jar at Walmart for $ 11.95.
It was disappointing and a shame because I like the store and would like to give them my business if the prices would be more reasonable.

It’s open again!
I really enjoy shopping here. The grand re-​opening was fun as they were giving out a $ 500 shopping spree. I didn’t win, but imagine the excitement of spending that much money in a thrift store!
They opened the parking lot behind the store, which I’m surprised they had not done that before. The parking used to be really tight. Now, because of the easier parking, I’d come more often. I made that comment to one of the employees and he said he’d make sure the staff knew about it.
The inside was completely rearranged. It will take a while to get used to, but it is much nicer now. Go there. They always have great sales!

Not always the best selection but that come with the territory of thrift shopping.
But the people that work here are the sweetest I’ve seen! The go out of their way to help and are great with kids!

I recently moved to poway and I was looking for some furniture for my apartment and people told me that I should check out the salvation army. I went there and found a few nice things that I wanted but I wasn’t sure of the price I asked for the manager and the Manger was the sweetest lady. I’m not quite sure what her name was but I think it was Luba or Luna or Lubna she was the lady with the accent. she helped me out A LOT she helped me find the prices and by the end of the day I realized that i spent around $ 350. She was the best employer there she always smiled and welcomed people. I want to thank her and her crew because the was the best gift I could’ve gotten for new years. Thank you salvation army. Thanks to her I will be visiting you guys soon. I wish I could’ve thanked luabna in person.

Love this place! On Mondays every thing 10 days old is 75 percent off and everything else is 40 percent off. Great furniture selection. They restock often. The manager is great! And makes sure you get a good deal! Look for her to put prices on that aren’t on the item. I don’t look at clothes, but large selection. I mostly go for books, records, games, dishes and furniture. No complaints. I also drop off a lot of donations here. Oh one complaint. WORST parking ever. It’s so tiny and hard to maneuver around. Takes patience.

After frequenting this place, I don’t think I’ll be back here again. The lack of quality control here is astounding. I’ve found some great pieces, but the number of pieces I’ve seen with holes, extreme fraying, and huge stains is ridiculous. To top it off, they’ve recently started charging EIGHT DOLLARS a piece for women’s skirts and tops. These are not designer/​name brand pieces either. If I have to pay $ 8 per piece, I’ll go to Ross and pay a few more cents for something brand new. This is an organization that’s supposed to provide an affordable way to for those down on their luck to have nice clothing, and they’re charging almost full price for torn and stained pieces. The dressing rooms are always dirty and they smell terrible. There’s no rhyme or reason to how they organize the women’s clothes.

Every time I come here I tell myself never again.
They need a new strategy. Over pricing things 6 days out of the week (items that are broken, or were free with purchase to begin with) and dropping them down to 75% one day of the week — not working. It creates huge lines and traffic jams.
Suggestion: make everything reasonably priced every day of the week. Many other salvation army stores do this — they have 50% off sales every day, depending on the tag color. Your workers won’t be terrified to come to work on mondays, your customers will be able to get a parking spot and actually come in — everyone wins. The last time I was there the line was so long (almost the length of the building) that they were doing a raffle — I assume to keep the masses from revolting…

I have to give this store credit for continuing to improve. It still has several issues as described on my previous review, but the pricing has become more reasonable and the store, while still very messy, is definitely more organized than it was one yet ago!

One star because their parking situation sucks big time, while they were having a big storewide sale, the line to check out was wrapped around the store. Aint nobody got time for that.

This Salvation Army is huge.
Parking will make you want to tear your face off, or wish that you are sitting on the 405.
Patience grasshopper. A spot will open. Just hang in the back where the donation center is at until you see someone heading to their car with treasures in tow.
SAFETY TIP. Don’t park in those first three parking spaces. Getting out of there is damn near impossible. You will run over some old bat who just bought polyester pants and a lamp shade or someone will broadside you while they barrel into the parking lot at 40mph. Horns will blare, select fingers and your blood pressure will rise.

Pretty good thrifting for north county. The goods are hit and miss, but that’s the game. I stop by about twice a month lookin for a score.
Personnel are also hit and miss. I’ve seen some frustrated and stressed out employees stocking and organizing the shop. Today, however I was greeted with a smile by an employee. She made a suggestion while I was sifting through a huge rack of khakis, and I ended up going home with a great pair of pants that she thought might work for me. Would have been $ 35 at marshalls, but in almost new condition cost about $ 4 after a 40% store-​wide discount. Did some digging and found some other clothes this trip that will help me look professional when starting a new job.
I think prices are a little high in general. Almost all clothes are $ 5 and up. However, every single time I’ve been in here there is some sort of deal. I’ve never felt like I have overpaid.
I had a great experience on my last visit. I also feel like this store has ok to decent selection.
to people who complain about the parking lot: come on, it’s not that bad.
